Good morning Wattlers, Very overcast day here again today, we had a very windy couple of hours last night - had to rescue things off the balcoonie - but unlike those up north the temp here has been very comfortable. Ducks was telling me last night that it was dead calm and steamy hot up on Bribie, not even a whisper of a sea breeze. Looking out over the bay this morning there is lots of grey, almost black over at Port Botany. Only three giraffe with stretched necks. Just watched a container ship come in - the tugs bring them on in from the heads, then as they get to the canal into the actual port, they do a 180 degree turn and dock in the port backwards. From here it looks like they do their turn in a small space, but I know from different vantage points thats not the case - they really have heaps of room. zO ynoT gninrom dooG. . . Poor Sarah, you do realise you and Barb have scared her for life now dont you . . . she will never get her head around the fact that you and Barb were once teenagers . . . let alone had boyfriends and girlfriends . . . not till she is at least into her 40's . . . LOL Init great to see the Queen up and about . . . and by my calculations a few days ahead of schedule. Look out Mudgee . . . !!! And Ducky, I hope you know that we all feel so much better to wake and see you have left a message - even if we missed it the night before! So keep em coming girl . . . when they aren't there there are a lot of worried Wattlers. Wash your mouth out Vonny . . . tis not 'old age' !!!!! Tis excitement !!!! Lets face it girl, you have heaps to be excited about . . . your mind must be so full with all your plans . . how is John going with the boat preparation, guess he is getting anxious to get all the last bits done. Hope he is able to relax this weekend. Good morning Jood . . . hope your getting back to normal after your big holidays. Well I am heading west later on this morning . . . going to go take TLR to lunch, and then hopefully grab a cuppa with Shaz. So I best get my act together and get some jobs done before I go. Hope you all have a wonderful day . . . and guess what . . . IT's FRIDAY !!!! (7 sleeps till I go to Mudgee) luv Laurie

G'Day Wattlers, I’m in the office at last supposed to be paying the bills but I’ll just take a moment to catch up here. Vonny, thank you, I think I’m all signed up for the weekender and it’s very daunting to me, everyone has little moving piccy’s and fancy stuff, I’ll just read for a while till I test out how to post ( think I need the guidance of a 15 yr old lol) Your boat looks magnificent too! Flakey, lots of healing vibes to your Mum, her op sounded pretty painful what a lot to deal with, will she gradually lose the stick, or have it forever now? My Mum used a stick at the end of her life, she liked it. She also said she got plenty of help when she was down the street using it. Are those the white coats with the long sleeves that tie up in front Tony? Lol Had a giggle about Sarah, it’s hard to imagine your parents early lives isn’t it? We had one of “those” moments this week. OH is wiring up new stereo system and old TV into new speakers, and learning to use one of these new beaut remote controls that does for all the equipment. Well suddenly despite the fact that there was some naval destroyer picture on the TV, the sound was coming from a different channel and was a rather graphic description of lovemaking – well, I curiously came out of the kitchen, ‘cos DD15 was at the computer in the lounge with her father, and she was in hysterical laughter and shock, and OH was frantically trying to change the channel – but it took ages, he was so red in the face by the time he hit the right button!! Brought tears to my eyes, I could barely move. Heaven knows what Austar channel it was, I daren’t check the program but I hasten to add that we do not subscribe to the late night stuff, perhaps it was an anatomy or health thing, anyway, it got our attention LOL. OK, back to work. This time next week lots of you will be on the road to Mudgee….. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ to all, Hz

TonyOz Report 9 Feb 2007 01:17

Hi Hz. Yes, we have the same here with Sarah. Got to keep changeing the channels on the Tele. Since she started High school last year we have noticed a larger contingency and gathering of male speices in the street, and the familiar smell of high testosterone levels. ( according to my male meter reader ) Also notice longer times spent in her ensuite, and the smell of cologne. ( he says..... cleaning out the barrel of his shot gun ). Tony Oz....:>))) singing: They say dont go on wolverton mountain If youre looking for a wife cause clifton clowers has a pretty young daughter Hes mighty handy with a gun and a knife.......:>)))

Wattlers , Good Morning, Good Morning - hope the day brings lots of joy for you! Thank you for remembering us Jood lol.You are loverly. Lew - yes for us for Friday night, and Saturday and Sunday. Although think I have been working too hard, I keep confusing Ken by telling him we are going to the pub in Dubbo on Friday night - goodness talk about CRAFT! Apparently I have been saying this all week and he wasn't game to ask why (apparently I have been 'grumpy' all week) if we were going to be staying in Mudgee why were we going all the way to Dubbo for a pub meal friday night - the car isn't a b****y jet woman! -pmsl. Must be the week for bunged up sinuses Loz - have had a sinus headache all week that I just can't shift - its a butter of a thing. Haven't had a bad attack for years. Can't figure out why now? Had a visit to the Hairdressers on Tuesday - was due to go, however what prompted me was the fact that Ken said I looked old , washed out, tired and looked like a bag lady - my reply 'yeah I love you too hon'! He was meeting me last Friday night to do the shopping and he said when he was looking around for me - he didn't recognise me. Sheesh 6.00am starts and 7.00pm finishes for week will do that to a girl - back me up here girls. So the blond locks are gone and you will just have to wait and see the 'new look' next week. Ken also said 'you really need to wear tyre black' - huh? The dear man says women nicely dressed, with make up should really wear lipstick - he said its like a nicely washed/polished and vacuumed car without 'tyre black' - you just gotta love him! Have to go - phone has started driving me nuts again, pop back later xx jude

*Vonny frantically checks her purse for tyre black* LOL Tony - don't you know that the parents of teenages don't exist with bodies? Remember scandalizing ours when we changed drivers on a long journey and stopped to kiss in front of the car headlights. They were mortified!! Daughter says her hubby is already oiling his gun and the grands are only, not yet 2 years and 4 mths respectively. Hz - don't worry about all the fancy toys to play with, you'll get used to it. One thing at a time. Will try your trip calculator - thanks Lew. Looks like 5 - 6 hour trip for us. I think we will travel the same way as you from Bathurst, Tony. back to the H.........K Vonny

Anna Report 9 Feb 2007 02:14

Afternoon guys Well - the realization is starting to set in. It's Mudgee in less than a week! Have to start packing the essentials - coffee, vino and chocolate! Jude - I'd kill him - absolutely no question about it. I think it's time for a withdrawal of privileges - washing, ironing, meals - whatever! See how tired he looks after he's done it all. Guys - next Sat week, the 17th - Mudgee night - is a big Lotto night I believe. Do you want me to buy extra tickets with the $55 I have been keeping from our last win? I could buy early next week and e-mail to Tony to send out before we all hit the road. Mary - glad to hear John is doing so well. Vonny - when are you getting to Mudgee and where are you staying? I know Lara and Tiger, Fluff and I are staying at the van park and I thought you said you were going to book there as well. Where's everyone else staying. I know there's a contingent at the Country Comfort Motel and of course the 'chez Lew' lot. There's going to be quite a few of us to paint the town red. (Makes mental note to pack the feather boa and the bling!) Cheers my lovelies Anna

Back again Anna - had to be nice to him, after he nearly knocked his eye out and then it was his berfdy.lol. Boa's and bling! No one said it was a formal do. Ken and I are at the Mudgee Tourist and Van Park as well - booked a cabin - first thing I asked was 'does it have aircon'? -Ken said did you ask what we had to take - ooops had to ring back, I just wanted to make sure I was going to be cool -pmsl. We arriving in our 'jet' car, at ? pm (depends on the navigator (moi) and whether Ken does the majority of the driving - lol). Gotta go to the post office -back ron jude

Anna - planing to stay at the same Van park UNLESS himself wants to be at the one by the river. Not sure if we will stay in a cabin or not - will bring a tent just in case. I haven't booked (cause we can always tent) and I'm not sure where we will decide. Planning to get there for lunch on Sat if all goes well. Did you peeps know that it is Market Day in the Catholic Church grounds - 3rd Saturday in the month - apparently everyone brings in their stuff to sell and there is produce tasting too. Could be fun Sat morning. Lew - I tried your addy for the route and it took me to a different url. I tried this one: www.travelmate*com.au/MapMaker/MapMaker.asp (change*) and it took me to your one!! go figure *shrugs shoulders*

Lol Vonny, ikwym. Now take care you lot navigating. The other night on Top Gear (UK motoring show) they had someone write in about new fangled gizmo supposed to navigate in her car, she had to go from northern UK to south so asked for a route to avoid London and also avoid going on one of the very big motorways which crosses the country east-west. So the navigating computer did her a route west to Ireland ferry to Spain, back up through France and back over the Channel to Dover - well, it accurately avoided London and the M15 or whatever lol !!! Pretty much avoided all of England in fact ! Hz
