Afternoon Wattlers, you have all been having fun with your sing-a-longs, colouring in chook chaseing etc although Lew seems to have been quiet over the weekend. I had a quick read through but couldn't find any mention of a large gold strike...lol The wedding was beautiful, weather was perfect as was the food and the people. The brides Mum was very emotional, her first trip away from Japan and doesn't speak any english, but we managed to get by with lots of sign language.....poor thing was exhausted by the end of the day. OH got the honor of being best man. It was a very casual affair and the groom wasn't going to bother with anyone then changed his mind at the last minute. Back home, and the washing is in the machine and now I need to think about something for dinner. ~~~~~to everyone~~~~ hang in there Tassie, what ever it is you want him to do, just make him think it was his idea and you shouldn't have a problem...lol Back later Flakey

O'k... my turn to ask a question from the Wattlers. Eldest daughter rang me today on me mobile. She is the one who's hubbie couldnt keep his mind above his navel. So she left him and set herself up in a nice unit.( with daughter ...my grandaughter ) Very independant now, and surviving very nicely on her own. She has met a bloke ( no ties ) single, has own house, manager of Safeways.....and they are seeing one-another....no commitment......... She ( Daughter is 32 ) He bloke.....is 46........12 years younger than myself. Wants to give her the World. She asked me,did i think he was to old.......lol Says she needs a mature man, and sick of in-mature men. What would your answer be? All replies welcolm.....lol Tony Oz.....:>))) Pass me a V.B tablet...luv. Do i hear any go-fer-it's..lol

Hi Tony Tell her to go with her instincts. If she wants to go with it great if she wants to take it slow then do that. If he's that good a guy then he'll be happy to take it at the pace she wants to go. Not very decisive I know lol but then I am a Libran lol. Seriously though she needs to do what is right for her and her daughter.

briefly, he could give her the world without moving in, her moving in, imposing sanctions, bla bla bla. suppose you had all this in your mind. why is a bloke that old and still no attachments. I love my poss. dearly, but a single bloke (him)coming to a ready made family(my kids) & independent woman (me) has been a huge effort on all our behalfs. i often have thought it would have been easier to get past the lustful bit in separate households. just my thought Yvette x

Tony, Does DD want to be with this guy ? If she does, then --- GO GIRL.... Pam

Jude2 aka Flakey Report 9 Oct 2006 08:32

Tony, my humble opinion... go for it but let him live in his own place....she needs to keep her independance, it hasn't been that long since the breakup. As to the age difference...it really doesn't matter, the wedding we were at this weekend ...he is 54 and she is 34 but they have been together 5 years and are really good for each other. Flakey

Tony - my girl is married to a guy 15 yrs older than her, and it's his 4th marriage. .. They are very happy and he's a terrific guy - this is Lucas's Dad. I say tell your daughter to play it by ear (like some of the others have) - trust her gut instinct. .. Don't rush. For myself, I'd go for the (slightly) younger man .. tee hee Jood

Thanks Peeps. She is ringing me to-night to see what my thought's are. Just needed a bit of Ammo. Yvette.( Me... thinking like a bloke )That was the first thing that went through my mind....*why is a bloke that old and still no attachments*......so i asked DD.Answer: Because he aint found the right woman..yet.....( that was Barbs answer to me, when we met again ) She had a coffee with him the other day ( at his home ) He pulls out old 'Ten pin Bowling shirt' ( from the 70s ) and shows her how he was in a Teenage bowling league. Daughter was born in 73.....lol Now this is not what i would have done.......so he must be O'k.....LOL So will take Julie's advice.*Tell her to go with her instincts* and Jood *trust her gut instinct. .. Don't rush* Jude( Flakey )Yes, hasnt been very long since the break up ( tread carefully )That went through my mind, also. The age bit i surpose, dosen't really matter. My brother is 54, his mrs is 38. My Cousin is 68 and hubbie is 85. Its just that she asked me....did i think he was to old, and the first thing that went through my mind was what Yvette said.*why is a bloke that old and still no attachments* So all in all.....Pam's advice..If she does, then --- GO GIRL..but....... *Don't rush*...or move in. Tony Oz..:>)) Must be that time for another trip....OUTA THE COUNTRY ..lol

LOL Tony My stepfather was about 50/51 when he met my mum. He'd never been married before and he's a lovely man so don't worry too much about that bit of info, maybe he's just never met anyone he's wanted to marry before.

There again, considering my birth year and thats its 2006, 46 is really quite young. Very young in fact. He could actually be a vibrant, energetic, free thinking male who has been saving himself for ---da dammmm, your daughter! He could be really good at fixing 'puters and work at the National Archives. wipe your gob jood, you're drooling thinking about younger men. ... emptying out packets of napthalene..., yvette x
