Have you ever done a name search on here to find an old schoolfriend? Not sure if it is the done thing, but I have just heard back from one of my clan from school and am quite chuffed (no longer subscribed to FR!)

oh I meant to ask, Allie, are you anywhere near Whippingham?

Well nowhere is that far on the Island! We are on the western side of the River Medina and Whippingham is on the East (spect you know this!) We are between Newport and Cowes. When we had a boat, we kept it near the Folly Inn at Whippingham. It's a lovely spot. Allie x

Shall have to go now as hubby is waiting to watch 'Medium' recorded last night. It's an excellent series - don't know why they put it on so late that we have to record it! These men just don't understand that we would rather be on here do they? Allie x

The only school friend I did a search for was a girl that died in 2002, only coz I wondered if anyone in her family was on here. I doubt many of my friends would be on here but some are on FR.

Julia, you should come over and have a look at them, as the church is really beautiful - think it was designed by Prince Albert! What were their names - many names in common on the island. Allie x
