where would i go to get boxes for packing? used to pick them up in the supermarket, but you dont seem to do that now. Do you have to buy them? if so are they costly ( we'll do the move ourselves by the way so no removal firm involved) jess |

Jess when I did my move I bought some from the local storage place - most storage spaces have luttle shops where you can buy packing materials. THese ones have handles etc so are good for bigger stuff. I also went into supermarkets and checked when they re-stock teh shelves - then if you go at that time you can collect boxes as you go around. if you google as well a lot of company sell house moving packages where you can buy boxes, bubblewrap, packing tape etc and they deliver them to you. THey also do wardrobe boxes, telly sized boxes etc - which I struggle dto get from the storage places. I looked at this option but was never shure I'd need the amount in ther minimum order - turns out I used twice as many and buying them a few at a time cost me more. I packed a couple of boxes a night once I'd sold my flat and that way I had no last minute panic. I left myself out enough to live on (one plate, one set of cutlery etc) and I had it all done with a week to go Well done by the way. And good luck with the move. Z xx |
