I was serious Anna .. :( .. When I grew up and AFL was played, the teams were called by their town - and because I dont follow League football, I don't know which team the Bronco's (well I do, Brisbane) - is that right .. oops? and now you say Storm, that's Sydney - .... I'm guessing now - the eels are Parramatta, Penrith Panthers (coz I live near there) - there are Bulldogs and one team has a chook (rooster) - oh there's St George I remember (they must be lions, but I dont think so). Won't say any more coz you'll all laugh at me .. lol <creeps in with an embarrassed look - St George Dragons - now where did I get lions from .. pmsl> Mel where are you???????? .. I finished off the other half of the King Island Dairy Creme dessert chocolate - ohhhhhhhhhhhh to die for. .. Finished it off with my fingers, to get in all the nooks and crannies. .. Can't wait to buy some more - its exquisite. .. How do you hide it in the fridge away from the family, or do you have another fridge in the laundry?? hello wattlers. its a fabulous day, even better now the tourist crowd is starting to die off. we close the front door to it so the doggies don't run in and out barking at motor bikes, other pooches and small boys. had my head in the 'puter most of the morning with a break for a walk and to make chocolate patty cakes. a bit of social interaction with the boys + girlfriend - thats about it. i can't wait to see the boat and the baby. i would be absolutely tickled if 3 firies where to turn muy mattress. Poss. will be playing dressing up if he read this. love Yvette x

She sent me a marriage cert.Elizabeth mary READDING widow lately GRIEVES.who married a SMITH..One Witness was a James GREAVES....but wasnt sure if her G.G was born a READDING or GRIEVES/GREAVES....but was born 1852 ( according to marriage cert.in N.S.W ( and thats only if she wasnt telling porky's about her age ) Found the 2nd marriage Elizabeth mary READDING to a SMITH so knowing she was a Widow when marrying...this could be 1st marriage Surname or birth Surname depending on what surname she used when marrying, as many women reverted back to there maiden name sometimes, to a 2nd marriage.... But.... also, in some cases many family members were witnesses to a Kin marriage...... hence James GREAVES. So now we look for a marriage GRIEVES/GREAVES to a READDING.( cant find ).....and then find Elizabeth mary GRIEVE to REDDING. Now we have a reasonable surname. ( first marriage ) So we find a birth. Elizabeth mary GRIEVE b.1852 ...N.S.W and a possible sibling of Elizabeth's......James GRIEVE........( hence marriage cert witness James GREAVES......phew......lol So we got: READDING REDDING GREAVES GRIEVES GRIEVE Dont ya love Family History.....lol..........i do. Flakey I had a nice clean bed last night too, but no lecky blanket, no doona, no undercover, no magnetic thingy, just a light comforta and a thermal blankee .. wazza bit chilly, but I survived. .. Took me ages to put all the thingies back on the bed after they had dried in the sun. .. Whew. At least I'll have a lecky blanket tonight if it gets cold again. Still laughing about one Jude up on the roof and the other Jude having roof problems - I guess I could be included as my smoke detectors are flat. Jood

Afternoon Wattlers Well we wented up having a proprer Garage Sale, it started out just pulling out a couple of items that we had a person coming around to look at, then we decided what the heck we will put up signs and see what happens, well we had a few lookers one might be interested and was going to tell wife and the one that we was waiting to come didnt show up. But not to worry it was nice sitting out in the sun. Suzy yes I could take daylight saving all year round, I do feel sorry for you wanting it and being in a state that doesnt have it cause it will fade curtains, lol cows wont know when to come to be milked, hee hee, and kids cant get to sleep, well...... Firstly as you would probably be aware you still get the same amount of daylight just it gets darker an hour later, so it wont fade curtains any more. My Nan and Pop had a farm that milked cows and I never heard them complain, maybe they just milked them an hour later, that way for a few months they got to lay in just a bit. As for kids getting to sleep well ours soon get used to it and as you said get darker curtains. No I am not having a go at you Suzy as you would like it but when I hear these silly reasons I have to scratch my head and think what the ????? Ok I'll get off my soap box now and cook some savoury mince for tea. Cheers Sue

Goodafternoon Wattlers, Well I`ve had a lovely afternoon with Lara & Billy. Lara has shown me all the hard work she has been doing with her family tree, and I think I have seen a photo of all of you now, except Tony!!!! he was hiding somewhere in the background in the dark at Lara,s. Maybe he was taking one of his VBs or maybe he was just on the computer!! Anyway I enjoyed meeting her she is a lovely lady. Billy, well he was happy to have a biscuit & a snooze, but when he was ready for home he let us know. Lara is still having trouble with her computer, just dropping out, so we might not hear much from her till she gets home. Cheers Pat Q-land.

Hello Wattlers, to those that asked ,yes it was wonderful to be back in our own bed again, more room amd OH didn't crash into the wall every time he turned...lol Beautiful sunny day today. Didnt do alot but sat in the sun and read for a while. Have made individual pies for tea tonight with stewed apple and icecream to follow...yum Both daughters reported in today. Kate has booked to go to Iceland in Nov before she comes home and Jess is going to Scotland with the girls she has met on her Contiki tour before she comes back. Boy I wish I could have done all that travelling when I was younger. But in those days you got married and had kids. I still intend to do the travelling, I just wont have as much energy as they do. Have to run next door and drag OH home for dinner, he has been having a mens bonding arvo.....any excuse ....lol ~~~~~Flakey

Well this game of Rugby whatever it is - is about to start soon. .. I think I'll go for Melbourne (is that Broncos or - what was the other one?) <ducking from flying saucepans> - no - it's Brisbane Broncos and Melbourne - oh - yeah, Storm (I remember Lew going on about it). Just shed my first tears, for little Sophie walking across the field. .. She is such an inspiration. Up the storms (is that right??) I just noticed a fly upstairs here. .. How the hell do they know I am here???? .. Of course the fly spray is downstairs .. :( Wheeeee I just had a glass (a big one) of cream sherry ............. Might even get another. Jood
