Lindy - do you mind me asking if it works out cheaper for you. We have a 2-bedroom detached bungalow and there are 2 of us here.

The amount you pay for Staywarm is based on the type of property i.e. end of terrace, detached etc. how many people live in the house, how many bedrooms and whether or not you have a heated workshop/greenhouse attached to the building xxhugxx

Hi Anne - I googled Powergen Staywarm - all the details are there. I think you have to have your last gas and electric bills to hand when you 'phone them - it's freephone.

We have changed to staywarm very recently, the benefits of paying a set amount and being able to use as much as we need for the coming 12 months without penalties we felt was the best deal for us. xxhugxx

Has anyone out there changed over from British Gas to the Powergen Staywarm scheme where you pay a fixed sum per month for gas and electricity and are able to used as much as you like - a scheme for folk aged 60 and over. If so, was it financially beneficial please?
