A SENIOR MOMENT A very self-important college freshman attending a recent football game, took it upon himself to explain to a senior citizen sitting next to him why it was impossible for the older generation to understand his generation. 'You grew up in a different world, actually an almost primitive one,' the student said, loud enough for many of those nearby to hear. 'The young people of today grew up with television, jet planes, space travel, man walking on the moon, our spaceships have visited Mars. We have nuclear energy, electric and hydrogen cars, computers with light-speed processing and...,' pausing to take another drink of beer. The Senior took advantage of the break in the student's litany and said, 'You're right, son. We didn't have those things when we were young........so we invented them. Now, you arrogant little fart, what are you doing for the next generation?' The applause was resounding.. I love senior citizens!!! Dont ya love it? Jood

Morning Wattlers Another beautiful day today. Sorry I missed all the fun of our Pink day yesterday, wasnt feeling the best, with these teeth it was making my head ache, and I wasnt in the best of moods, as my girls said dont be grumpy Mum, lol, have to go to hospital tomorrow for pre surgery appointment, also found out yesterday that my Nan has to go to hospital to have gal stones removed and her date is the same day as me so we will at least have someone to talk to while we wait to go for our ops. Ok laugh of the day!!!!! The things children say ............ Dannielle was outside getting the clothes off the line for me yesterday afternoon when she came inside all excited that she had just had a V8 bee go straight past her :-)))))))))))))) I had to laugh and she took me outside to show me and I had to tell her it was a Bumble Bee not a V8 bee pmsl, she said well it was noisey enough to be a V8 bee Thanks for all the good wishes for Tamika and her interview today, I will let you know how she got on. ~~~~~ to all ~~~~~ Cheers Sue

Poor Tassie (((HUGS))) and fingers crossed for Tamika. I like that - V8 bees :) (they are noisy!!!) Bike has arrived - bright Blue. Son will be sooooo pleased. I guess mother's can only pray for safety! - he is 32 after all :) and it does make sense to have cheaper transport as they are on shift work and often need two modes of transport to come and go at different times. Now other son and son in Law want one then all 4 of them will have bikes to play with :(

Hi Mary Yes teeth are more trouble than they are worth, Im not too bad today, but we will she how it pans out over the day. Only got to wait til 17th and they will be gone. A V8 Bee is what most people would call a Bumble Bee, big with a yellow stripe going across their back. It has only been over the last couple of years we have seen them here, and with Dannielle not seeing one before that is her thought of them, as they are big and noisy like a V8 car lol. They love my PINK flowers I have near the clothes line, so he must have known it was a pink day yesterday. I will try and get a pic of one and send to you. Cheers Sue

Good Morning All, Hope your all enjoying the 4th October, 2006 . . . . remember only one of these . . EVER !! A beautiful day on Botany Bay, lovely sun bath, with a few fluffy white clouds in the sky. There are only two of the smaller giraffe with their necks stretched into the heavens, so things must be busy on the docks. I can see new giraffe being installed - they look like they are going to be enormous! Lots of prayers please for some rain out west NSW . . . if they dont get some rain this week out on the farm - then they wont even get enough from their crop to use as seed for next season. 6th year of drought for the area, longer for those a little further west, and in other parts of the country. The flow on effect (ie frayed nerves, shattered dreams - SURVIVAL) can be devestating. All this talk of motorcycles . . . love riding them - hate Ray or the boys doing the same! I grew up riding them to muster stock, (mind you they were a lot smaller than some around today, though probably not lighter than most). Glen still has his - sod said he was going to sell when he moved into his house, fortunately he doesn't use it much. Ray got rid of his - way back, personal experiences tend to be great motivators. Gee its nice to have you back Sue, you have been missed, . . . Will Tamika be home before the interview ?? Or going straight from school ?? If your seeing her tell her from me . . . Everyone in the group interview will be nervous, but try not to worry about them, they will be alright, just be herself and maybe a little of her positive energy will help the others too. OHH Yeah !!! and Girls Rule !!! Tamika for President !!!! OHH yeah also . . . . just gave away 4 X 2 day tickets to Bathurst for next weekend . . . FORD BOX !!!! (stop throwing things you little devil)!! Well folks, Our most gracious Queen received the 'Tiara Upgrade' in the mail the other day . . . she was just so impressed, but as one would expect from such a wonderful caring leader - she felt sorry for all the poor little polyesters that had to die to make the fabulous creation! Looking most regal and bootifull . . . (even better than the standard lamp drapped in cloth I sent you before)! Tony, Jude & Jude . . . any ideas as to where or when we can catch up for a meal . . . Your town - you tell !! So looking forward to it. We arrive on the morning of the Saturday 14th, have the function that night and then nothing else planned till we leave on the Tuesday night. Staying at the Riverside Apartments near the Casino I am told. Going to be great to wander around and remember the (late)70's (shudduppayaface) !!! I finished the spreadsheets I had to do yesterday, so dont have an excuse to sit at puter on my butt today so catch up with you later Remember to have a great day . . . can't get it back for a second chance !!!! luv Laurie

Hi Wattlers, I have just read almost 12 pages and now I have to go and make lunch. Bye. Just kidding. Vonny the grand children are just so cute: Cuddle from me please. Hope John is feeling better now. Tassie, hope you feel better today and please give Tamika a good luck pat from me. Trifley, Do we have a photo of you wearing the new tarara. Just to make us all jealous. I understand it is very unique and they only ever made one. We called in at the Outpost after the docs, just for a coffee and well maybe a small slice of cake, I cannot tell a lie it was a huge piece. Anyway, the Outpost is now licenced. but it still closes at 5pm at the moment. Still got this silly cold/allergy/hatfever, I don't know which, but its a nuisance. And I have a pile of ironing, looks like they will get done as needed at the moment. Bit overcast today, I wish it would rain, like NSW the farmers have an hard enough life as it is without the drought to contend with. Sorry if I haven't mentioned everyone, the brain is a bit deader than usual. Sorry Jill, I was out when you went passed, did you have a good day at O'Rielly's. Neville has got his new hearing aid, now I have to get him to wear it. He is also much better now. Well, I really should get some lunch now, hope everyone is okay Luv SuzyQ

AAwww Laurie thats not fair, now I will just have to sit and watch V8's in my armchair, and sorry but as nice as it would be for a Holden to win in memory of Brocky. I am hoping that Lowndes wins, well he used to drive Holdens so that may count for a bit lol, if not him then another Ford driver. Yes Tamika is home, now she came home at lunch time so she could shower and take her time to get ready so she wasnt rushing around, have let her read what you all have put down and she said 'but they dont know me and they are wishing me luck' as I said that is just how nice everyone is here on this thread, they care about and support everyone, she thought that was nice and said to thank everyone. Cheers Sue

Afternoon Wattlers, Oooh Queen Trifley, your new tiara/crown is definately unique. Is it something you will wear on a daily basis or should it be kept under lock and key for special occasions? Laurie if your staying near the casino next weekend there is a great market every sunday under the bridge up from southbank and plenty of places we could sit and eat along the river. I'm free all day sunday so let me know what suits, I think you have my mobile ? ~~~~everyone ~~~~~~~~~ Flakey

Hi Guys and Gals Jood, what I really did was to delete one site off my bookmarks and add the new one. Only thing was I deleted BEFORE adding and then couldn't find the site......Durrrrr Haven't even thought of Christmas shopping.......Not Christmas eve yet is it ? lol Vonny, my son bought a bike earlier this year. Told the rest of the family at Christmas time that he was paying it off. Wasn't game to tell 'the old girl'. He knew she would freek which I did when I found out. Anyway, it needs some work done on it and it is still in a hundred pieces out the back. He doesn't have the money saved yet to do what he wants to.......... Jude love the joke you sent......LOL.....going to send it to some friends. Anna, make the most of your free puta time. Tassie, there is a drink advertised up here which is called V8 I think and has something to do with a bee ??? One of those high caffeine drinks. Oh Mary, I am still studying that same book that you are and not getting anywhere very fast. lol Sandra, I'm going for a bike ride shortly, have to go to the bank, saves on petrol and I get a bit of exercise. Will come home along the waterfront to get my daily 'water fix'. Ok Flakey, maybe next time you are up here. Sounds like a wonderful wedding atmosphere. SuzyQ was the cake really really yummy ? Queenie will be most upset you did send her a piece. Hope you and Neville are feeling a little better today...... Oh well, Jude, we can't win them all....next time maybe. Off to get some lunch and then going for that ride. Back later. ~~~~~~~ to everyone Pam

Nice peeps on these boards hey! Glad we got us, cause who needs friends like that?either any both? get that pushy out , pump up the tyres and get on it sandra (vaccuming gets off the spidey webs) You forget how pleasant a bike ride can be, quicker than walking. by golly i'm waffling. love you later Yvette x

Afternoon Wattlers, I have sent you Qld wattlers, and I have included you Laurie because your heart is here, details of the Pink Polo Picnic Day. If anyone is interested let me know. It's a beautiful spot and there will be lots of people, there were last year although I couldn't make it. I think a car is classed as a family however many are in it. All proceeds go to Breast Cancer Charity. There is a club house and you can buy food or take a picnic. Plenty of entertainment for the kids. Sorry I am late letting you know but I have only just found out about it myself. Doesn't our Queen look regal in her new Tarara. I call her a sex goddess. A bit like Mata Hari ( sp). Well, back to some FH or sould I get the ironing board out. think FH wins. Bye for now Luv SuzyQ
