Good Morning Wattlers . . . Very special Birthday wishes to a very special Suzy Q - hope you have a wonderful day! . . xo An overcast day her on Botany Bay, very muggy so hopefully the clouds will let a little water out during the day to cool if off a bit. It is a very still day here, the water looks like a giant sheet of stainless steel . . the fish must be running over off the end of the runway, as there are heaps of small boats out there after the catch of the day. Only two giraffe heads stretching for the clouds, and every day the view to Port Botany changes as they are doing massive rebuilding over there . . . going to be heaps more giraffe I think - lots more platforms being built. Forgot to mention . . . on Sat we watched the emergency landing of the plane bound for USA that lost an engine and returned to Sydney . . . We heard about it on the radio so TLR sat there with binoculars . . . watchin . . . waiting . . . then we clapped when the pilot brought it down safely . . must have been scarey for the passengers (and the crew) . . Oh and the families that also heard it on the radio . . !! Looks like our Queen had a good birthday yesterday . . . but see she got that mothers disease that Tony was talking about the other day . . . 'Got to tell them kids 3 times to make it sink in' !! PMSL . . . seems to happen more often lately . . . you sit there write your reply. . . . click ADD MESSAGE . . . and nothing happens . . . click it again . . . nothing happens . . . and on and on . . . Now what happened in May to cause so many birthdays in February - hhhmmmmmmmm Vonny - all the while the dentist can make money out of that tooth it ain't going anywhere - you need my dentist who took all my molars out - thank goodness - now all he makes out of me is my 6 monthly check-up. Morning Gwenda Yes I can still vote on Monopoly. but yesterday they stopped you from seeing how the voting was going both, on the states individually and also overall. I only found out that overall the state with the most percentage of the votes gets the dearest spot on the board as in Mayfair. It doesnt worry me as long as Launceston comes in ahead of the southerners hee hee, yesterday we was about 5% ahead of the others :-)))))))) Very windy here today, but no rain, they are talking on bringing in water restrictions ............ yeah yeah I know a lot of you have been for ages, they have just put irrigation bans on the North Esk River, which is where we draw our residential water from, if levels go much further down then we will also get a restriction. ****** admendement****** I just went to monopoly site to vote for today and guess what ................... Hi Tassie, I voted yesterday arvo but for some reason I couldn't vote for all the States like I normally do so I must have missed some at some stage so when I tried later was when I got that Apache thingo - like you not happy Jan - wonder if Monopoly know what has happened. No other sites have been 'taken' over so why just that one. Hi Trifley, good to see you pop in if only briefly. Gwenda, I actually ran a member of parliment over her as he has been speaking up about us all voting for Launceston, and thought he might have a clue on what to do. He is in Canbera at the moment but the receptionist had a look and they can still get on the site with their computer, so it may be that they have some type of program that doesnt let the site be unaccesible, I havent found it effecting any of my other sites either. I did send an email to the Apache thing where it said if the page you wanted has not shown up (or words to that effect) probably wont hear anything though. But some good news I got a letter in the mail today from the dental clinic with my voucher, all I had to do was ring one of the dentists, so I did and have an appointment for 14th March, still 5 weeks tomorrow :-( but at least its in the books now. Vonny races off to vote for Launceston. Son ran out of Money - so he is on his way home now - but enjoyed his time in Tassie immensely. He did a lot of bushwalking and push bike riding apparently. He had borrowed a fourwheel drive and I think it used lots more petrol than he had anticipated :) Will be nice to have him home though - we always worry about that one! Vonny

Vonny hope your son had a good time over here, you will have to find out some of his highlights of his trip. Its a pity he ran out of money before he wanted too, petrol over here is also a bit dearer than on the mainland I believe, and out in the country areas it is worse. Hi everyone.. Just a short note to let you know that John is home this morning.. I got to the hospital early and when the doc. came in I said could John come home and he said yes if the pain was not to bad.This is a very painful operation and he has been having a lot of painkillers but he is now just on strong ones you can buy at the chemist so that is OK. I am so tired but it is good to have him home and to know that I dont have to drive over tomorrow...I am now just head cook and bottlewasher and driver for the next 2 weeks..AAAAARRRRHHHHH...... lara Any hints on survival in this situation.....as I am sure you have just been there..does a piece of 4x2 come in handy????lol SuzyQ Happy birthday beautiful one..Hope Neville got you a nice pressie....Are you keeping well??? Hi Wattlers, And thank you for all you birthday wishes and cards, and poem, thanks Tony. I am actually having a very quiet day, my choice. Lots of time on FH, no house work etc. We have a few busy days this week, so I just though it would be nice to relax. It must be really nice to have John home, I think you get well much quicke at home. Only sick people need to be in hospital. I must admit though, I am not a very good nurse. When Neville came out of hospital I was gratefull that he slept a lot. Its worse when they are almost back to normal but not quite. Tony, how are your grand daughters toes? Are you allowed to look after her again? Lara, how are you and tiger today? Flakey are you resting as recommended? Must go, Neville has made me a lovely long cold beer/shandy. hello all Sorry Trifley I missed your birthday day felt really crook think it was a bit of sun stroke 40c for three days running and I stayed indoors for the last two days and on Saturday the hoteest day we had no evaporative cooler its pump ent so we cooked all day and I went in the pool but was so hot out there has to come inside and swelter it was cruel , I was thinking birthday all day too as it was my Mums birthday. Anyway a bit late but with much love hope you had a very Happy Birthday .and all your Birthday Wishes come true Also Happy Birthday to SuzyQ WOW Birthdays all over the place havn't we I hope you got what you wished for Suzy too and had lovely day . We are all systems a go for Mudgee so we will be there Thursday night and we are staying at the van park near the golf course just to torture tiger and will see all that are staying there on Thursday evening Friday we should have a barbecue tea there Friday night for us who are staying there and whover wants to join us what do you all think that is of course if Lew has nothing planned ? Tony how's poor little grand-daughters toes it sounded so painful has she been back on the scooter again yet? I emailed Judy from the States and got an answer then she never got aback to me again, so don't like to email her again . If any one has any ideas I would be glad to try them .
