Why is it that when I see you post JulieCatz, I immediately go and check the message number - am I suspicious or what? .. lol I beg to differ Vonny - might be late posting, but been up since 6.00am (tho Shazz has probably been up since 3 or 4). .. tee hee .. I've just been busy printing out 22 pages of family history on my daughter's grandmothers side (the adopted one) woo hoo - Lady from Perth sent it all over. I think I'm gonna have to meet this lady when I go there at Xmas time. What channel is the memorial on this morning - can skp tell me? Shazz - I am out every day (well, Thursday I have to babysit) - but I will be in Leura at lunch time Friday if you wanna drive over???? .. It's ok if you don't, as its a fair hike. Did my aquarobics yesterday and going for another class today (how long will this last, I ask myself) Its not my nature to be good all of the time, only some of the time :( Shower time, brekky time, bitta housework, then watch some of the memorial before I have to dash out. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ to all, have a great day. Just post this extra info for you Shazz :) Great Great grandma, Mary Chilvers was born C1817 at either Parramatta or Tasmania and probably illigitimate.(Mum was a convict called Mary Smith!!) Ended up in Parramatta orphanage in 1826. Was sent to Elderslie when 12 years old (so roughly 1829). The landowner then was a John Hawdon. Mary married John Hall in 1839 and went on to be a model wife with 11 kids!! She died in 1910. I have a great admiration for her. Such a difficult and rocky start but she more than survived and overcame all obstacles!! Imagine the changes you would see in that time span. My grandma (1883 - 1977) knew Mary. My cousin remembers grandma talking about her. Brings the past upclose and personal doesn't it? Almost the entire 200 years of Aust history in two peoples lives. ~~~~~~~~~ to Catz and Jood |

Morning All Well we had a lovely drop of rain last night and it is now a beautiful sunny day. We are still waiting for broadband to be connected, have finally sorted out the problems, dodo had davids birth date down for my details as phone is in my name Grrrrrrr morons, anyway they said they would get it connected asap mmmmm we will wait and see. I could have really done with a bit of wattler cheering up last night but I had to leave phone line free, I got a message from the girls father saying he has just taken Tamika to the hospital and she suddenly became very ill and he would ring when he found out what was wrong. Well you could imagine how on edge was as they are due to fly home in the morning, well I waited a couple of hours then rang the hospital, they had taken blood tests and think it is migrane headache, she has never suffered from them before, but they didnt think that she would stay in hospital overnight so she should be ok to come home in morning. I have to ring their father at 9.00 this morning for an udate so fingers crossed please. Yvette, my footy wall says up year round, as it is footys over this year for my team :-(( Trifley loved the email 'birdies' haaa haaa Hope you are feeling ok (((( hugs)))) coming your way. I forgot to mention yesterday, if you didnt get the picks of my wall and would like them let me know and I will forward them. I just couldnt remember who's mail box was full and who was having troub with puta etc etc. Well must go as I have to have breakky before I ring to find out about tamika, and then a bit of shopping and back to old house for final trip Yipee!!!!!!! Cheers Sue |

Morning All, I'm up early! Bit cooler here this morning and we've had a couple of pathetic little showers! Might be a tad chilly for a swim, but it might be better this afternoon. Going out to lunch with a couple of friends. We're going to High Valley Cheeses. They make the best feta, mmmmmmm Sounds like you had a big day Trifles. Don't overdo it! My Antactic Travel Companion is currently in Thailand with his boyfriend. Better put a call through to make sure is not caught up in any coup!!! Now, you lot, are you inferring that I'm not the full quid???? LOL. Nutty is Nice! Well, I'm away to get some brekky. Cheese on toast me thinks. ~~~waves to all~~~ Lew Lew xxx |

Yes, from me too Tassy, let us all know about Tamika. .. I can well imagine how worried you must be. Poor Jood, she is due out in 20 minutes, and doesn't know how to set up the b****** tv to record the Memorial Service. ... She who prides herself on knowing a lot about computers cannot even master recording .. Now you lot!!!!!!!!!!! - I could do it on the TV & Video before I moved up the mountains, but bought a user friendly video (ho ho) - and just can't do it - flicking from one remote to the other. ******** thing. .. I asked my daughter if she would record it, she said she'd try, if she could find a video :( I guess in a way it might be an idea that I don't watch it - as I will start bawling as soon as the ceremony starts, and then will have to apply makeup again (what little I wear). .. I really shouldn't be here :( As I said before, have a great day. Jood |

Crikey, I'm, glad I didn't miss it. It actually inspired me to write a letter to Sunrise. Hope you don't mind if I share it with you Dear Mel and Kochie, Wouldn't the world be a better place if we could all walk in Steve Irwin's boots for just one day. He is a man ( sorry but I still think he is with us ) who 'put's his money were is mouth is', yes he probably earned big, but for a purpose, not for million dollar wages, mansions and luxury cars, but for conservation. His passion. If we all walked in his boots, there would be no wars, the money would be spent on peace, not power. Large corporate bosses would care more for their workers and customers than a bigger bottom line. Religion would be to celebrate our world , our being. Maybe it isn't just the wild life we need to conserve, maybe it is also the Australian way of life, or the American way or the European way, where ever you may live. Perhaps it is time to look at the big picture, look to Steve's inspiration, and deal with the important issues of life. Our animals, our plants, our earth, and most importantly, our families. Lets do it now before it's too late, like Steve, lets start doing instead of talking about doing. A Sunrise family member Tassie, I hope Tamika is okay and on her way home for you to look after her. Donna, hope your results are good. Jood have a good day but please take some time to smell the flowers. Every one else have a great day. Isn't it great that we are now back to normal, or our normal. Luv SuzyQ |

Afternoon Wattlers, Welcome back Tony, aren't you lucky to have a new wizz bang machine. Think I popped one too many of Dr Lews pills yesterday. The sinus is a lot better today but I'm sooo dry and still a bit vague. I saw the start of the Steve Irwin service this morning and it is to be repeated this arvo at 4 for anyone who missed it. Very emotional, but just the right thing for the man that he was. Have a good day everyone Flakey |
