Golly, daughter just informed me about the news on Steve Irwin. How tragic for his young family. Thanks for the Mudgee info Lew Lew. Donna, sorry that the team didn't win - glad the coach decided to celebrate anyway - what a good call. Well done to your son. ~~~~~~~~Vonny

Hi, how terribly sad, I have just read about Steve irwin. Stung in the heart by a sting ray. Well, if he had to die so young I think he would have chosen to do so, doing something he loved. No consolation to his family though On that sad note I must leave you all for now Luv SuzyQ

So sad about Steve Irwin, I feel for his poor family, an awful thing to happen. Trifley, will you get your results today? Donna, shame your lad's team lost, no they didn't they came second. He must have been playing so well to have got that last try, what a good team member he must be, not to have given up, well done to him! Hang in there with your other boy, that car will be a great incentive for him. Mary having had an MRI in the past myself, you probably will have to wait for John's results, fingers crossed that all is well. luv Jillx

Lew - Wattie has arrived, safe and sound - just going to introduce him to all my other bears - he certainly won't be short of company before we go away and will have plenty of tales to tell when he gets back. Donna - what a great coach - winning isn't all - it's how you play the game and they made it to the Grand Final and most of us can never say we've done that - congrats to Zack. Cheers, Gwenda

G'day waffling wattlers Sounds like a good weekend was had by all............... Trifley, how did things go today? And Mary, how is your OH ? Did the MRI show anything ? How's the back Laurie after all that cleaning. Laurie, I am happy to go anywhere tomorrow, where ever the other wattlers want to go. Jude 2, you are supposed to be spending the kid's inheritance not puting it in their bank accounts. lol Find anything at spotlight. Yes Lew, the lotto plan sounds good. And thanks in advance for the tourist brochure. Jill got to be careful with the kids on the net. Warnings on the news tonight saying pedophiles target the kids in these chat rooms. Lara where abouts do I find the tips for puta house keeping? Donna, shame Zack's team didn't win but what an achievement to reach the grand final. Gwenda, get packing. Not long to go now... Just watching Steve Irwin's last interview. He did a lot of stupid things in his life time, but also a hell of a lot of good. Its the family you have to feel sorry for. Poor little Bob is only 2.5 yrs and Bindi 8. Must go, dinner is ready, be back later Pam

I'll have to learn to knit, so that Wattie will have something warm to wear. And how are you, Trifles? Off to get some dinner. Chat later Lew Lew xxx

PS. Gwenda, I haven't forgotten about John Brook's Will. I'm actually working on it at the moment, but I think I need a couple more charddies before I can understand the blinking writing! I've worked out most of it. Luckily the legal jargon hasn't changed much since 1838, so that's how I've been able to fill in the blanks. I've got John's wife as Joanna. Is this in line with your records? Lew

You take care of yourself, Mary and don't overdo it! Anyone heard from Joodles? Gee, I managed to get Wattie a Passport, but didn't think about a ticket. Oh, that's right, he booked on the Net, so he's travelling on an e-ticket. He only needs to present his passport to get his boarding pass. Lew Lew

Good evening Wattlers Crikey . . . . I can't believe it !!! so sad for the family - and for the lost possibilities of the future - who knows what that man could have achieved if his life had been longer. How lucky are we that he promoted conservation as he did and had such an impact world wide. Well done Steve may you rest in peace, and may your little family find some comfort in the legacy you have left them. No word from our Queen on how she went today, no doubt she is celebrating good results with her family. Congrats to Zac - they must have played well all year to make it to the final, a well earned break now till next year! OK - so 11.30am at Canungra RSL tomorrow - looking forward to catching up with those that can make it. Suzy Q - you should have no problem getting into the club, if your worried wait until we get there and my old digger will see to it that you dont have any problem. I doubt they would ever turn anyone away. You will be right Gwenda - what you forget to pack you buy when you get there (by the way good jeans are heaps cheaper in USA). Ground zero was a sureal experience for me last year, first time there was on a tour bus, and I couldn't hack it at all, was angry with tour guide at his commercial attitude to it all so I went back and sat on the bus. But a few days later Ray took me back there and I was so glad to have a 'quiet' time there and reflect. It was a very emotional thing, lots of tears and you could feel the saddness. It was very calming to sit in the little chapel across the road. Enjoy it, and dont stress about the flight girl, put a smile on your dial and enjoy every minute of the experience, good or not so good - its all yours to experience! so make the most of it! I have been such a busy bee this afternoon - scrubbed all the timberwork around windows and doors. Couldn't finish off polishing old bertha because I ran out of stove black, but sure to be able to get some tomorrow at Canungra. Ray had the day working, and when he came home we had a good dose of red to celebrate him being on holidays. He is sure to tell you all tomorrow that I was too pickled to cook dinner . . . see, I am clever !!! Dinner is so much nicer when someone else cooks it !!! Lew, Joodles told us that she wont be online until she gets home - I have sent her an sms but no answer as yet. Seeing as how I had dinner cooked for me I guess I should go make the lovely Ray a cuppa so catch you all later Cheers luv Laurie

In a crowded city at a busy bus stop, a beautiful young woman wearing a tight mini skirt was waiting for a bus. As the bus stopped and it was her turn to get on, she became aware that her skirt was too tight to allow her leg to come up to the height of the first step of the bus. Slightly embarrassed and with a quick smile to the bus driver, she reached behind her to unzip her skirt a little, thinking that this would give her enough slack to raise her leg. She tried to take the step, only to discover that she couldn't. So, a little more embarrassed, she once again reached behind her to unzip her skirt a little more, and for the second time attempted the step. Once again, much to her chagrin, she could not raise her leg. With a little smile to the driver, she again reached behind to unzip a little more and again was unable to take the step. About this time, a large Texan who was standing behind her picked her up easily by the waist and placed her gently on the step of the bus. She went ballistic and turned to the would-be Samaritan and yelled, 'How dare you touch me! I don't even know who you are!' The Texan smiled and drawled, 'Well, ma'am, normally I would agree with you, but after you unzipped my fly three times, I kinda figured we was friends.'
