Evening Wattlers, well we're finally in Bright! Wattie is safe and well and enjoyed his drive down the Hume Hwy. Not much snow about, but I'll find him some, don't you worry! Another successful Meet and Terry and I had a great time catching up with old friends and meeting new ones. I, of course, was on my bestest behaviour, as always, heeeee, heeeee. I'm off to have some dinner now, but will try to catch up with you lot during the week. Seeya Lew Lew xxx

Evening Wattlers Well I'm home, I have actually been home for a couple of hours, but had to spend a bit of time with my girls and David, as they was so kind in getting me plane tickets for my birthday so I could go to the Sydney meet. Firstly a big thankyou to Laurie and Ray for the hospitality they gave me, I would be pushing hard to find nicer people anywhere. They picked Jude, Ken and myself up at airport and back to their place for Breaky down at the nearby cafe, then coffee at their place before heading off to the casino. Then I had the best time I have had in ages. I handed out a proper map of Australia pmsl. By the end of the meet I was starting to get a bit tired, did no good on the pokies, shhhh I think it had something to do with Lew pushing my buttons, on my pokie machine that is pmsl. It was great to meet everyone there, and as Mary said it has been a long time since we first comunicated through this site, and now to finally meet each other. I think a couple of people were trying to work us out as when Ken was playing on the pokies, we was all gathered around watching him, and a couple of other patrons had a sticky to see what we was up too lol, they probably thought we was taking the casino to the cleaners hee hee. Then after Everyone else had left or retired early to bed ( not mentioning any names) lol, Laurie and Ray took Jood and myself around sydney to have a look at the city at night, then back to their place for a lovely late night BBQ. I had to be a party pooper at about 11.30. Woke up a bit after 6.00am and made myself a coffee and sat on Lauries balcony and watched the sun rise. Then after everyone rose, had shower and breakfast we went and took jood to railway station, then Laurie and myself went up Centrepoint tower, by then I had to go to airport as with me flying Jetstar, didnt want to be late booking in,Sorry to not have caught up with Jude and Ken before I headed home, but I believe they were also busy seeing the sight of Sydney. Had a nice flight home looking out the window all the way. My darling David cooked tea and done the washing up :-)))) I have got a couple of pics I will add later, if not tonight , then tomorrow. One final word to all at the meet Thanks for such a great time it was great to meet you all, and Im sorry for the ones that couldnt make it, you missed a good day, but then Im sure all the meets are good. Hi Everyone I am back on line and cant believe it .. Telstra said it would take 2 weeks.. Must be a good week or they are desperate for the money as they didnt quite make the profit they hoped.. Laurie Thanks for the pickles.. lovely..I am so annoyed I forgot my camera..must be getting CRAFT again.. I would like to thank you all for a lovely day yesterday, and a nicer lot of friends would be hard to find..I got home about 5 and had to go babysitting at 5.30. I was very tired but son left me a puta so that passed the time..When they got home about 1,30 they informed me that I had won the second prize in the raffle and won a night at the 4 Seasons Hotel in George Street with breakfast thrown in..Think I will take the OH to the Opera House to a show and then we can spend the night at the hotel and not have to worry about getting home late. A nice finish to a lovely day. Glad everyone got home safely and Tassie hope you had a nice flight.. Feeling a little tired tonight so will have a early night as I am not used to getting to bed at 2 in the morning..Would love any picks that anyone has to spare .. Hi folks, I'm back again. Hi Devily...nice to see you got home safe. It sounds as if you had a very full weekend. The Wattlers are a great lot of people aren't they? Hi Vonny..11 down...what...only 7 to go? Crew...I hope you've got Wattie rugged up well...por little fella has been in Queensland and will feel the cold...lol Gwenda...sleep well. Evening Again Just quickly before I go to bed, I have sent pics to what I hope is everyone in our Wattle group, I have made a folder in my contact and I think I have everyones email in it and i just clicked on 'Wattle' folder to send the emails. Good evening all, I'm trying to get it together to be in bed at 9.30, not going real well at it. Went for a walk with oh and the dog this morning. oh admitted to not feeling the best intermitantly of late. He has late nights with the band, and also works hard massaging and teaching but said feels woosy every now and then. Took his blood pressure. ooo bit high, so i've been nice to him today, because it was a bit of a shock. packing him off to the doctor asap. I was totally shattered and really happy after yesterday. It was a fabulous day. After Sandra got off the train, I had to try hard not to fall asleep or I would have missed my stop. Don't know how the drivers managed. I was a bit shy but you guys are so welcoming and lovely - the blokes too. I think I will have to stick the Mudgee dates in my diary and try hard for that weekend, just to meet some more . Glad your puss came home Vonny, I would have been besides myself if it was Bloss or one of the boys(doggies not kids) The photos have been saved to hard drive, I have a proper 'Wattlers folder' now. it does look as if i'm just about to undress, hey? The youngest child loved the Tassie card and I have my wattlers 'quilt' on my keyring. thankyou sooo much. Wondering, did that little bear have a hangover this morning? and did he eat his hugs and kisses that were in the bag? Don't know about AA for him, I think we need WA for us. Had a sleep this arvo and watched Dr Who, courtesy of lovely child who taped it for me. Finished off Adrian's amplifier cover and stuck myself with more pins. phew. I think I've missed 9.30 bed time. Theres a bit more washing to hang out, shower and I'm there. Looking forward to another week of madness. Good morning Wattlers, What a lovely day on Botany Bay! All shite and briny, sun bathed and beautiful. There are 5 giraffes reaching their long necks up into the blue sky, a block of flats is headed out of the bay guided by the pilot boats. I am under no illusions that our export trade is up - so guessing lots of those are empty - plus for the height of the load the ship is sitting up in the water. There are lots of little fishing vessels out near the heads so the fish must be around out there, and there are 5 large planes sitting waiting to take off. Hope you had a lovely day yesterday Jude & Ken, and a good flight home. Guess your not real interested in heading off to work this morning. TLR left early to go up to Maitland for a presentation, at least he is going against the flow of the traffic, so shouldn't be too bad. Glad you got home safe and sound Sue, I imagine your girls and David were full of questions - what a lovely birthday pressie they gave you. No Anna, we didn't have any awards presentations at Sydvegas . . . there were discussions !!!! but everyone was awarded the pleasure of being in such good company. Jude DIY presented all present with a 'key ring quilt' - a lovely idea, made with wattle material, and each one lovingly embroidered by the master herself. Gwenda's Dave brought back Hersheys sweets called Kisses & Hugs which were circulated and the lovely Lew provided flakes for one and all so that Jude Flakey was represented. . . . and of course little devil from Tassie presented us all with the 'true map' of Australia !!! I think was the award of the Apple Isle !!! The sneaky Trifley sent our Wattley to Tassie - so he could keep Sue company on the trip to the mainland - wasn't that a lovely idea. He is certainly a well travelled little fellow - and of course now he is down in Bright. Morning Yvette - you were late & early weren't you . . . we're all a little slow off the mark this morning - well on the puter anyway, I have already done the h/@#%$k - so much to do (teeeheee) Well I need a cuppa, and another load of washing needs to go in so will be back later cheers all luv Laurie

Awww poor Yvette, I was still around last night, but didnt add any more to the thread as I'd already talked my head off earlier. I was also up at 6.00am this morning and no sign of a Wattler, so I thought I'd wait till someone else messaged. .. Geez, some 2-3 hours later, they are emerging!!!! Its looking a brilliant day outside, but still quite cold in the house. .. My fingers are like ice. I've sent a few pics along but I'm bit disappointed with mine - I should have taken a pic of each person separately. Lew, I have a query - will Wattie need a passport for the South Pole - if so, you better start working on it. . I just hope he gets some warm clothes to wear down there - I mean he's a Wattle Bear, not a Polar Bear. Yvette, I hope you do get to Mudgee - it willl be sooo much fun. You'll get to meet some of the Qld mob - or should I say Aristocracy (in other words the trararara mob). I hope Lara brings my own pink Bendigdo trararara with her.
