Helloo all, It's clearing up here today, so you coastal peeps should get the washing dry on the weekend perhaps. Anna, I missed DD15's choir singing at Eisteddfod yesterday, they were in 3 sections and got two firsts and a second ! Tonight is the school Music Festival though, so we get to hear all the orchestras and choirs and as many individuals they can persuade to do a piece, must go early to get a seat it's a popular event. Oh Tony, ROFLMAO about you embarrassing moment !!! How gorgeous !! I can't remember any wardrobe malfuntions, but I do know how embarrassed I was once after a fancy dress party in the UK (Vicars and Tarts - very 70's lol) where lots of us slept over and as I awoke I heard a discussion about how someone had snored all night and they didn't get any sleep, they worked out it was the girl with the Aussie accent ( me), so I pretended to be asleep for a bit longer until they had left the room!! Being young I was mortified!! I still snore sometimes, but have had my sinuses done so it has cleared up a lot. Re Food these days, I'm with Tony, this is why we redid our veggie patch bigger and better after the storm last year, every little bit of homegrown helps, and having a great variety helps. It was interesting to see the fishing families in Sydney have their dioxins checked out the other week, terribly high results, but most of us don't get to eat as much seafood and all from the same place. I love our farmers markets here in Albury, great chance to get fresh organically grown produce. Lara lol, I did the same with the spag bol sauce the other night, I was in a hurry and it was too lumpy for fussypants, so I got out the kitchen wand and spread it all around, serves me right for being in a hurry ! We got our census paper during the week but I haven't looked at them yet, being too busy doing a science project involving fishing line and weights and a stopwatch, had a hilarious time the three of us trying to time a pendulum swinging - anyway the graph ended up ok so it's handed in today. Parsnip yum yum, we like ours baked with garlic in the oil, then towards the end splash with some balsamic vinegar, had this last night with small pork roast. Jillaroo, take heart that your dear grandson is OK when he's with you. I sincerely believe schools are not the best place for some kids, and they'll be watching him like a hawk, he'll feel that too. Some kids need one on one attention for a while to get their confidence up and to learn socially appropriate skills. Also other kids can sometimes be awful and they do pick on anyone vulnerable and/or different, despite best intentions of the school. So sorry you're sad about your Mum too, hope you get a quiet chance to remember her in some way. Tomorrow will be a better day ((hugs)). Better go and pay some bills now, what a nice visit I've just had with you all, Shaz glad you're better, waves to all (too numerous to mention and I'll leave unintentionally!) ~~~~~~~ Hz in Albury ~~~~~~~~ PS. Now how does one casually add the word 'merkin' into conversation ....... LOL

Just me again, The merkin story brought another funny story to mind. My dad had a snooker table and a couple of nights a week his mates came round. One night they got to talking about one of the local young men. Now to get this right I must tell you that my dad is almost deaf. One male mentioned that this fellow had what my dad thought was a hairpiece, and he went on to say there was nothing wrong with that, lots of people had them. What they actually said was that this young man had herpes. You can imagine the laughter over the snooker table that night. SuzyQ

Good Afternoon Wattlers, Wet,Wet, Wet in the Gong today but who's complaining, daughter and Grandaughter have just left, she brings us fresh manure from her little farm as we call it for the garden so the rain will wash it in. Seemed to have missed something about missing numbers??? Joodle Leah lives in Goulburn. had to laugh about your embarrassing moments........ One that comes to mind with me... son was about 7 or 8 played indoor soccer as well as outdoor. He was a very windy kid ( you know what I mean) Anyhow he was standing next to me and let a howler go and then walked away, the next second a father walked up to speak to me and the smelll left behind>>>> the father must have thought it was me... was my face red or what... The same child was away on a school camp and recieved a certificate for 'Adding Atmesphere to the trip'' Haven't recieved our census forms yet in our area. Mary hope John is ok re his legs not long now. Hope all the unwell people are feeling better Cheers Sandra in the Gong.

Anna and Heather - you must be so proud of your DD's the only music our boys make is clattering up and down the stairs.lol. Kirsty used to play the flute - but now she just plays CD's very loud. Mary hope the Doc can do something for John, not long now til you move, hope you can still make it for lunch at the casino. Glad you are feeling better Shazz - can't have you missing the meet. My mum has diverticulitis (sp) its a b****r of a thing. Hope your tummy problem isn't that. Oooo Sheila a another new arrival - congratulations -good weight, (made me wince a bit) , thats the second birth this week, was there something in the air around oct/nov last year? Just so long as its not catching. Eldest leaves London today bound for Mauritius, 2 nights stay there and finally home next Tuesday 9.00am. Going to pick him up at the airport - but because of peak hour traffic I'm going to have to leave at 6.30am - to get there ugghhh. Well he is worth it, and I have missed him the last 6 weeks. Have to laugh just had a call from my Mum (80) & D (84) - dad asked if I was coming to see them this weekend . I said no wasn't planning on it (they live the other side of Melbourne) and Dad says good. Huh! I was starting to get the huff - when he said we are just drving up to Echuca for the weekend so we won't be home. You can imagine the thoughts rushing through my head - Dad - car -road - Echuca - 84yrs old - omg - noooooo - whew -then he told someone else was driving - talk about relief. Why are going to Echuca I asked - oh to play bowls. Tried to get them to move out to a retirment village or a unit nearer to us - the answer- 'we like our independence' and plus we would have to join a new bowling club and we like the one we are at. They both play bowls as many days as they can, plus dad still has a huge vege garden. Must be a good gene pool I've got - all those ag labs have paid off -lol. Well I'm off to battle with the queue at the bank - I'll pop back later ~~~~~~~~~ to everyone jude 3

Loved your long newsy msgs, Jude3 & Tonybabes, Makes my life very dull in comparison! Winter is back today - lots of rain and cold - at 1/4 to 4 I have the light on and heater going. Tempted to do my Census on line now, but I better wait. .. Was surprised the guy asked me how many male & females I thought would be here on Tuesday night .. well, I'm not expecting anyone lol. Hope you did us women proud Laurie and bent the plastic. .. Did you buy some new shoes? .. My plastic I mentioned earlier almost bent in half. .. Thank goodness I have been home all day - no money spent! Tony - are you able to increase or decrease the amount of VB tablets you have daily without any problem, - and does the doc want you on them f'rever? lol I notice Dr Lew hasn't been around dispersing purple pills with gay abandon .. I think she has been busier now than when she was at work! I mean - here we have sick people (Trifley, Shazz) - sick pets (Sophie & c3) - and not a pill in sight. .. Falling down on the job. .. Think we'll have to take her medical qualifications off her now she's retired. Now, I'm off to do some serious work - really & truly Ooooops - thank you for that JA - I bet poor Mary was mad - she's not leaving till Tuesday .. however, if anyone wants to ring Mary, I have her new house number and her mobile - so please pm me Jood

Afternoon Wattlers Well if I was feeling a bit down you have certainly cheered me up with all the embarassing moments. My little probs will work themselves out in the long run too much to go on about on here. but I am ok and all I will say is EX'S GRrrr who wants them. The only embarassing thing I can remember at the moment is when I was in Grade 1 I wanted to go to the toilet, so I did the right thing and asked, the teacher told me to wait a while, for what reason I cant remember, could have got sick of everyone going or maybe it was just after recess. Anyway a little while went by, seemed ages and I asked again, and was told to still wait, well I couldnt and so the inevetible happened while I was sitting on the mat. I was sent down to the principals office for some clean pants, and I was too embarassed to go back into the classroom so I grabbed my bag and walked home, it takes me now about half an hour to walk it, not sure how long it took me then as I dont know if I knew my way around much, but I remembered following the bus route, which is not the shortest way to go. Well I have got our Census forms, they was delivered just a while ago, I said to the man has he been telling all the people to tick yes for question 60 and he said Whats question 60 derrrrrr obviously he hadnt. Dont panic if I am not about over the weekend. Have had a busy day this morning setting up the hall for the meeting and ceremony tomorrow and tomorrow night I have 3 staying with us and going to Casino for tea tomorrow night. Not sure if David has anything in store for Sunday, but he is going to buy some bourbon so we can have a drink over the weekend and for Sunday ..... now whats happening Sunday??????? Oh thats right Im older then Bugger :-(((((((( Well this time next weekend I will have my bags packed ready to go, I do hope I get a window seat, never flown to Sydney before, and I do love to look out at the places below, providing it is fine, fingers crossed. And I hope it rains for a few days more and gets it all out of its system and a fine weekend for next weekend, if thats ok with you Sydneysiders lol. 8 sleeps :-))))) Cheers Sue

Hello all Jill I keep forgetting as I told you to wish the little fellah well , can I asked you have you asked him if someone is bullying him in around about way saying perhaps 'Is there any bullies at your school we used to have some kids who were bullies when I was a school there has to be a reason for his behaviour also have they looked into food additives they can cause all sorts of behavial probs too and last but not least could he be being molested ? I know its hard to think about that but sometimes when they can't tell you they play up to get attention , Ijust hope they get to the bottom of it life is hard enough without having this too for the poor little guy. Thanks Joan for passing on Mary's message I bet she's cross about that and please Joan call in here more often you are always welcome. Must go just found out we are having another barbie tonight good on you Tiger he just told me I'm supposed to be making salad ok so bye Love lara

Yes, its nice. Got nice words with meaning to it. I never wrote it, but came across it while surfing the net one day so i started a thread with the words in it, called *Friendship* a bit way back, when the General board was getting very self destructive.....Thought peeps, should realise we are all here on these boards for various reasons, and before peeps go running their mouth off at others, perhaps they should take into consideration that all is not what it seems. Out there in cyber space on GR are: The lonely..... the sick...... the dying.... people with disabilities.....dyslexia......poor education,( not all of us are born with a silver spoon in there mouths ).....people that just need someone to talk to, or advice.........and for some, this site is a place to meet people from all over the world, and change idea's and cultural differences....And have a good joke and a laugh......:>))))))))))))))))))) hoot hoot xx Tony Oz..:>))
