Afternoon All, Feels like ages since i got a chance to catch up on what wattlers have been up to. I did get a bit nervous of the bug/virus scare, but thought i would risk it. I have been away, on and off for the last 3 months. spent this last weekend camping with family at Barham, perfect weather. Back to my usual work tomorrow, i have been doing a few casual shifts at some small places over the last month. The idea of half pay for my long service was a great idea, but in reality, i think i traveled too much and spent far too much hehe. Got a bit poor and had to pull on the work shoes. I have had a lovely break though, and have missed catching up with what has been happening here. I hope to be able to check in much more often now. I have not even looked at family history for the whole holiday...and i had such great plans. Can someone tell me a good site to find a death at sea in 1856ish. I need to find out which of two possible people of the same name died enroute. Nice to get emails from wattlers, that has helped keep me up with the news. Hope everyone is well or on the mend. I thought I would get a little something for you,Laurie, dont like you missing out ..seeing as how you are a princess and all that...so I have sent you (snail mail) a little something that made me think of you the minute I saw it..you are to don it and we want pickles please...but be scared ..oh so very scared if you send some to the Queen...pmsl..... Had a nice day today doing some retail therapy but must get my detector gear sorted out for next week..Cant believe I am actually going on holidays..even is it is only for a week or 10 days.. better than nothing.. Just thought I would tell you all this, Karl, Joanne's boyfriend asked us for our blessing to their getting married. We thought it was a lovely gesture, Karl was so nervous, poor thing, of course we said yes so it looks like we're going to have a wedding sometime in 2008 when they come home permanently.I may have already told you this on an earlier msg. but I'm so happy about it and Lorraine. Evening All Tamika has had her interview, and after a bit of stressful few minutes when we originally went to the wrong place with about 15 minutes early, to find we was at the wrong place, we hurried as fast as I speed limits would allow to the right place with 2 minutes to spare, she was not the last one as another girl arrived just after her. Tamika said the interview went well, she had no probs with the group and sessions, which is where I thought she might be a bit shy, but she thought she didnt go quite as well when it was one on one, she will know either way in 7 days, but at least she had gained some experience to what happens in interviews and knows what to look forward to next time. Jill ooh how exciting an upcoming Wedding, such an exciting time :-) Mary if I dont get to chat before you go on your holiday, do have a good time, and enjoy yourselves. Trifley you do look sooo regal with your new headress. Now we will all want one :-) Fanny I think it was you that mentioned about not liking Magpies (the real kind Tony and Lara lol) well I am with you, I hate them also, after being attacked by them before, they make the plover mild by comparison, anyway I visited my best friend while Tamika was at her interview and as I went too leave, what was sitting in her small back yard ......... A rotten Magpie :-( she told me he wouldnt attack and that it always comes around as they feed it, luckily it flew off as I went out back door. Cheers Sue

Evening all, I had to feed the chooks again today (forgot on Sunday and had to ring up dd's neighbour to help out). .. I had been told to kick the broody chookie off the nest, well what a battle - how do you 'push' or 'pick up' a broody chook. .. She wasn't a bit happy with me and gave me one peck on the hand. .. 'Out you go', I said, and off she went chook chooking around the yard as happy as larry .. grrrrrrrrrrr Then off to the supermarket, spied some pink Tim Tams which I bought for yesterday's occasion. .. Let me tell you I don't normally buy such biscuits, but it had to be done! .. (I'm sure I can eat them) The chicken herder

Jilly, this is lovely, good things come to those who wait.... Tassie glad the interview went well.. I don't mind REAL magpies as we also feed them and talk to them. They sit there and listen when you are talking to them. But I did threaten them one day when one of their friends kept dive bombing my bike helmet on one of my rides. Was up near the police station, so don't go that way any more. Mmmmm what is wrong with the wattle dr.......very quiet. Jood, glad you remembered to feed the chooks. My angel, Mark, has just come home so I've spoken to him about increasing the RAM on my puta. He is going to take it to work tomorrow so his puta peep can upgrade it for me. Hello Trifles, there was nothing I really wanted to buy, so I just checked everything out. They've got some wonderful pots, so I might go back and get some to put more herbs in, you know, the herbs that need a bit of protection. That way, I can move them into shelter when required. I'm a little tired this evening, as I swam for an hour this arvo. More tomorrow. I'm determined to get fit, particularly for the Antarctic trip. Apparently, getting ashore from the zodiacs can be a bit tricky sometimes, so I want to make sure I have strong leg muscles. Nothing worse than a frozen crewella, lol Anybody need an Ancestry uk look ups? I've come to a dead end with my stuff at the moment, so am happy to do look ups if anyone else needs them. Lew Lew xxx
