hi just wanted to have a moan. i went to visit my son in hospital yesterday (he is very poorly with glandular fever ) and while i was there i visited the ladies i had left my handbag on his bed while i went and when i came back it had gone missing. he had fallen asleep (partly the drugs and partly the illness) and hadnt heard anyone. he was in a room of his own. i reported it but unfortunately nothing much can be done. i have had to cancel all my cards and have my locks changed and cancel my mobile phone. my own fault i know but how low can some people go. thanks for letting me moan love linda x |

That is so disgusting - what kind of people are roaming about in our hospitals? I hope that you manage to stop everything so you don't lose any cash from your accounts. Maybe your bag will be found with some of the things in it still. Hope your lad gets better soon. |

what is suprising is that it wasnt even visiting time so there wasnt a lot of people around. the staff have been really good in letting me visit my son because i dont drive and there isn't a direct route to the hospital they have let me go when i can. there are locks on the ward doors and my sons door was open so the nurses could monitor him. whoever it was i hope there hands drop of !! thanks for letting me moan. love linda x x |

Sorry you were targetted this time Linda but have to say Hospital thefts have been a problem for a very longtime. Seems the same kind of people who are roaming about anywhere and everwhere as the Police would call them 'opitunists' :-( They have no respect for anyone or anything, The same opportunists watch for easy targets thats one of the reasons why the Churches over here are locked when there is no Service or Mass on, they steal from the poor box this has been happening a very long time, no regard for anyone else but themselves :-( Sad but true. Linda Have you reported it to the Police? Given its a 'locked' ward and it wasn't open visiting time I would have thought the field of 'suspects' would be fairly narrow. Hope your son is on the mend. Chris |

yes it has been reported but it seems the ward door had been left open by a porter who had taken a patient to theatre. no cctv so i guess i will just have to write it of. my son feels awful that he hadnt seen or heard anything and that is what makes me so mad. he doesnt need all this agro now. he needs quiet and rest. thanks linda x x cant sleep for thinking about it. |

Linda What bad luck.......Part of me wants to scream 'Sue them for the Porter's negligence' but the nice side of me says 'Well these things happen'.......Nice side wins :) You have done all the right things cancelling cards ect so you shouldn't find yourself out of pocket by the experience. I hope you will be able to reassure your boy that it wasn't his fault. Chris |

Some people really are the lowest of the low!! An old lady that comes to my shop in a mobility scooter has real trouble walking but our shop is not big enough to get round in one of those so she leaves it outside and struggles around. She cant carry a basket and puts things in a carrier bag and drags it round the shop floor. She once went to another shop first for a few things and left them on her scooter outside. Now who in their right mind would want to steal that bag from her scooter. The Ba...rds. Gloria |
