Hello Wattlers, Each time I start writing a little ditty to post I get interrupted and four days later what I've written doesn't sound up to date anymore lol!! So (gentle) ((((hugs))))) to the unwell, poor Kathryn, sounds like she's got the lurgy DD15 had, time is the only cure. As for sciatica SusieQ, hubby gets it, it's awful, you poor dear take it easy. And with sinus trouble too - I ended up getting surgery for my sinuses, now I can breathe. I had polyps on my polyps. Trifley, you'll be opening a commercial kitchen at this rate, isn't Graeme wonderful - my mouth is watering from here ! Have you had to have another Bowen massage, or is your arm coming good. Lara I giggled away reading your post, so picturesque imagining the calories jumping all over you as you look in the Darrell Lea windows!!! Your lunch sounded great Laurie, I'm stuck with a steak and mushroom pie, it's that kind of day here, this morning's fog was thick thick thick. I was hoping to get to a family friend's funeral earlier this week but with staff sick or on leave I had to stay in town. DD14 got good a role in the Xmas play the lead's'ditzy girlfriend' - lots of clothes changes apparently. Now here is the Bathtub Test : (Be Honest) It doesn't hurt to take a good hard look at yourself from time to time, and this should help get you started. During a visit to the mental asylum a Family History nut asked the Director what the criterion was which defined whether or not a patient should be institutionalised. 'Well,' said the Director, 'we fill up a bathtub, then we offer a teaspoon, a teacup and a bucket to the patient and ask him or her to empty the bathtub.' 'Oh, I understand,' said the genealogist, ' a normal person would use a bucket becasue it's bigger that a spoon or a teacup.' 'No' said the Director. 'A normal person would pull out the plug. Do you want a bed near a window?' DId you pass or do you want the bed next to me? ~~~~~~Hz~~~~~~~

Hi Hz...<<<clap>> congrats to your daughter on getting the part. I think 'Theatre - drama' is good for kids and adults too. It lets them 'air' another side of their personality. It also helps encourage imagination. TX

Evening Wattlers, Thanks for the email trifley on Country Comfort. SuzyQ sorry to hear your not well, that sciatica is a bugger to have. Tony Hope the trip home was good, I was amazed at the prices to stay on Hayman, I think I will give that one a miss unless I can win one like Barb. Mary Glad you are relaxing and having a nice time with your visitors. All this talk of diets has made me want something sweet, mmm like chocolate, oh it's hard. Who was it it mentioned about the lemon /water every morning to kick start the liver, I brought some lemons today so am going to try it, I remember my Mum she always drank PLJ( pure lemon juice in warm water for years and her skin was lovely, no wrinkles until the day she died aged 88, but then again maybe it was the english climate that contributed to that.lol Well have had dinner now thinking of desert chocolate coverd strawberry's is what I fancylol Ok have a great evening see you tomorrow Cheers Sandra in the Gong

Hi everyone I'm off on the bus to Brisbane State Library tomorrow with my Family History Group - going to try to track down some shipping info. Wish me luck! Welcome home Tony - are you missing Qld already??? Glad you had a great time. Have you got some pickles? Heather - what a great thrill for your daughter - she will have such fun. Trifley - good luck with the daffing down dillies tomorrow. I'm so glad you're feeling well enough to do it. By the way - what are you getting stuck into the martoonies for? At this rate you'll be too hung over tomorrow to get out of bed let alone sell dafffing down dillies. I've been good today - food wise - but I did have a teeeeny tiiiiiiiiiny merlot while I was cooking dinner! It was veeeeery small - probably would have fitted in a thimble - well maybe a medicine glass! Have a lovely evening everyone - I'm sure certain people will be watching that bitter and twisted House creature. XX Anna

Just reading back a few threads, and sorry to hear Rebs has left the sight. So if your looking in mate, take care xx Trifley. Thanks for the Email about Country Comforts. Mary. No we dont live like that mate...hee hee We very down to earth, and my ideal vacation is on the banks of a river in a tent.Open fire at night, Fishing rod in one hand, V.B tablet in the other...lol Sue ( Tassie ) I think Jude Melb answered your question aboot Hayman & Hamilton. Hamilton can be expensive,( pending ) but also very family orientated. The views and atmosphere are just as spectacular, and there is much more to do and see on Hamilton Island, and it has much more to offer for the family or the executive. Barb and i love Hamilton Island ( 5 times now ) we have stayed there at very reasonable costs. Also one of the holiday homes of the late George Harrison ( Beatles ) We took Sarah when she was 2,5,7,10, years old and food and accommodation was free on the Island for her, which is a bonus if you have say, 4 kids who eat like sparrows. There is a small shopping centre also on Hamilton, where as Hayman......... its like shopping at Harrods in London....lol About 5 shops...all upmarket. Barbs was looking in the Jewerly shop, and i said....forget it mate.....LOL Lowest price for anything started at around $2,000 smackaroonies. Hayman is a 5/6 star resort.Honeymooners, Retired rich peeps, Business conventions, Weddings......... There was a Cancer Pharmaceutical convention while we were there. One section is the main Pool wing and the other is the Lagoon wing. In both sections on Hayman they start roughly per night for the basic room. $620 Your looking at the *average* cost per night for a couple with Breakie,Dinner, Tea and drinks at around $1,000 per night. All six restaurants alternate, and when the Italian is not open you eat Seafood. If the Seafood is not open you eat Asian and so on...........If the Seafood is closed then you might have to eat Asian or Italian two nights running ( hope you like Asian ) or you can book for a B.B.Q night....but you gotta book it early else you will miss out.......90% of the food is a la Carte......... Plus as a bonus......you haffta eat really, really, fast....coz if you dont, the Seagulls and Cockatoos on the Island will eat/pinch it for you, and at about $200 bucks......you might wanna just shoot the Cocky and eat him....LOL Little extras: At 7:00 pm your bed is turned down for you, and any dropped towels are replaced.Room is re-cleaned. A perfumed oil and candle are lit. 2 Chockies are placed on your pillows each night.Your aicon is set, and resort slippers are laid out on a towel by your bed. A next day activities sheet is placed on your coffee table. So each night you return from Tea, everything is new again. Rooms only: Palm room starts at about $620 per night going upwards towards the Beach Villa about $3,600 per night. Palm Superior Pool Superior Pool Access Pool Deluxe $900 Pool Suite Lagoon Superior Lagoon Deluxe Lagoon Suite $2,100 Beach Front Retreat Room Beach Villa $3,600 ( some with there own little private swimming pool ) Penthouses start at about $2,800 per night. Queensland 1 bedroom $2,800 English 2 bedroom $3,500 French 3 bedroom $4,500 There are 9 different nationality named penthouses. Hayman is very relaxing if you hide the plastic card. The Whitsundays are our 2nd favourite place, next to Uluru ( Ayres rock resort,my Favourite spot )....but they are cheese and chalk. Best wishes to all who are not the best. Tony Oz...:>))) ps. Barbs already hitting the comps.......look out Fiji...lol

Good morning Wattlers . . . A grey overcast day on Botany Bay, but not cold. Almost mystical out there with just one little giraffe holding its head up high. Nice to have you back Tony - Always nice to come home, but Oh so lovely to have these experiences. I dont know if I'm Arfer or Marfer . . one minute Marie is coming to Sydney to travel with me up home then she's not . . . I guess we will get sorted before I hit the road! TLR has left me with a list of things to do for him today, I have left him with instructions to get a bum to sit on the seat he has for me at a football game on Saturday. Rather go to the dentist !!! Bris vs Syd - I think it is AFL . . . (ignorance is bliss) He has an early flight out to Singapore on Sunday - has to meet up with Yank customers, poor little things are tooo scared to go to Jakarta on their own !!! Hope your feeling a bit better this morning SuzyQ . . makes days long when your in pain doesn't it. Lets hope we get some rain up there soon to get rid of the grass fires - and save our gardens. Well I'm going to get a move on and get out to get the jobs done, TLR is going to need an extra suitcase for all the things I have to get for friends up there. Hope you all have a lovely day - no matter what you be doing cheers luv Laurie
