Thanks for all your replies and pm's regarding emigration to Oz and NZ I'll hopefully have time to get on with that later Tony, sorry mate I'm not a local - the name thylacine is because I am the last in my family line so it could soon become extinct Thanks again AT

Glad you liked it Tony - you can just imagine the sweet little old lady in front of the congregation .. pmsl (sorry about your wet computer tho) I knew you weren't organising the meet dear Trifley - you have to get the numbers for the motel in order to get the discount. .. Now its not fair you are having a jamma party without me :( .. I strongly object *pout* Great Yvette - glad you are coming. OMG Vonny I shot the strawberry - now I got aliens creeping across the screen - think the strawberries were better lol Jood

Yes Jood..the same thought was going through my mind, and thats what made me laugh. ( just my weird sense of humour ..lol ) Was just over on the Records office helping someone find a Grandad in Q.L.D Think i found him for her, and solved a century year mystery she had been confused with. Aaaaah...another happy customer..:>))) Cant go losin our grandads now, can we. Ancestral Thylacine. I'm the last in my line also mate, but I'm not allowed to say that, as my daughters shoot me down in flames for being male chauvinist, and remind me that yes...you are the last male in your line..but not the last in your line, Dad.....lol Tony Oz.....:>))

Once again, bed sounds wonderful, that passionate love affair is still so strong Nite nite, sleep tight don't let the bed bugs bite, Pam drag drag drag - off to the pond - wings hanging low and tail hitting the ground, waddling slowly

Laura Nice to meet you.. First you have to realise that Aussie is a very big country... We mostly live around the coastline with a few large cities in the inland. The north is tropical and the south can get very cold and is where the ski fields are.. Now what do you want .. The most expensive city housing wise is Sydney and Melbourne next..If hubby has a trade he should have no trouble getting work as they are very short of tradespeople. FCCA,, Is that an accountant ,,sorry not up in shortcuts..If he is he shouldnt have trouble getting a job..Best to write to some firms out here and apply for a job while still in the UK and see how you get on..Go to a large newsagent in town and see if you can buy a Sydney Morning Herald or Age Newspaper. These are about the bigest Aussie newspapers and they are a full of info.. I think the best thing for you to do would be to write to Australia House and ask any quesstions you want answered..They would be able to tell you if there is a waiting list to get here. and what job prospect are..If you have any special questions you want answered fire away and we will try and answer them.. Hope this helps a little. Someone else may add to this so keep a watch.. Well you mob I am off to bed so see ya in the morning... Love Maryxxxxx

I'm not writing all that again, but i will go to mudgee via the train and i would like to stay at the country comfort and I think the Friday and Saturday would probably be a good idea. hi Laura, for a little exercise, check out the distance from sydney to mudgee, also country link (train& coach) sydney to mudgee and also shellharbour to sydney (cityrail - train). there's a few beautiful quiet spots along the way love Yvette xx

Hi Laura, You need to go to the Aust immigration web site if you haven't already, to get immigration requirements. I'm afraid the 10pound deal has been finished for a while :) (joke) As Mary said, the biggest cities are Melbourne and Sydney they are also the most expensive but have more opportunities. I personally like Canberra :) especially for a family, but Brisbane and Adelaide are nice and so is Perth. Hobart is a lovely city but I'm not sure of job oportunities. Darwin is Hot but you might like that :) it also has a more laid-back style. If your Hubby can get a job with a company over here first, then maybe you could come out here and 'try before you buy', then you will have a better idea if you like it. Sometimes peeps come and then get very homesick. Or, you could be like my neighbours and come out and have a ball and hope never to go back :) Night to all, ~~~~~~~~~Vonny

Trifley - glad someone from the Wattlers is still up and about! Have got in touch with Tony to join up in the Lotto club (now I'm definitely under pressure to bring home a big prize!) OH and I will definitely go to Mudgee and in fact may take OH's brother as I have a feeling he is out from UK then I can always send them off to visit the wineries whilst we have the jim jam party at the Country Comfort!! That's a lovely motel and very handy to everything. Shazz - haven't seen you on here for a couple of days - I'll give you a call and we can go for lunch soon. Talk to you all tomorrow ( gosh have just seen the clock and it is already Friday!) Sleep tight all. Lyn
