Great news isn't it Lew . . . So pleased with the names too . . . names that keep cropping up in our family tree . . . wonder if Colleen got the idea out of the copy of gen report I gave her ?? (teehee . . . maybe a little influence was snuk in there) I think by sound of it they will be out in Dubbo for a few days, lots of healing to do. I will be making a trip to Mudgee when I get back from up home for sure. More shopping to add to Rays list for Jakarta !! Not to mention a home for all the pretty pink things I had lined up for Kristeena's blue jellybean! luv Laurie

Morning all Quite cool and very windy here in S E Qld this morning. Have just been down for a blood test, so now can eat. The blood laboratry opens here at 6.30am for the early birds. Enjoy the pool today Mary if you get there and relax. Hz, wish it had drizzled here all night. Cilla if you don't have one, I would be buying a dryer and NOT stepping a foot outside for any reason !!!!!!!!!! Congratulations Laurie, how lovely. And such a pretty name. Now you can go and do some more shopping, not that you need an excuse LOL Hope Ray is taking and extra suitcase with him, think he might need it. Aren't you a smart little cookie Lew Lew !!!!!!!!! Must go, son wants to go and get a car registered (if it passes a road worthy). Pam

Morning Wattlers Ooooh Laurie - a pink baby. How wonderful. Congratulations to all concerned! Gosh Cilla - the snakes are out early - I think of summer when I think of snakes but I guess they've been disturbed by the cane burning. I had a very frustrating day at the State Library and the National Archives yesterday - didn't find a thing but at least I have all the possibilities to cross off my list! I felt quite sick after spending hours on the fische reader - my head was spinning! Had to take a break and drink some coffee! I left at 6.30am yesterday morning and didn't get home until 6.45pm last night so it was a full on day and I was well and truly pooped. Katherine went back to school yesterday - she says that half of the Year 11's at her school were away with the virus on Wednesday! Not good! Donna - sorry to hear that you still have problems. You're going to have to resort to some 'tough love' which is hard on everyone but I don't know what the alternative is. Have visitors coming for the weekend so I'd best do a bit of spit and polish and a spot of baking! Have a good day all XX Anna PS Waves to Ducky Fluff - you popped in under me! PPS - Good luck with your packing Devley - it will be worth it when you get into the new house PPS - Congratulations Jill on you win! Shame it has to go into the driving lessons - couldn't you spend a bit of mad money on yourself?

Anna, when I used to traipse off to do family history on microfiche - my eyes got sore too, so I bought some A4 coloured paper (sort of like cellophane, but stiff - don't know what you call it). .. I placed this on the screen off the microffiche, and it was very easy to read, and less strain on the eyes. .. Might be worth trying. .. I hope you know the sort of stuff I mean, like perspex, but bendable and see through. Jood

Pink, pink, pink it is. Congrats to Mum, Dad and of course the greatest Aunty ever :) We had some drizzle yesterday and some real rain overnight. It's a cloudy day today. I've got all day free so going to try and do some FH. I'll just spread out over the floor :) Tomorrow is our 34th Wedding anniversary and eldest son and DIL are cooking dinner at their place for the whole family. It will also be a farewell dinner for my youngest D and SIL who are heading overseas to Birmingham for a month. They have been invited by a Church there to come and help in a youth project. Big commitment for them as they have had to raise their own fares and also close their cleaning business for a month. Their accommodation and food is taken care of though. ~~~~~~~~~ later 'ron Vonny

Hi Shaz, Hi all, haven't been on to say hello this week, I've been so busy but thought I better give you an update. As some know I found my dad's family last week. Since then I have spoken to my aunts sister almost every day to build up some info. Lucky me spoke to my cousin yesterday, she is going to photo copy the first page of the family bible where they keep a history of the family. have found out I am part aboriginal (not that you can tell) and my g grandparents were so well respected they were amongst the first aboriginals to be given their own settlement of land. I even have a half brother she is going to contact to see if he wants to get to know me, he was born ten years earlier. Shaz- thanks for letting me have a natter on the phone last week. I thought I would explode if I didn't talk to someone know cares about family history. Jood- what a terrible day it is here in the mountains AND I have roadworks going on out front of our house. Trifley- just saw Lauries thread. Sooo glad you have had some good news. I have been sending positive thoughts for you. Laurie- congrats. nothing better then a new baby to love. Congrats. to the new parnets too Louisa x

Well I have had a little sleep in and got woken up by the phone .. A bit cloudy today and the handyman has come to affix the drier to the wall. It will be good to then have the main bathroom free to walk in as the drier is sitting in the middle of the floor..LOL The poor visitors had to get round it to get in.. Lousia How wanderful to find all this new family you didnt know you had..I hope they bring you a lot of love and many blessings..I do hope your half brother is keen to see you and you both hit it off well. Nothing like a brother who loves you as I know I have 3...and I woulnt swap them for quids... Vonny Congratulations on your 34th wedding anniversary. You dont look a day over 21, so dont know how you could have been married for 34 years...enjoy your family dinner... Anna Think of all the experience you had searching at the Library.. LOL I know how you mean re head spinning.. I spent a few hours searching in the New Plymouth Library in NZ and didnt know who I was looking for by the end of it..All those names just kept spinning around..I didnt get far either..Glad Katherine is better.. Pam I am having a lovely day so far.. OH is playing with his new big screen TV. The handy man is fixing the drier to the wall, and I am sitting her enjoying my puta and nobody to worry me, the day is MINE.. so I may get that swim in after all.. Laurie..What can I say... LOTS of love and hugs for the proud parents and a big HUG for you .. Another name to add to the tree and a good reason to go shopping...Love the name and hope both mum and babe are doing well... Cilla Keep the back door closed and the lawn cut very low..Spring and summer are the worst times for snakes and Brown are a nasty kind..Wear gumboots if going into scrub,, Heather.. Boy you get up early,,were you having trouble with the floor of the spare room,, did it dissapear or summit..LOLglad you found it again.. Jood Loved your Hindu joke..so real.. Jill 200 smakaroos, you lucky girl,, good for you,, Lew I knew brown got very bad tempered but I didnt know that the black ate them, I will never kill a black one if I see one now,,I hate the dasterdy things and when we went to Ophir near Orange gold fossicking I always wore my gumboots as the greenies got into the reserve and said it had to return to its natural state so the few sheep that were on it and kept the grass down by eating it , were taken off and now the grass is so long nobody is game to go there as the snakes are really bad and one is scared to tread anywhere for fear of treading on one..They have ruined a beautiful place and the council in Orange wander why no one goes there much any more.. We certainly dont and after the last visit we saw so many red belly black and a few brown we decided that was it,,,,, Tassie Hows the packing,, You have my sympathy and hope you are getting some help..Vowed I will never move again... Shazz. How are ys mate... do you really have to get up at 3.30 to get OH to work..what a ghastly hour..I must admit after our visitors left this morning at 6am I snuck back to bed and had another hours sleep.. Life is slowley getting back to normal and I will soon be able to get started on my family history again..fantastic... Love to all especially those I havent mentioned.. Back Later Love Mary xxxxx

I have to share this with someone. My kids have no information on their father's side, due to the grandfather skipping out when the kids were under 3 (3 of them) - supposedly a canadian, but never found any more out. .. Ex's mother we discovered in the last few yrs was adopted - but no father was declared. .. The only avenue we had was her real mother (by the way ex mother in law died earlier this year). .. The real mother died in 1962. .. This is the only person we can research on the kids side. We've found most of the family in the country in WA (including our convict) long since deceased - and today my daughter received an email in reply to hers, from a descendant who is possibly a half sister to ex ma-in-laws 'real mother'. .. Woooohooooooooooo I'm so happy - I will be visiting that town when I go over at xmas, forearmed is forewarned. .. I can see I will be traipsing round cemeteries and the like - might even meet one of their descendants. ... One brick wall down for the kids. Jood

good afternoon Lost our Bocci doubles match ( thank the Lord or would I have had to play again) my normally staunch partner let me down was not playing to his normal standard that has him in the men's grand final ohh so sad LOL Laurie congratulations to Colleen and Glen on the arrival of Sarah Louise she is a lucky little girl to have such a nice grand auntie, that song keeps coming into my head now' Lilly the pink the pink the pink' I bet she is going to be one spoilt little girl pickles plse asap . Give her a cuddle for me ohhh getting all clucky here. Cilla we will have a barbecue at our caravan park thanks when we get there not in your back yard pmsl gosh can you imagine if I saw a dirty big snake I would B****Y well faint or have a heart attack. Up here they sell snake proof fencing don't they have it in Mackay they should have and it would be nice to get some before we get there don't want your bridesmaid having a heart attack LOL Sitting here waiting for Cassie's and Jas's mediation hearing to finish, the builders have admitted liability for everything that is wrong with the house except the floor although Cas and Jas have a letter from Queensland timber, and the guy who did the overlay, and the engineer to say floor needs to be all ripped up as the movement of the whole house and the fact it was not put in correctly in the first place have caused the squeekiness and house to sway and the kitchen to move away from wall so are still argueing over that part of it please God let it be over soon I can't cope with this anymore or poor kids being so stressed when they don't deserve it they have payed out $15,000 in legal fees so far and it will cost at least $85,000 to their get house fixed.any way please say one for them and me too. Hz Settle Petal, you were so lucky car never flipped around into you. Just imagine though what it was like that feeling like its in slow motion and also that you can't get away either but thank heaven it didn't hit you too. Congratulation to DD and maybe one day see her name in lights eh Keep the slow steady rain going and maybe we can expect then the Yarrawonga area to be nice and green when we get home. Mary you just seem so happy there that's great hope you get your swim into day and enjoy it. Tassy sorry you have to do yukky moving but it will be great for the girls for sure just getting to the age where the like their privacy and their own space and the house sounds good that it will be warm what about cooling got that too heading into summer? Will you taking the letter box with you LOL Vonny in March I will sitting in the pool waiting waiting for you and John to come down from Corowa and spend the night with us and then get into the boat whenever and we will help you get back into the Murray by carrying boat from the weir wall to the river again . Also hope you got your planner want one for myself but I guess you want to write like a diary each day EG.'We are spending some time at the lovely SKINNY LARA'S and she is looking good and Mike well he is the same etc etc . so you will need more space on each page than I would. Thank heaven for little girls for little girls get bigger every day! Thank heaven for little girls they grow up in the most delightful way! Those little eyes so helpless and appealing one day will flash and send you crashin' thru the ceilin' Thank heaven for little girls thank heaven for them all, no matter where no matter who for without them, what would little boys do? Thank heaven... thank heaven... Thank heaven for little girls! Congratulation to the now very proud parents. and to Laurie and Ray. People used to say to me ( having 5 daughters ) did i regret not having a son. This used to really pisssss- sistantly..... me right orf. Comments like... your not a man till you have a son,the male determines the sex, ect, ect, ect It was always the males saying this that had sons, and i used to return their comment with: Do you love your wife/girlfriend? Is she sexy? Does she cook you dinner? Does she clean your house? Does she Iron your clothes? Does she look after you when your sick? ( man flu ) Then if its the male that determines the sex,you should be kissing my feet with gratitude....lol A little story. In the 70s at a dinner party at my home,my then naive 26 year old younger brother made a bad mistake by saying to my wife Carolyn ( who was a very quite reserved woman, normally ) His comment to her at the dinner table was: If it wasnt for us blokes, you females couldnt have babies.......Baaaaad mistake..lol She said nothing ( silence )......but got up from the table, went to the cupboard, got out an empty jar......shoved it in his hand....looked him straight in the eye, and said. Here....go into the toilet.....take out ya jigger..... and make me a baby....LOL I nearly keeled over with laughter, and he never ever spoke like that again to her. Thought i would share that with you.......:>))) Hope everyone had a good day. Tony Oz..:>)) Time for a tablet...( doctors orders )
