Hi to all, Just had a visit from JA, who's hubby has done a lovely job of the pictures he took of the Boat launching :) Tony - sounds like grandpa and grandma had more trauma than Britney! So glad she is ok this morning - how long does the 'toothpaste' work for? Thinking of you and John, Mary and a big (((HUG))) coming. A hot day today and going to get hotter I expect. Trying to keep a few plants alive using shower water but it is an uphill battle. off to cruise the boards. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Vonny |

Afternoon Wattlers and a special hug for all those not feeling the best. It's blasted hot here in Mudgee and this does not make for a happy Ice Princess, pmsl. Tony, ouch!!! Poor Britney, that must really hurt. Hope you had a nice birthday dinner, Duck. What'd you have? Just had contact with a distant cousin, so I'm off to do some more research. Bye for now HRH Dr Ice Princess |

Happy Sunday one and all, A lovely breeze has sprung up from some where to cool things down a bit. Mary, I hope John is feeling better and home soon. Lara, how are you, no don't turn sideways I can't see you. Hope Tiger is being a good boy. I know how you feel about Billy, we are the same with our Lucy, and now Sophie the cat. We are thinking of getting a campervan so that we can get a holiday. We normally have to find some where that we can take Lucy. Wouldn't consider an overseas trip, but a wedding, well that's different. Maybe you can get some one to live in, I think there are agencies that can arrange it for you. Our nieghbour has a great guy who moves in while you are away, he even does your washing and ironing for you. He is very much in demand. Merle hope today is a good day for you both, are you any where near the fires? Yvette, come back. You too Ducky. Trifley, How are you today, rest up for tomorrow and save room for a couple of Martoonies. Do you have any plans? Don't forget to take pickles of the har growth. Flakey, I think you should take a couple of weeks off before you get stuck into any jobs. You now have all the time you want. Laurie, hope that you are feeling better today. Well, going for a big cold drink, hope every one that I didn't mention is okay. Luv SuzyQ |

Hi everyone Lovely day here today and the sun is shining.. Saw the OH today and he is improving quickly.. I hope he will be home by next Wednesday as things are looking up healing wise..Still a bit of pain but gets painkillers to fix that..Hating the driving but cant help that..Physio is pleased with him and so is the Doc, Had some sad news from the daughter in Canberra today and nearly had a weep,, They had a beautiful big lovely Newfoundland dog who loved everyone and was as gentle as anything,,Last week he could not stand up and so they took him to the vet and he said he had a huge cancer of the bone in his hip and the only thing to do was put him out of his misery..He said take him home and spend a few days with him and then bring him back,,They all went and sat with him on the floor bawling their eyes out as the vet put him to sleep ..I think they only stopped crying yesterday,, he was one beautiful dog.. Trifle Hows the fog...Is it a London smoggy one or a good old blue mountains mist..Big hugs oh beautiful queen... Jood Are you home yet.. Tassie Hows the hangover from you days away...lol Sorry I haven't had much time to read back far so will try and do that later.. Jill Have a lovely trip.. Yvette Where are you.. Ducky Cuddle,,, Back later Love Mary xxxx |

Aaaaawwwwwww Mary - sorry to hear about the dog - got tears in my eyes thinking of the family's pain - been there with a German Shepherd back in Alice - still miss that dog and we've been in Canberra 14 years so must be 16 years or more. Glad John is going so well - let's hope he can go home on Wednesday to save you some travelling. Nice cool breeze blowing here but house is still warm. Daughter has her goods and chattels all packed for Dave to drive up to Cairns on Tuesday. Just emailed an estate agent about a rental property - hope she can get it - fully furnished and a pool near the CBD. Hard to believe she is finally leaving home - just bad luck it is sooooooooo far tho. Time for another meal so I'd better get to the kitchen Gwenda |

Don't worry Gwenda - they always return, sooner of later!! it is a long way away, though. First son left for Canada when he was 19 - and he didn't actually really come home till 4 years ago. Then he bought a wife with him and lived with us for 3 1/2 years!!!! LOL Oh Mary - how sad. We had to have our youngest son's dog put to sleep because of cancer, while he was away in Albury at Uni!! Sooooo hard. So glad John is better - just a rest from the pain would be helpful for him. Spent some time doing FH today, looking for elusive Welch's on shipping lists. There are LOTS of them :( I think I will have to stop FH till after our trip now - so much to organise. But I have a nice tidy, clear desk - I got all the paper work filed :) Hope you all had great days too. ~~~~~~~~~~~ Vonny |

Hello helloo heeelllooooo I just don't know how a family functions with only one puter. golly I've been missing this so much, and do you believe it, ' is dinner ready?' 'can we dish it up?' every time I finally get a 'go' I've given the eldest 2 a nice little talking to about independence and how I need some space (without them) I can hear one coming now. pretending I cant see or hear. just to say hi, love you all and can't wait for the guy to tell me whats wrong with silly 'pu' so that my life goes back to normal. so sorry that i've missed birthdays, end of treatment days, lotto, mudgee!!!!!. oh, and my mum lives at urana near lockhart ( not that we speak, but...) have some wine that needs drinking and family to feed lots of love from Yvette xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx |

Evening Wattlers Mary yes I have got over my hangover, well not that I had one, didnt have a lot to drink on Friday night as I was the drivewr on saturday and with a hire bus I try to be 000 limit, last night when we got home we did touch along the Jim Beam bottle as we had two staying with us befroe they went back to Burnie today, but no hang over, just had a quiet day today. Sounds like john is on the improve, bet you cant wait to get him home, he'll soon be chasing you round the kitchen table lol. Anna how did Kathryn go with the Woolies Job?? Has she heard yet? Tamika was told last night when David picked her up from work that she is going to be kept on at Kmart, which is great news, when she got the job it was only a definite for the Christmas break with it ending at end of Jan for some, not sure how many stayed, she said when she was told she hugged her manager. We actually know her away from work as her Mum was one of the women that went to Hobart with me, I shared to room with her as we are probably the closest of all the women. Tony hows Britneys foot today, sure sounded painful. I looked at todays paper and saw where we had a couple of Magpies visit the state yesterday, butter I was in the wrong end of state haa haa but they did have a few turn up had a pic with half a dozen kids and 2 players, Im sure there would have been more :-))))) Lara yes that is a decision not to be taken lightly when you have animals and you want to go away. My cousin has 2 King Charles Cavalier's and a West Highland Terrier and they are as apoilt as can be, they probably treat them better than thy did their kids, they have their own lounge room and they love to sit and watch Dr Harry, my cousin cooks all their food and when they do have to go away and leave them in a boarding home they take the food for them to eat, but always have trouble with the dogs when they come home as they are not used to being in a pen, and get stressed out easily. Needless to say they dont go away often only when it is unavoidable. Good to see you back Yvette, ~~~~~~ to Duck hope you had a great birthday. ((((hugs)))) to Trifley, hope to fog clears soon. Hello to all I havent mentioned |
