oops! deleted...sorry! please don't report me for mentioning the 'P' word. We too have shame in the family. My SIL married a lovely man............... unfortunately his uncle was both a real estate principal and a politician. Oh those inlaws! ;((

Joy with the size of your tree, his brain power must have been saved up for you. You can't do that much detective work without a few of the old grey cells!!

No Palmers for me either :o(( My lot seem to be the standard stock, Labourers, Miners, Train Drivers etc. My Tax Inspector seems to be the most educated out of all of my ancestors, don't know what happened to the brain power after him!!! Joy

No Palmer's yet. Doubt will get any but finger's crossed. We seem to come from pretty average Lancastrian stock - mainly farmers and cotton workers so I suppose and I can't believe I'm saying this but - I should be proud of our estate agent / accountant - he must have had some proper learning unlike the rest of us! But who knows - maybe there are some more dim and distant secrets and slightly more interesting tales to unfurl over the next decade or so!!

LOL and still LOL as I type. I honestly don't know. Been desperately looking for a highwayman (romantic ideals and all that). I suppose your tax inspector is simply the more contemporary equivalent.

Think I've just found our first family secret - we had an estate agent in the family in 1901! And even worse he was an accountant as well! How will I show my face in public again! :o))
