Hi everyone..I am here... Been a bit busy and thought I had added lately but the days seem to slip by.. Oh is doing really well and the improvements are so good and we cant believe it..Doctor said no promises and it was a case of pot luck with any improvements so we cant believe our luck..Cant wait to get back to the doc to show him,, He will be amazed I think.. Went to water jerks the other day and my glasses just vanished off the table I had put them on..Everyone searched the pool and surrounds and nothing.. The table was in full view all the time we were in the pool and nobody came or went.. Thank goodness I have my old ones still as I would not be able to drive and as John cant drive for 2 weeks we would have been up in poop alley without a paddle.. Was hoping that someone may have thought they were theirs and put them in their bag but they all said they didn't have them so a mystery.. and another couple of hundred for the optometrist. for a new pair. It was good to have a win on lotto and I think we should add it to next sat. and really do a big one.. Must go and take Johns dressings off so that he can shower so see ya all later Love ya,, Mary xxxxxxxxxx |

Hi Mary. Glad to hear John is on the improvement. He must have a great nurse looking after him. Best wishes. Hi SusyQ. Glad to have been a little help to your friend in Spain. Always nice to hear back if the info was some help. Yes, sometimes it pays to make a bit of noise ( council ) but iv'e had a few run ins with them before, over Barb's Hairdressing salon. ( customer parking ) The letters are computer generated i would say, as a few of the neighbours got them also. What gets me blood pressure up, is its one law fer them, and another law fer us. I really dont mind trimming the Gums if they could be a danger to passer by's. But i also am a stickler for: Look in your own backyard first, before you tell others about do's and dont's. Been thinking about starting my own Web site for Ozzie pubs ( with Pictures and past publicans ) It was an idea that a friend in the U.K started, and helped me tremendously back in the early days of Internet and Genealogy. His name was Ian 'Pubby' Hunter.( now deceased ) 'Essex Pubs'. He created a Web site on the Net dedicated to Geno's who had publican ancestors. A fantastic bloke, who would bend over backwards to help people find there relos. My Great grandad and Grandad are listed on his site,'' Bird in Hand'' Earls Colne, Essex.......... along with a few G,Great uncles of mine who ran pubs and beer houses. 25 Publicans in my tree...but what else would i expect...lol ( time for a V.B ) me thinks His Web site is still running and looked after by others now. Lots of Info for Pubs, Inns & Taverns, London..Middlesex...Herts..and Kent also.and in general, if any Wattlers had Publicans in there families. http://pubsgen(.)com/indexIan.shtml Tony Oz....:>)) |

Afternoon Wattlers Had a quiet couple of days, doing not much of anything. OH is trying to paint the roof in between rain and wind. We had rain yesterday and strong wind all night, today we have had a couple of showers but its fine now. Tony loved the letter, I agree with the others it wont do any harm sending it, and who knows it just might get something done. Sssshhhh its nearly footy season,( cant say it tooo loud as you know some will start moaning and say here we go again, hee hee) had a look at my guys the other day, dont look half bad neither, oh and they were playing pretty good too so look out :-)))))) Gee another win very good, hopefully we will win something big next weekend, better pack bags incase, mmm but then again maybe not it might be a bad omen, so I will wait till we win then hang the packing, I will buy new clothes in Mudgee. Mary glad John is improving, fingers crossed it keeps going that way and boy the doc will be surprised when he visits next. Cheers Sue |

Hi folks. So long since I've posted here, I feel like a newbie all over again. Glad to see the good cheer is still being spread around. No rain AGAIN (or should that be,'still') in Perth...just end-to-end summer. |

poo poo to you cat, i was being nice and not going for the throat with my first real day back and nine to go bla bla bla. forgot all about the numbers util i showed my son all the nifty Australian tips from the Earl of Ozex. He fancies that he mght apply for a job doing f/h at the local library, he reckons he's experienced cause of all the stuff he's ''helped'' me do. yeah right , that will look good on the job application. 'i've got at least 6 convicts that are blood relatives in direct line to myself, my mum is a gypsy and i've helped her out extensively with her brickwalls when i'm not playng cricket or footy' . he does address the academic essential criteria , more is the pity. can you tell that i'm green with the thought of him being able to apply for the job. So tony, do you come across smitham bottom, ingatestone and hooley in your essex trail. the lion /red lion inn? don't have publicans in my family but some from essex. off to the cricket, bye for a bit, love Yvette x |

Hello Bev - my we are getting lots of visitors from that OTHER thread - and I was even privileged to get some pickles from Jilly - I sent her into giggles because I called her Pam instead of Jilly. No idea why! My/Our publican was in 1866 around the Wangaratta/ Chiltern/ Oxley area, that's when he wasn't in court for some minor disdemeanour lol Jood |

Good Afternoon all - well we have been swamped here with the ongoing rain - every time I get a rello visit from the UK you can guarantee it will pour down. We have filled our rainwater tank, a garbage bin, 3 buckets, the wheelbarrow and various other water holding containers!! Anyone would think we were in the middle of a drought. And I moved the car out into the rain for a real good wash!! It hasn't been this clean in ages.... Looking forward to seeing all the lovely Wattlers up at Mudgee next weekend. Am now on a month's leave from work, but will be out and about doing the tourist guide thing with dear brother in law.(aka The Rain God) Must dash as off to Lebanese Restaurant at Punchbowl with family. See you soon Lyn |

A VERY cautiously optamistic Trifley wanders onto thread carrying lap top.........boiled in RINSO and soaked in Detol. After another (yes, this is the 6th spy check programme) go at the guts of the bl***y lap-top, I think we might, maybe, perhaps (fingers XXX'd) have got rid of the problem. I'm still not game to email anyone for a while in case the little bleeder is still hiding somewhere. Someone.....think it might have been SuzyQ???....also has a problem. The last programme I downloaded was AVG Anti-spyware. Go to Grisoft and click on the spyware one....NOT the virus one. They are diferent. Mary.....when are you and John going out dancing.....heee heee Anyone heard how Merle and Himself are lately? What about Ipswich Jillaroo.....any word or is she having too much fun? Big ~~~~~waves and happy thoughts to everyone Hugz Trifley X |

G'day Wattlers So nice to have you back in full swing Yvette xo Another interesting day for us!. Received an email from Lyn earlier today, in which she mentioned all the rain she had been getting . . . we had nothing at the time. Then heard that there was big storms out at Campbelltown on the radio! So, TLR thought he should go for a drive to Campbelltown and check out the Warehouse. When we got out there - there were signs out side to tell us they had received a good swamping, debris caught up high in fence etc, and when we got inside - there are leaks a plenty . . . we had to move stock to get it high and dry. There was another great downpour while we were there, and the water course between the Warehouse and the car park overflowedfor about 30 mins - but then it settled down. They are going to have some major leaks fixed this week. Then we did another little tour . . . ended up in Norton Street, Leichardt - checked out a few interesting shops and found a good coffee shop . . The Queen has edumuckated me well !!! Which leads me to think . . uuummm best get Ith Pritheth to check out the coffee shops in Mudgee and warn them to brush up on their technique of making large Caramel Latte with an extra shot of coffee . . . just like the queen likes it !! The Queen must have her coffee the way she likes it!!! We have just watched a storm come across the Bay from Cronulla . . . but it skimmed past us! I dont care . . . only ends up in the drink from here . . . best if it falls in the catchment area. TLR & I have made up some chicken kebabs to throw on the barbie for dinner tonight . . lets hope the weather holds off for us . . . I dont want to cook in the kitchen. Fingers crossed for our cricketers tonight . . be a pity to not have the final game in Adelaide. What about OOwwaarrhh's last delivery . . . fairytale stuff!! Sending positive healing thoughts to all those not feeling the best Catchya's later luv Laurie xoxo |

Lucky, lucky peeps with your rain (deeply envious sigh). We were supposed to get some today...now told 'a chance of showers of Thursday'. Right! Oh well, OH and son #1 don't have an excuse any more...the rest of the pergola is at least going up as I type. Laurie...how about puffing some of that excess damp Westwards? Trifely....I can donate some Napisan to your brew if you like. Supposed to be the Ultimate in sanitation. Failing that, a call to the Queen of Clean is guaranteed to bring results. Merle...I've not been around much...hardly surprising you haven't registered my presence. Sorry about your black Dog...know all about HIM. Can I lend you a collar and muzzle? ~~~~~~~Jood . Hi to Wattlers I haven't met before |

Of course we won't give up on you Merle, we are here for you - anytime. Yes Flutterbye is from Perth - she hasn't been in touch with us for a long while. Now you just climb outa that black hole, and I'd suggest you didn't fall backwards any more on the steps doing your egg sir sizes - it doesn't pay. tee hee I see WA is dryzabone over there - not here in NSW - its been falling heavily in quite a few places. I was in Perth over Xmas Bev, and I know just how dry it is. We even went up to Toodyay which has since had fires. Jood |
