Dreekie are you talking AFL?? Just when you said the 31st it confused me a bit, but thats not hard. The Pies and Kangaroos actually play tomorrow night, But its at the new 2nd home of the Kangaroos and hate to say it Tony but David is a Kanga supporter, he thinks he has a good chance :-0 Just went outside to see what it is like, and it sounds busy over at the race course, can see a couple of horses going about but also sounds like they are mowing the lawn, and probably getting everything spruced up, it has been a hive of activity over the last couple of days as it is our big race on Wednesday, the Launceston Cup. Cheers Sue

Morning Jood & fellow Wattlers (that includes you Dreekie), Vonny - hope you didn't catch your death dancing out in the rain last night - did you get the storm with it or just rain - our power kept going off and on - interrupting my tape watching - Mudgee eat your heart out - the thunder and lightning was as good if not better than what we saw at the weekend - just glad we weren't out driving in it. Still thinking about going for a walk this morning but it could be a case of 'Without a Trace' - we have fog and it's not got any better in the hour and a bit that I've been up. Maybe some h/w exercise will be the order of the day instead. Thanks to all for the piccles - getting quite a full album. Better get doing something so catch y'all later Have a great day (((((hugs))))) & ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Gwenda

Just heard a news report of a fire 10kms west of Cradle Mountain Village, they are ready to evacuate people if it gets any worse. Fingers crossed that it doesnt get too close to Cradle Mountain, it would be a big loss of beautiful scenery if fire got in there, so fingers crossed. Got to go shopping now. Cheers Sue

Pictures are great, lots of happy MM memories. Am piling all the camping gear into the loungeroom and my office and....................... I don't think we will have enough space in the car! catch you later ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Vonny PS - my membership is due soon, what are they charging us does anyone know? there is a thread on general and seems that there are two charging rates.

Good morning Wattlers A hot one in the making here today, very muggy indeed !! Botany Bay looks fantabulous . . . 2 ships on the move, one coming in the other heading out, lots of little boats out fishing, heaps of people on the sand already, and a generous scattering of sail board riders up in the cove near the airport. 3 giraffe heads reaching for the sunny sky . . and a very busy airport. While we were on the balcoonie last night, (TLR was mid way thru cooking dinner) a young hoon came roaring around the corner from Bay Street . . slid and skidded along sideways and came kerthump into a pole down in front of us. The two in the car got out and walked around so no injuries . . . but the car a bit sick. We phoned the police . . . but they still haven't shown up !! The car got loaded onto a flat top truck and went off so I guess the young lad will be back on the road as soon as the car is fixed. Darn lucky there were no pedestrians walking along that stretch of pavement. Ah Vonny . . . getting close now . . . what is the plan ?? I take it your driving to the start point and leaving the car there till you make your way back. Can you share your plans ?? We were the last to leave Mudgee by the way . . . we had a lovely lunch on Monday with the gorgeous neice, Colleen and her little baby pink smurf Sarah, The Queen, the consort, the Ith Printheth and the Flakes. We went to the Fish in the Bush restraunt, very nice it was too. The Printheth and the Flakey left to go to Sydney, and the rest of us got kicked out . . . On Tuesday morning we headed west, went out and found the cemetery in the old town of Cobbera, not much left in the way of headstones so dinny find the rellies, but it was interesting . . the cemetery has recently been cleared between the graves, but most of the graves have thick scrub on them. The old school house has been turned into a most beautiful home. Twas nice to find where the town was anyway. We spent a few hours in the museum at Gulgong - those of us that got to spend time there are very lucky . . . it is a terrific museum, so well set out, and so much 'stuff' (found reference to some rellies . . and a pickle). Got to be the best country museum I have ever been in. We ended up going back thru Mudgee at about 5pm, and drove back to Sydney. Two loads of linen to take down stairs to the lines so will drop in later with a cuppa luv Laurie
