I see Wattie did his bit for us again - sorry he'll be away for 3 weeks so it's up to someone else to fill the coffers Lyn - we are staying at American Dream Hostel at 168 East 24th Street so hope it is okay. It's not where dtr stayed last time as that one moved out of the downtown area. Mary - we leave around 2.20pm - hope weather is better than when Dave flew in & out on Thursday. Gotta dash - hope I've packed everything - keep thinking I'm going to forget something - usually do - just so long as its not the passport, money. Haven't forgotten Wattie either. Catch up from NY luv Gwenda xx

Evening Wattlers From a very tired and worn out body. Trifley I should have taken you up on the offer of a lend of Trifley and his brothers. One question do they mind finding half a cooked rodents behind stoves ????? Yuck we found 2 heads, but no bodies, told you they must have been pigs. Anyway we have cleaned the kitchen completely including stove and cupboards, bathroom and toilet, had too so we could use it another yuck. We only have the passage a bit of my bedroom and cleaning curtains and carpet, give the stove another go over, then we can start moving stuff in, At least our spring cleaning is done for the year :-) Anyway our landlord came out and helped and had a look to see what else may need fixing and told us not to worry about any rent next week as we shouldnt have had to do the cleaning, but as I said to him I suppose because they didnt have to rely on getting bond back they just picked up the furniture and belongings and left. Good on Watty for another win in Tatts. Maybe went the big one is on next week or one after he will have a bigger win with the left over winnings from last week. Mel welcome to the Wattlers, as others have said this is the best place to be on this site, unless you are doing FH work lol. I had better check on girls to see if they have fallen asleep in the lounge, they also helped today and did their own bedrooms. Not sure if I mentioned earlier, but they are off to Melbourne on Tuesday as their Dad decided to move to Melbourne permanently and so he paid for themone way to visit himfor the holidays, which started here yesterday, we paid for their return the following week on Thursday morning and Davids 3 arrived here the same Thursday night, so we get a weeks break to get everything sorted out in the house before we ge invaded with kids. Well I am going to immerse myself into another can of Woody and see who will win tonight, Sydney had better watch theirselves or they might loose. Fingers Crossed for Mary. Also good luck to Tony and Lara for tomorrow. Cheers Sue

Good evening Waffling Wattlers Well done to the little bear . . . he sure is a lucky fella !! We have had a lovely night, friends Chris & Sue came over for a barbie . . just like old times !!! Chris brought over your bamboo Trifley, so will drop it in to you Monday morning, I dont think anyone spilled any wine on it . . . The house is feeling all fresh and clean, must be a bit like your new place Sue, wears the stuffing out of you doing it - but nice feeling when it is all done. Ray has just told me that moving back home is looking good . . I have a big smile on the dial !!! I wouldn't be able to make it to lunch on Wednesday Shaz - but Thursday or Friday would be great for me. Have a good flight Gwenda if you happen to pop back . . . Night all sweet dreams luv Laurie

Evening all, very nice evening with cousin and her hubby I see that Wattie is after my crown of most Wattle wins on Lotto :) Now we are even. Jood, I didn't keep a check on how much money. The first win was $28.50 I think and the second one was $21 and some cents, maybe 30c I don't think we can start up our own bank yet!!! Hi Mary and Lyn, we used to have the doona fight in our household but menopause cured me, and now I fling it off over his side LOL Well, the last plank is FINISHED :) Just the gunwhale to rivet and then comes the filling and sanding and staining the new boards and coating with everdure and umteen coats of varnish and THEN he can turn the boat over and restore the inside!!!!!!! Bout December or January I recon it might get in the water. ~~~~~~~~~to all. Vonny I am keeping the weekender option open cause the Success board hasn't been/isn't a pretty place and things might go pear-shaped again next Monday morning :(

Good evening all lovely wattlers. I've had a lazy day, courtesy of rotten weather. Heaps of rain has fallen down here, the rain gauge has 'bolted?' Watched the last 2 Dr Who episodes. Thought i might go to the club and watch Possum play again, but changed my mind in favour of dressing gown, slippies and blanket. Do you all feel a lttle reserved, or is it just me who feels that way? sleep tight dear friends, lots of love from Yvette

I wont even look at the message boards - I had a peek and saw that some of them are still carrying on - so I was outa there. Vonny I just thought statistically wise it might have been a good idea to keep a check of date and who and how much we had won - just as a matter of interest ................... and I thought the boat was almost in the water after the last plank :( I'm for bed Jood

Lyn Report 9 Sep 2006 13:03

Shaz - As I am tied up with court next Thursday, I could only make it on Wednesday or Friday and I see that Laurie is not available on Wednesday. I might be abe to get half day next Fri. That way I could get out to Mulgoa with you lovely ladies. Jood - Yes we have the Q size bed too and I even bought one of those Venus and Mars doonas with extra warmth on the girlie side. But still need another 2 doonas as you have to remember I am now in the coldest house in the whole of Oz. We joke that it would probably pay us to put our bed out in the middle of the rear lawn. It has to warmer out there than in our bedroom. Trifley - do I hear you talking egyptian cotton and thread counts? I love nice sheets, more threads the better I say! Gosh we seem to all be talking bedding, fires, warmth tonight, must be the result of all this cold wet weather in and around Sydney. Just watching Parkinson interviewing Paul Anka - he (paul) looks like he's had a few face lifts, that face is way too tight for an oldie! Must fly as I am supposed to be researching shares for my share club meeting tomorrow morning. Lyn

Oh Drat !!!! reading all this talk of cold and rainy weather around Sydney . . . I dont want to go back to that thanks, can't you offer anything any better . . . I am used to nice sunny days now !!! Today I was working in shorts and tank top, even got a bit pink around the face (yes I slipped slopped etc. . .) here it is nearly 10.30pm and I am sitting here with doors wide open, and just have on jeans and a short sleeved shirt !!! Trifley & Lyn, re the cotton sheets . . I have 6 sets of white cotton sheets that were in my auntys glory box circa 1940. They are wonderful to sleep in. Taking my cuppa outside to look at the stars . . cheers luv Laurie
