OOooooohhh Jude - you'll have a ball with the cheetahs - they haven't mauled anyone yet - course there is always a first - pmsl You only get to sit behind them to pat so that they would have to turn themselves right over to have a go at you. Dave and I did the behind the scenes tour for our 25th WA and that was fun - we didn't stay for the snakes - Dave's not a fan - lol Now apparently they include feeding the giraffes - they weren't there when we did our tour so will have to do another. Hope Ken's eye is okay - sounds nasty & very yucky. Hope your dad will be okay too. My Mum was off to the Repat today to have a specialist look at her leg - she's had an ulcer for over 12months if not longer and the treatment so far hasn't improved the situation - she's quite fed up to put it mildly. Not helped by the fact that she suffers with fluid retention. Will ring her later to see what happened. Don't think I'll bother growing old-er - nothing but a health hazard........... Had some success with FH this arvo - guess who's dreaded didn't get a look in - oh dear, so sad, too bad - it'll still be there tomorrow Gwenda |

Evening Wattlers Well we have got our books and everything all ready for school. Heather no they are going back to school at the same time as usual. Tassie is still on 3 terms, they only get a bit over a week at Easter, but some think it is as close as a term break. Tamika went to her dentist appointment and the news was not real good. She has a complaint which in one tooth has a disease that is eating away at the tooth, but on the inside, the dentist was going to drill insde and take out a the bad area and push in some medicated stuff and seal the tooth, this was to be done every 3 months till it was better, but after tests and an exray it was decided that the tooth nerve was dead and she needs a root canal. So now it will mean a dentist trip every 4 weeks starting on Tuesday :-( Judy DIY ooooh Im sooo jealous. Me being a Leo I love any type of big cat, and would swap places without hesitation, please give him a pat for me. Cheers Sue |

Morning Wattlers Jood I would love to have a look at the clip with the animals and children, need a lift at the moment. Lara yes I am like you and hate dentists, but Tamika did mention that the dentist wasnt too bad for an oldie, hee hee, he was probably only in his 30's, But I must admit if I was younger and had a dentist like him I might have gone more ....................... But then again probably not :-) The dentist was talking about this cream they put on gums before they administer the needle to deaden the area, there shouldnt be a lot of pain as the nerve to the tooth is already dead, but if they drill through the bottom of the tooth to the gum ......... Maybe the tooth may take away other worries at the moment. Well on a brighter note Hey Tony Im going to a clinic and bbq this afternoon, what type of clinic you ask???? A footy clinic :-)))))))))))))) ~~~~~ to all ~~~~~~~ Keep on smiling. Cheers Sue |

Morning Wattlers, Nearly 10 am where is everyone? Jood - would love the animals & kids email Gee I must be the only one who doesn't mind the dentist - lol - it's just the bill at the end - even with health insurance. When I was a kid the dentist would give me a lolly after my final visit - guess that was to make sure I had to go back - ppppp I also used to have most fillings without any needles cos I was more terrified of that than the drill hitting a nerve - now I don't get a choice. Lew - we'll be at the Pub on the Friday night too Hi Lara - nice to see you on here again - hope the patient is being kind to his nurse Mary - how is your patient too? Glad to hear John is improving - sounds like you won't need one of those 'lift' chairs now. My Mum goes back to Repat next week for more tests but has new procedures the nurse has to follow so lets hope this will help clear the problem once and for all. Off to get the washing going Have a great day, catch up later Gwenda ~~~~~~~ |

Good morning Wattlers Firstly happy birthday to Ken (hope the black eye Jude gave you is getting better). . . what a good pressie Canberra Zoo. I just love Taman Safari in the hills behind Jakarta . . . have hugged baby orang-utan and tigers and got to pat the hippo too! Not as clean as our zoos, but it is getting better . . . much improved since our first visit. eice in Canberra's OH used to do some work out at the zoo and we went there with them once . . . but that was before they had as many animals as they do now. The caretakers house there is amazing. Not a good start to the day . . . felt like I had sneezed all night . . . at least sneezing is better than the sinus pain, so should be grateful I had to deal with the lessor of the two evils. A funny sort of day on Botany Bay . . . bit of high cloud around, making it very hazy. There are 7 giraffe necks stretched high, two tugs are just on their way back in from escorting a 'block of flats' out of the heads (probably mostly empty ones - given the lopsided balance of trade in Aussie) and there is a good scattering of small boats out looking for the catch of the day. We had a terrific electrical storm out in front of us last night . . a fair amount of wind too - which blew the rain away I think as not much landed here. Heres hopeing they got some over the catchment areas. Ith Printheth has just phoned to say she has lost her puter connection AGAIN !!! Not a happy little vegemite. Cable man says he will be out this afternoon to fix it, so fingers crossed. We were just discussing how we think the fellas put a hex on us when they go away so we dont enjoy the peace and quiet . . . First her puter . . then Lew had to take Mu the cat to the vet yesterday . . . (he's all better now). Tez it would appear is enjoying himself . . . of course Lew had to sms him the cricket results all thru the NZ v UK match the other night. We have the Pajero with the back/back seat too if we are having a convoy to the wine tour next Sunday . . . so between us we will cut down on the size of the convoy . . . Not a worry !! Where are you Flakey one ??? How are things going for your mum ??? Sending down hugs and positive thoughts xoxo Gwenda, hope Dave has reached his destination . . . long drive on your own . . . and in the heat and possible storms. But at least he is in a good state . . . teeeeheee ! Gee, one would expect that mums leg to improve over that period of time . . . does she walk much or exercise her legs to improve the circulation?? Can understand her being fed up. A new day Mary, and how is the man-patient today ?? Bless 'em they really are a strange animal when they get that tag patient aren't they. Take care girl . . . I'm not saying anything about root canal either Vonny . . . except I think they should change the name of it to dentists money tree !!! Says she who trembles at the sound of the word dentist. Hi Leah . . . dont forget to send us on the new addy . . . nice to see you pop in. Glad John enjoyed his birthday . . . we actually toasted him last night Mary, with a very fine drop of Annies Lane Cab Merlot . . Lara how sad about Carol, such a terrible disease - and so young. I feel like I know the Smedley family. Another load to take down to the clothes line . . . yeah the dryer . . . the one I thought we had fixed . . . nearly went up in smoke . . . teeheee . . . guess what we are doing on Saturday morning !!! Will be around most of the day so will catch up later on what your all up to . . . and await the return of the Printheth . . . luv Laurie xo |

Exactly Jood . . teehee . . . why have a dog and bark yourself . . . (and I deny haviing said that - someone else slipped in and wrote it) Can't fit in my little car standing up . . . fit in the Pajero easy . . . Besides, have to give the poor TLR something to do and make him suffer the pain of spending money (refuse to add that the dryer is only 18months old - was working really well . . . till I decided to take the back off to clean it out ) Why you in a Tizz about Mudgee . . . I'm excited !! All that good company !! You realise dont you that Lew is going to have us out watering olive trees and doing her chores for her dont you ??? I think you, Flakes, TLR & I are going to be her lackeys for the weekend so guess I should pack the dugerees . . . (in her dreams teeheeee) Come on girl get with the program . . . get excited !! luv Laurie |
