Good Morning Wattlers, Going to be warmer today, went to the physical jerks yesterday and then later in the arvo decided to go for a power walk, by the time dancing came on I was falling asleep in the chair, watched the first 30mins and the last 30mins I'm with you ducky can't stand Daryl Summers, he's such a fool, can't they do better. Staying at Riverside apartments. Just got the one commitment of the fundraising dinner on the Sat night, so who is up for a mini meet ?? Morning all, yes Anna, I've been around since 6.00am lurking. Ooooh Lew, when you told me about your foot, it hurt me too :( .. Hope it gets better without hydroponics. Still cardigan weather, sky is a bit bluer, but sun out of sight somewhere. .. Might get warmer later today. On my way home last night - I could smell the smoke of wood fires in the home. .. I bet people weren't expecting to have to light fires at this time of the year. And Princess DI(y) - Dreadful accident down in Victoria (Donald) - this is the sort of thing that bothers me when I do the long drive down to Bendigo. (Careless driving) .. But I'll be ok. Good Morning Wattlers Yous all thought I had absconded with all the winnings didn't cha - believe me I couldn't eat $41.45 worth of assorted chocs. Got Joods message about Lotto, was so tired when I checked ticket I thought we hadn't won anything. Then had to hunt for the ticket - its ok its safe and sound. I now know how to make it rain in Melbin - say we are going to paint the roof - sunday was a total wash out - so I painted to my hearts content feet firmly on the ground. Thank you for your concerns wondering where I was. One has to work up to the feeling of terror being 1 1/2 stories high. I figured out why its called vertigo - its stands for vere did de steps go! Got up the ladder ok - now picture this, the roof is shaped like a M (but flattened a bit - indulge me here) my lubberly OH said very generously I could paint the inside of the valley - he had made a roof ladder so he would do the manly thing and paint the outside bits. Well now you have jude in her paintin clothes (not a pretty sight) with a rather large straw hat tied on with a gaudy scarf holding on to the top of the 'M' with one hand, which was also holding the paint can, Both legs at full stretch trying to anchor her feet on the roof screws (after being told this is the safest place to have them otherwise you'll wreck the roof!) By the way wasn't 'warm' enough to paint until about 2.00pm so it was getting a tad hot on a metal roof about now, do you know its hard to do the splits for 2 hours while your knees are knocking like castanets. I was painting away quite unhappily when this voice says 'are you having fun?' Kens 61 yr old auntie had climbed up on the roof to see how we were going! I thought - great time for a cuppa, any excuse was a good one! Got to the ladder and froze I was shaking so much I had to sit down or I was going to get to ground level in a hurry. Took me about 15 mins before I could get down, mind you I had to swing out over mid air to able to get onto the ladder. His auntie had to help me down both p****** ourselves laughing. Sooo looking forward to doing it again next weekend, we only did the rustproofing last weekend. And for the last two days have been feeling muscles I never knew I had! Lew Bunnings mmmmmm my favourite retail therapy store! Count us in for the boozy bus trip. Received the Mudgee brochure - ta muchly. Flakey pmsl at the roof fiasco - I have great affinity with roofs.lol Congratulations on admittance to the Royal Family Laurie, is Prince Ray impressed, would love to meet you and Ray in October for a mini meet, along with Tony, Sarah and Flakey & Roy check your diary Flakey and anyone else - Lara should be home by then. Jood have to agree with about Bert Newton - he looks like a computer generated image - he reminds me of the film Shrek for some reason. Heard from our DD, her and Chris are in Broome, not quite what they expected - comment was 'its not like Port Douglas Mum' - pmsl - I was waiting for it - we have been there its just very different - not at all tropical. Chris was fishing from the beach and got such a fright - he packed up and went back to the caravan park - 4 guys walking along nude! pmsl. He didn't know it was a nudist beach. Well I must away, have to go back to the kitchen makers been waiting 3 weeks for a cutlery draw insert. Morning all. Lovely day today and back into summer clobber.. Better do some H k today as the family arrive on Sat. OH is out to the quack again this morning,, I think he spends more time there than we care for. It looks like more MRI's comming up..He is in a fair bit of pain and we cant go on holidays until they fix him up..I would give my right arm to get away but as I do most of the driving I will need it so cant do that.It has been so long now and we both need a break but he would not enjoy it in pain..so heres hoping they find the root of the trouble SOON,,,my get up and go is finding it hard to get up never mind go... Vonny. Hope the bub comes soon and everything goes well for your daughter. Well better go and do some sork , so back later.. Love Mary xxxx

Hello everybody, Have a free day today so thought I would pop in and try to catch up with all the doings, D and boyfriend who are out here on holiday from UK have gone up to Noosa for the day tomorrow they go to NSW and are staying there till Sunday, we go down Saturday and join them for D's friends wedding. Monday we plan to go to O'Riley's,( I'll wave as we go pass SuzyQ ), and on Tuesday they go home, the time has flown pass, it's been lovely having her home and her boyfriend is gorgeous too, he has fitted in with our family so well I feel as if I've known him for years. Still trying to find a house for other D to rent, she is lving with us and the children are with their father at other G.parents house, not a good situation but it should'nt be for much longer. I still have the dreaded rash but it's begining to fade, at least it's stoped itching all over I just get little outbreaks now and again. I've wondered if it wasn't stress related and nothing to do with that mosturiser. Well thats enough about me. Mary I hope they can help your oh, when pain goes on too long it can become depressing, I wish him well. Trifley sorry I missed meeting up with you and Lyn, did you have a nice long chat? No Joodles . . . I been there done that . . . got the teeshirt and the stories!! Reno job on an old Qld'er in Rocky . . then as if we didn't have enough disasters the first round, we went owner builder for a second series! Most I will do any more is climb out the dormer window and stand on the verandah roof to paint the window trim!! (besides our roof is 45 deg pitch) Actually having a devil of a time trying to find a painter who will paint the dormers for me before the new roof goes on - and my hubby is connected to the painting industy! (Maybe I can get Jude and Ken up for a wee break in the sunshine state teehee) Luv Laurie
