~~~~Joy !! G’Mornin’ Tass, Shazz, another beeeuwdiful dawn here. Vonny hope John got through the night OK, he can still have antivenom today to mop up the toxins if he’s very symptomatic. Don’t want him to be sick for weeks. Hi to Roz and Blue, haven’t met you before, I’m not one of the mad ones on here, just one of the lost and aimless, seeking direction. I seem to be led astray from time to time….lol. For example last night I was led to the Baileys bottle, hadn’t had one for years but somepeeps mentioned Baileys and, well, I really did enjoy a nip or three. Yesterday I was rebinding a blanket, so spread out all over lounge room floor cutting strips and pinning etc. Also had to get sewing machine going again, bobbin rewinder wouldn’t move but I fixed it (all by myself!) too. So feeling very pleased as I have been wanting to do this all winter, watching the old binding get more unravelled each week (loved to death really!). DD15 will be pleased too, she loves “blankies” with silky edges lol. Jilly, so glad your daughter found somewhere to rent, it has been a bit of an issue lately finding accommodation in various parts of Oz. Lara you have done a marathon effort to read all the pages for the last week or so! Glad you’re back in touch! We had 27 here yesterday, it’s still cool overnight though. No rain. Tokyo is 18 overnight and 21 daytime and raining!! No more word from DD but I didn’t expect it. It is very quiet here at night with her away, and the fridge door stays closed! Have a good day everyone, I have a busy day ahead with end of month accounting to do and school holidays both NSW and Vic will mean busy shops too. Ooo Roooo ~~~ Hz
Good early morning Wattlers Up at 4 to get the kids to the airport by 5 (Thank goodness for only living 10mins from the airport) TLR took up the chance of an early start to get in and make sure there was ample supply of Broncomania around the office before he drives down to Canberra for a meeting. I thought about going back to bed - but the lure of the washing machine and the pile of dirty linen won. Vonny, hope John didn't have a reaction to the redback. Fair bit of cloud cover this morning, sun trying hard to drench the new day, at least the wind has died down. There are only two giraffes with their heads high, and the airport is extremely busy - planes coming and going - seems to be more than normal (maybe the after effect of the long weekend). Talking of giraffes . . Glen and Narelle went to Taronga Zoo yesterday, and had their photo taken feeding the giraffes, lots of slobbering going on . . they had so many photos of their weekend in Sydney, first time Narelle had been here, I did them an album on cd before I went to bed last night, really pleased with the result. Must go finish the dreaded . . . hope you all have a wonderful day. luv Laurie
Yes, Im here Anna, albeit later than usual. Was late getting to bed, trying to fix up stupid programs and waiting for advice from software manufacturers - sooo time consuming. Funnily enough they are both anti virus programs (on 2 diff. computers) - and NO!!! - NOT NORTONS. ps Anna - you did very well without your glasses! No sun here either Laurie. I thought Ray was taking lots of medicine with him when you mentioned Broncomania - hahaha - well, I AM blonde and I don't know the teams (stupid names they have for them too) .. lol Poor Roz, what an introduction she had - hope you aren't frightened off Roz. I must have missed the message that Jill's dd had found a place to live, I was sure they were still looking for somewhere. Your dd will be on such a high when she gets back from Japan Hz!!!! .. I bet she will want to go back again when she's older. Still cold here in the mountains, not a patch of blue sky - just whitish. Whether that means rain, who knows. Have a great day all Jood
Morning all, John is still with us :) and he even managed to sleep. I don't think he was envenomed enough to have a major reaction. He's gone to work cause he has a major presentation to do today at a Forum but I told him not to push himself too much!! (will he take any notice? I doubt it!!!) His arm is very sore and red to near the elbow but no further - some loss of mucsle tone in thumb and forearm. He has Months of sick leave accrued because he never takes it. MEN!!!! Laurie, that must have been a horrific time for you when you got bitten. Especially as they now say none of that treatment does any good!!! Roz - they are ALL insane on this thread, even me!! pmsl. Lovely to have you join. hee hee Tony. Pity about your personality disorder :) But we loves all 5 of ya anyway :) Teaching today, then I think I'll garden when I come home. ~~~~~~~~~~~ Vonny
What a motivational lot you are!!!! .. I have been on the phone for ages, making calls - one was getting quotes to have a doona drycleaned - would you believe quotes $45, $42.00, $39.60, $38.75, $32.00 & $25.00 - hard to believe, isn't it? Anyway, you have inspired me to .............. well ... do something - haven't decided what yet! The sun still forgot to turn up - it's not even hiding behind a cloud, the sky is still a whitish grey, and not a breath of a wind. Vonny - typical male, stubborn when it comes to seeing a Dr. And it's usually for their own good. Donna - I guess we forgot you were away on hols, even tho you kept reminding us. .. Good to hear from you again. Ho Ho away I go to .................. do something ?? Jood
Afternoon Wattlers Welcome to the nut house Roz. Well we have hit the 20's yipee it is now 20 degrees outside and I dont care if it dont get any hotter this year, I like it just as it is at the moment, blue sky and not too hot. Have to go and meet the girls after school as Tamika has a job interview tomorrow afternoon and he wants new trousers and a nice white shirt. It is for casual work at Kmart so fingers crossed and hopefully she get through the interview ok, she is normally very shy and quiet when around strangers as I said to her she will need to speak up and not mumble when asked questions, it is a group interview so hopefully the others will be just as shy. ~~~~~~ to all~~~~~~~ Cheers Sue
