that happened once with tesco - he left the bag with fish and frozen chips in the van noticed it at the next house and came back - said - thought you might have been wanting these for tea!. Tesco have been great for me - Asda - well!!!!!! he was rude and nasty - so deleted them from my faves |

Hi I have phoned them - unhelpful customer services officer - can't do anything else to help but refund & will get charged delivery again if you reorder. You can't speak to my supervisor as he will tell you the same as me & anyway he's busy!!!!!! I've only done this for the last couple of weeks as I can't get out at the moment. I'd hate this to be permanent - I'd drive myself nuts!! |

I use Waitrose. they are wonderful. Nice cheery delivery man and they replace out of stock items with the nearest possible, and they are the nearest possible. Change your supermarket ! |

You think that's bad. Last week had an order in for Asda to deliver on sat evening between 7 and 9. Not my choice of delivery time but the only slot left even though I checked out over a week in advance. By 9pm there was no sign. Rang ASDA number - not aware of any problems. Then got a call back, actually they'd spoken to the driver and he was running 'very slightly late'. How late - an hour! That's not slightly, its past my bedtime. Delivery turned up finally, no apology for lateness. I'd ordered £100 of stuff. But the bill said they'd delivered £30 worth. Lots of what I ordered they said they didn't have in stock - I'm not talking about luxuries I'm talking about basic loo roll and catfood. What they meant was it wasn't on the shelf and noone bothered to get it from the back of the shop either. What was delivered also bore no relation to what the bill said had been delivered (apparently they had no apple juice, but they'd delivered the orange - in fact it was the other way round, etc, etc). Nor did either the bill or what had been delivered bear any relation to what I'd paid for. However, I didn't bother complaining as when I'd sorted it all out what was delivered was worth about £30 more than I paid and I reckon I deserve it for the time, inconvenience and stress. And they also refunded the delivery charge for being late! Hey, ho. Angela |

I did use tesco a couple of times. Both times things were wrong with the order, though I have to say they sorted it out quickly. First time I got an immediate refund for what was missing, second time it was a large bag of potatoes I needed for tea that was missing. They said they'd sort it out and they were true to their word - half hour later there was a knock on the door. They'd sent one of the young lads from the store over in his car to drop off the missing potatoes (8 mile trip each way). I was well chuffed. I would have used them more but they didn't deliver regularly to my area at the time which was why I went to Asda. But the quality of service varies and you have to watch use by dates of food they give you with all of them as they use the home deliveries as a way of getting shot of stuff nearing the use by date in my experience. Hi Angela
Well you cheered me up - my wasn't that bad!!
The 2 times I've ordered once was for 9pm-11pm & he arrived at 8.58pm & today he was only 10 minutes into the alloted time!!
The only thing that they were out of stock with & had no alternative was..................
potatoes!!!
Is there a shortage?
Jill
Eggs was one of my missing items - perhaps they were too damaged |

Penny There are some things I'd be too scared to order on home delivery - a box of eggs is one of them. Another is ice cream! Angela |
