According to my radar Map, Lew should be getting some heavy rain, but it might just be the town of Mudgee. Laurie would be getting a bit too. JA, Glenda & Vonny are copping it too. The blue mountains had a storm earlier this afternoon, some rain fell, but not exorbitant amounts. Sorry Mary :(( - you should be getting SOME rain tho. Jood

Good grief - I come on here and everyone is talking about dancing nekkid! Now - that may be OK for Mudgee but let's have some decorum elsewhere! Hello Dreekie - have I got that right? You sort of slipped in whilst I was away at Mudgee, so welcome - Tony could do with some male moral support. We do give him a hard time. Girls - we went walking out of town with our bush walking group today and stopped for coffee at a place called The Danish Flower Shop. Ooooooh - I wish you could see it. It is a veritable Aladin's cave with all sorts of absolutely gorgeous arty crafty things - more beads than I've ever seen Trifley. And dried flowers and all manner of bit and pieces and it smells divine and there is lovely relaxing music and the coffee is to die for. Anyone want a Toowoomba mini meet? I know a good place to go! Evening.....:>)) Off to a pub in South melbin to-night to celebrate sisters 60th birthday. For her birfdy pressie i wrapped up a 1947 penny in gift wrap paper. Its the one i owed her from 50 years ago, when i borrowed a penny of her to buy a few chocolate clinkers one day. In side there is a card written: The penny i owed you, so go out and have a splurge on me.....:>)))))))))))))) We havent unpacked from the Mudgee meet, as we are off to the Gold Coast in 2 weeks time with the daughters and grandkids. More holidays....Aaahhhhh, someones got to do it. Been having a few problems getting onto the Wattle thread lately, and last night after clicking on the thread it took over 4 minutes trying to download ( and i have Cable internet )..then i got a message from GR. ' The thread you are trying to access has timed out* sorry try again later. Had this twice now, and wondering if the 20 odd thousand posts are starting to strain the elastic bands on GR system. Anyone else having probs...?? Laurie. Barb and i called into that museum at Gulgong, and such a fantastic display of Pioneer History. We had a conversation with a bloke at the desk, who explained to us about Gulgong and its people of the past. It was very interesting, and we found a few classic items from our era. Never thought i would find items in a museum from my own era.......:>(((((( Kinda makes me feel antique....LOL But as you say, i also have never seen such a bigger display of bygone history anywhere. Tonight we have a challenge at home, DD15 will be auditioning at school tomorrow for a drama department play, she made the shortlist of 15 for 8 roles ( Years 10 and 11 together), they have to prepare a given piece and research a synopsis of the play and its’ characters for the interview. She’s really rapt to be given a chance because she’s not in the Drama elective. It’s a Tom Stoppard play so she’s googling and getting plenty of information. Why does No one listen to me!!! You can have as much rain/water as you want from Yorkshire as it's been chunking it down (Being polite Ladie) lols since last night. A bit of flooding in Leeds as usual, I live at the top of a hill so I'm ok! Lookup offer's I go to my local LDS centre every Tuesday, they have GRO's etc for England, Scotland Wales and Ireland, if anyone wants help etc let me know. Hi Wattlers I'm in Ross-on-Wye beautiful countryside but pouring with rain. Ireland was special found out so much about my Dad's family and have phone number to ring a possible cousin.
