Don't worry. By my reckoning, twelve pounds is about 5kg. Now, 5kg. That's a much smaller number so nothing to worry about! And if I recall my mathematics classes correctly, when rounding numbers 0 - 5 get rounded down. (5.1 and over are rounded up) So in reality you haven;t actually put on any weight at all. Pete |

Bryan my hubby reckons he's barely put on any weight since we met and is always staggered by medical weigh ins. Have no idea who the portly gentleman sharing my bed is then! lol Daisy |

it was one of these 'posh' medicals, you start off by seeing a health care assistant, then a nurse, then three doctors, the whole thing lasts about two hours...but i have noticed, that over the years, the tube they give you to pee in,is getting smaller,i wonder if that has anything to do with health service cuts :o) bryan. |

Look I KNOW the scales tell porkies cos I,m certainly NOT the weight it tries to inflict on me. So dont believe any excess lbs in tries to tell you. Its lying just to make you have a hissy fit Shirley |

Bryan! Now I have many years of hospital experience and can assure you that the tubes used for these tests are exactly the same dimensions as those in previous years. Have you considered: 1. You eye sight if failingand the distance between your eyes and the tube is such that it seems that the tube is smaller. 2. You have put on so much weight that your gut is in the way and you can't see the bottle properly. Are we about to revive some of Ronnie Barker's best sketches? What from here? Pete |

Bryan, this thread has me giggling - I know the feeling of added weight only too well, I am putting the pounds on something chronic. Haven't forgotten your offer b.t.w. - have been a bit distracted this week with other things. Will be in touch soon if the offer still stands. Daisy - I know the feeling well. I bought him a great t shirt last summer - it says 'Does my belly look big in this?' Now he can't even get into it! |
