Good morning Wattlers, its a beautiful sunny but windy day in Melb today. As usual for a wednesday I'm stuck in the office, but thats OK I can keep an eye on who is about. Hope all those who arent100% feel better today. Will pop in again through the day. Flakey

Morning Wattlers, just a quick hello before I drive out to pick up the Aunty and take her to lunch. Wattie went with Terry up to Falls Creek, so I'll get him to report in later as to how his day of skiing went. Vonny, I'm so pleased you're going to make it to the Mudgee Meet. Hi all - I was around this morning, but dinny (as Cat says) - I dinny post. .... *smacks hand* I hope I didn't give anyone a cold, I'm sure I was well past the contagious stage, in fact I am positive I was.. Actually one of the reasons I didnt come on (I think) - is that I felt sort of funny, like lightheaded, wasn't sure if I was imagining it or not. .. So I rang the Doc who had previously put me in hospital and was told to come straight down, which I did - .. I was a tad scared as to why it was happening, being on my own. .. But nothing to worry about, it was congestion (fluid in ears, eyes, nose) - I'd wondered why I had bags all of a sudden lol .. I'm quite happy now - he told me what to do, and I don't have the problem any more. .. But, for me, it was a bit scary. He very kindly bulk billed me too, which he doesn't always do. Bad news to hear Lew Lew now has a sore throat - thats Lew, Glenda, Mary & Sandra. .. :((( .. Probably Wattie will be next. .. I hope he doesnt get a chill ski-ing nude with Terry. Jood

Good afternoon everyone : Lew sorry to hear you too have the dreaded lurgie did you get some of that liqued gold I think about half abottle of that should knock it on the head or a full bottle of their Moscato yum hope Terry takes good care of Wittle Wattie,maybe he will skiing down the slopes too hehe. Vonny good management with Canadians so you can come to Mudgee too Laurie are you ok after having accie have you sprung any leaks , also please tell me the fenshui rule re blue roofs bad news aren't they and also my daughjter did try and say about water in your back yeard but she had it up the poo somehow do you knoe about that one all of them or most seem to be downright common sense like don't face bed towards door with feet means you'll be going out that way well sorry but dont go out windows I think they mean dead but also will hopefully be carried out thru the doorway one day but if don't stop putting on weight I will need crane thru the window for sure . Today Laurie I sent Mike to get all eating sensibly stuff from supermarket as if I go I will buy nice stuff to eat instead like brie and blue cheese instead of low fat soapie tasting cheese or lowfat fetta oh yuk its grose. Anyway going to run the tape over moi tonight and we will see what happens glad something is getting a run up tape I mean havn't walked anywhere yet disgraceful, going to learn tonight to make spring rolls and ginger fish and chicken and corn soup Hope all that feeling poorly get better quickly . Afternoon All, Postitive thoughts to all the sickies, take care of yourselves, spring is in the air and warmer weather always helps to make you feel better. Jood - glad Doc was able to sort you and only bulkbilled too. I don't think you passed any germs around - we were probably all due to get whatever this is. If it wasn't for my throat I'd be firing on all cylinders - do have the occasional tickle in the throat but certainly don't feel a real cold coming on - popping vitamins and have some 'first sign of a cold' Strepsils for when I cough and salt water gargle and fluids - don't think I can do much more than that. Lew - sorry you have joined the ranks of the unwell - please don't pass anything on to Wattie - there's not a lot of him although if he's been hitting the bottle maybe he's immune from our germs. Vonny - the sun came out so the washing is out in the sun and there is a breeze too. Good Afternoon Wattlers, Guess what I started to Spring clean this morning. Thought if I start now I will have it finished before summer sets in LOL. Dragon Fly, you sure you don't have a wabbit in bed with you LOL Laurie how did the acupuncture go? I did think of having it, but Trifley put me off. All you sick people, did you get your flu jabs? I don't think Lew did, now look what happens. A few brandy's or hot toddy's may cure the throat. Not long now Tony, hope you have a great time. Caurse you're well practised at holidays so it should come easy to you. Especially free ones. LOL Mary, you should be doing the visiting to get a rest, not the other way around. Is Raggy Bear about? Afternoon all Sounds like a few have came down with the dreaded cold, Jood dont worry cause I dont think you passed it to anyone, cause if you did, I think I would definately have it as I probably got closer to you than anyone else did, and I'm fine :-) But then again I did have my flu jab. Yesterday I dont think I came on as my dear Son decided to muck up my day, so to speak. He sent me a text to see if I could go oout and take him for a driving lesson, I said I could shortly. So he told me to text when I was on the way, so I got a daytripper on the bus and when I got to town, I text him, and he came back and told me Sorry cant something came up Grrrrrrrr. So I decided to go to my friends instead. Anyway last night he was on the phone to Tamika and asked her to ask me if I could take him driving and I just replied I got no money. So this morning he sent another text asking me if I could and he would give me $10.00, So I did, anyway while we was out driving I got him to come to my place and we unbolted the trampoline, that the girls dont use anymore, and he can have it at his place for his gf's children. So that is one thing out of the way fro when we move. Ok not much else has happened, need to have shower and do a couple of things before girls get home from school. Cheers Sue

Good Afternoon Wattlers long distance hugs for all the sickies. Got your messages Jude 2, Anna and Trifley look out for the postie. Sue you will be kicking yourself you didn't leave Sydney later - we got to the airport and the V8 crews from the car racing at Eastern Creek, were all there waiting to fly home. Ken indulged in a bit of celebrity spotting you and he would have had a ball - I apparently didn't show enough enthusiasm for who I was seeing - pmsl. No Lowndes, but Greg Murphy, Jason Bargwanna (?), John Bowe ( ok I own up - had to dash out and ask Ken who were those guys again? ) can't remember who else. Had one of the crews on our flight (but don't know which team they were with). After walking around Sydney for hours didn't feel much like getting excited over pit crews lol. Finally fell into bed at 12.00 midnight and up again at 7.30 to move David back home. We filled a 3 ton van with all his stuff and thank goodness for storage space at the workshop! Mind you if we knew he had collected so much c**p I would have got him to hire a storage lock up. We moved him from a 2 storey apartment - some stuff to to a 2 storey house, and the stuff at the workshop went - have you guessed - up stairs! Boy have my leg muscles had a workout the last 3 days - my bum better look smaller! lol A big thank you to all who have sent me piccies from Sydney -have put them in my Wattlers folder.( I forgot my camera, my ID and the book in bar code for Virgin on Saturday - talk about a craft day) Flat chat today and tomorrow at work, then off to Mandurah on Friday- may not get back on here until the 30th, depends whether I can find an internet cafe - lol. ~~~~ & hugs to everyone, jude 3

Judy DIY How can you not get excited with all those red blooded revheads about. Oh well at first I was disappointed, then you mentioned No Lowndes, so I was ok then. Anyway I did get a nice surprise when we was on way to pick up other dd, a text to say that Lowndes won the points overall on the day and is now the leader of the series YES!!!!!! Anyway, I will get to meet them all and get signatures in November when they are here, but then again already got signatures, so I might just go for a ....... ....P ........... . look pmsl. Now you should have been nice and took some photos of Ken and the drivers, oh thats right you left camera at home with photo id etc :-) Cheers Sue

Jude2 - I hope Terry didn't ski nude - but some guys take their shirts off as it gets too hot - I know - the one and only time I went, they were shedding their tops, (not the women of course) .. pmsl Thanks Tassie Sue for reassuring me it wasnt my fault they all got colds. .. Hi everyone Well not only the phone died but the internet did also..we have spent a fortune on mobile calls but Telstra say they will be out to fix it either today or tomorrow.. Out of the blue the internet came back on so that is one good thing..still no phone.. I think last saturday must have been National Bug Day.. and a lot of us caught it..I have gone back on to my vitamin C and hope it gets better soon as I have so much to do..I will have to do 2 trips to the removalists tomorrow to take back all the boxes, but it is so nice to see a cleared dining room.The place is starting to look a lot better already.. Jood Glad you went to see the doc. and hope you are feeling a lot better..I am sure we didnt get our colds from you as you were quite well when we met.. It was just our turn to get one and I am sure we will all be fine in a few days.. Afternoon Wattlers. Absolutely glorious day in Mulbin, with winds blowing up from the South. Spent the morning working down at Sorento, along the Mornington Peninsular.So had lunch in the car at a favourite spot, and watched the waves rolling in. My G,G, Aunt was born here in 1854 and they named her Amelia mornington Barnes. My Barnes family ( Mums side ) came from Liverpool/Manchester ( Builders ) to here in Victoria in 1853. Amelia mornington was the 1st to be born on Ozzie soil after they arrived. Her other 5 siblings were all born in Liverpool. While eating my lunch i was thinking, i wonder if they gave her the mornington name, because this is where she was born?? Thanks to all you Queenslanders for letting me come up without a pass port...lol Yes, only a cuppla sleeps to Hayman Island, and arrive at Hamilton at 10:30 am Friday morn, then a 50 min boat trip across to Hayman. Barbs competition win consisted of 4 x people flight to Hamilton Island from anywhere in Oz plus all transfer fees,( to and from the Island ) 2 x Deluxe superior suite's,Meals included Breakfast, Dinner, and Tea x 4 people for 6 days, Full use of non-motorised water crafts,Full use of Activity centre ( Gym ) Various guided resort tours and Cinema screenings and 4 x 90 min Massages. I gave my massage to Barb, so she is going to use it to have a therapeutic mud Facial???? ( hope that sounds right....lol ) Perhaps i should have a facial meself, but looked in the mirror and thought....Naaahh.. i dont need it......:>))))))) Il'e be happy just to sit at the bar at happy hour, and sip on a few Tequila sunrises, or Freddy Fudpuckers. ( checks spelling )...lol Might even have a Fluffy Duck, me thinks.......Don't mind a cocktail or two or three. I will of course upgrade from a V.B mind you, to a Pilsner or Crown lager,just to show i can be posh.(holds little finger in air ) O'k.... enough of my cra.......er'm i mean Waffle. Sounds like everyone is crook,so best wishes to all sickies. To all who are travelling, safe trip. Its time for V.B tablet,,,,,,,coz Av a good un Tony Oz...:>)))

Yeah yeah Tony - I wooda gone wif yas, and I wooda had ya mud pack or massage or wotever, and I'd even had shared with fancy drinks wif ya, tho I'd love a fluffy duck, I wooda abstained because of our owen duffy fluck - I'da prolly had a brandy crusta or a cherry brandy or summat. ..
