I know where the light rail stop is. Haven't been on it before as usually walk down that way. The weather report for 12th August (as per accu weather) is partial sunshine with a maximum of 18 real feel temp 21. Doesn't indicate rain at all. All sounds OK. I have a little Sydney book somewhere from the other week when we went . I'm sure it will have the light rail route in that. love from Yvette x |

Morning all from chilly Qld Quite a nip in the air this morning! Been for an early morning walk and my nose froze! Eisteddfod is over for us for another year. Some brilliant musicians amongst our young people. How talented they are and how much work they have put in over the years to reach this standard. Katherine was awarded 2 highly commended certificates so I am very proud because believe me, the competition was tough. I'm getting very jealous with all this talk about the Sydney meet! Hope you all have a ball. (Psst - you other stay at home Wattlers - we'll have to create mayhem whilst the others are away!) Have a good day everyone Love Anna |

Well done to your Katherine, Anna. You must be very proud. The computer man will be here shortly to sort out the laptop. We're having a wireless router installed, so I'll be able to keep on top of the Sydney Meet from down south. Lew Lew xxx |

Oi Anna, let's ask the Queen what she thinks we should do. Tony and Flakey are only 3 hours from Bright. Maybe we can do a series of mini meets, lol. Lew x |

I'll be in Sydney and yet if I was in Alexandra for the weekend (as we usually are) it would only be 1 .5 hours. I think Flakeys' Roy has a tournament on next weekend, and she was going to the boy from Oz that weekend as well so she may not be available. Anna - mayhem? you lot - never lol jude |

Top'o'the morning to all, beeeyootiful looking outside, haven't tested the temperature yet, but I'm headed for garden today I hope. Anna, says congrats to Katherine for her individual performances at the Eisteddfod. Well done. We had a brilliant night at Music night at the school last night, right from the tiny tots through to a lovely senior string quartet, then the whole school choir sings 'Keep Your Lamps' (trimmed and burning) as the Year 12's process down the hall and out of the building as a farewell to the school body ( as they enter the final two months of school prepping for exams, they relinquish all their positions of responsibility now ) - at his point every year I get the hugest lump in my throat and several of the girls were in tears but still marching slowly and dignified....it's a real moment to be proud of. I'll be a sobbing wreck when it's DD15's turn. Lew, I'm an hour from Bright, keep me posted if you plan a meet. OK brekky needed, have a nice weekend everyone ~~ Hz ~~ |

Someone had better bring a lap-top to the Casino :) Some of the fun is finding out what all the others are up to!! I can't believe it is soooo close. Gwenda and I will meet up with Shazz and then Lyn (plus assorted OH's) and all come together. Hey, a mini-meet in Bright is a brill idea. ~~~~~~~Vonny *who is almost awake* |

Trifley wanders in, glances at clock....12:14pm....aaahhh, good. It's not morning anymore. Good, good, good afternoon to my favourite Wafflers. Wot's this? A meet in Sydney and now talk of a mini meet in Bright? That's it.....we are just going to have a party here in Qld! pppppppp) I bet Duffy Fluck will be looking forward to a drink by that time. Poor thing must have walked her feet off by now. Anna...<<<clap>>> to Katherine. A talented young lady. Is she interested in making a career of music? Crew...when you do your census, don't forget question 60...lol. Graeme has been talking to his mates at work and none of them have their forms yet. He has gone off today with strict instructions to tell them about Q. 60 AND to put in second given names if there is space. Hi Lyn....thanks for your thoughts. I'm on the mend now. The chest area is good....just uncomfortable where the staples are. But they come out on Monday so that's no problem. The only thing which IS giving me the s***s is my arm. It is sore to touch which makes things difficult. Apart from that I'm sparking on all four cylinders...:-) Hi Joodles.....rug up well...you don't want to come down with something and miss the Sydney meet. Cat person....have you heard when Jilly gets back from her holiday? Uuumm...think it's time for some more coffee. i'll see you later. love Trifley X |
