Lucia, Have a look at the websites of other schools in your area and see if any of them offer the combination you want. Talk to the head of sixth form -or whatever your school equivalent is - and say you're considering changing schools to get the subjects you want. Send off for their prospectuses so you have some ammunition! You sound to me like a good student who they won't want to lose, so if they don't respond to that they don't deserve to keep you! What school worth its salt doesn't offer history in the sixth form??! Janice

I had to study my A-Levels at a new school, partly because they didn't do the courses I wanted to do and partly because I'd been bullied all my time there and wanted to get out!

Do any other schools or colleges do the subjects you want? It would mean leaving friends and teachers behind but if your not happy with what your studying you will not learn - and you will waste your time. Schools are limited to teaching the subjects that they have the staff to teach, students in theory can go where ever they like.

Next week I will have finished my preliminary exams and I'll have to start thinking about what courses I'm going to choose for next year. I'm disappointed with what the school offers. I want to study Advanced History, Advanced Modern Studies and Advanced German with Philosophy but school only offers Advanced German so I think I'll have to complain - rubbish school! lol I'm seriously annoyed at them not letting me study history - it's my favourite subject! :-)
