I's not naughty. I was just sitting here minding my own business waiting for the number and Lew popped in and tried to steal it. Then she wished I'd melt......not nice...ppp I'm a nice quiet polite little thing normally but I haven't had any chocolate this week so maybe thats the problem??? Sounds like a good excuse to me...lol Flakey |

All the little bushies are deposited at the airport . . . goodness me we have had some redneck conversations today - some of the attitudes wouldn't last 5 mins in the city!!! Anyway - on a lighter note . . . Here is your afternoon dose of 'Gracie' enjoy the laugh . . Gracie Field Lyrics - I Took My Harp To A Party Christmas is comin', Christmas is comin' Christmas is comin' again But that never thrills me, the thought of it chills me I tell you it fills me with pain It makes me remember a Christmas gone by When I was extremely upset A night in December, an evening that I Would very much rather forget For I took me harp to a party but nobody asked me to play The others were jolly and 'earty but I wasn't feelin' so gay They might have said play us a tune we can sing But somehow I don't think they noticed the thing I took me harp to a party but nobody asked me to play So I took the darned thing away They asked Mrs Morgan to play her mouth-organ And somebody else did a dance They Let Mrs Carter perform a sonata But I wasn't given a chance A north country person called Sandy McPherson Played bagpipes and took off his coat While both the Miss Fawcetts bust out of their corsets In trying to take a top note But I took me harp to a party, nobody asked me to play The others were jolly and 'earty but I wasn't feelin' so gay I felt so ashamed at not strikin' a note That I tried to hide the thing under me coat I took me harp to a party but nobody asked me to play So I took the darned thing away They sang Home Sweet Home and The Banks of Loch Lomond And All the King's Horses, then Trees While nephews and nieces kept playin' their pieces And spreadin' their jam on the keys A daughter called Lena, played her concertina We all played ridiculous games 'Til old Mr Dyer, set his whiskers on fire And a fire engine played on the flames But I took me harp to a party but nobody asked me to play So I took the darned thing away!- Lol . . . luv Laurie |

Hi everyone Lovely day today here in Dunolly..Hot aand sunny.. lara Went to Eddington Cemetary and not a sign of a family headstone. In fact not many old ones at all. I feel they have all been removed as there is a large part of the cemetary that has nothing on it. Looked at every headstone and no luck,, bugger.. I am going to see the local under taker as they say he may have a list of peeps buried around here.He was not home when I went just a minute ago so I will go back and try again. If he is not any good I will go into Maryborough tomorrow and see if the Council can help me. At least I took a photo of Eddington Cemetary for you,, more later We had a nice trip down and it is so nice to see all our old friends again.. John was not so good on the first day here but he is a lot better today.Havent been out fossicking yet as I did have my batteries charged. Done that now so am ready to go when I get a chance. Everyone has been so nice and have seen some lovely nuggets that have been found recently by friends..I would like to find at least one before I have to go home next tuesday. Gave Heather a ring monday morning but she must have gone to work as there was no answer..Sorry Heather,, better luck next time..We stayed Sodens Hotel as we like the food there but the rooms are not much to write home about.. May go on further going home and stop somewhere near Tuarcutta ,will see. Hope everyone is well, and am feeling very at home back here in Dunolly Every time we walk in town we bump into someone weknow and get a big hug At the moment we are heading home tuesday and should be home wednesday. The days are going so quickly.. Will get back as soon as I can so love to all.. Love Mary xxxxxx |

Hi everyone, I've just spent the last hour or so catching up, I should have made notes but was so interested in what I was reading I forgot, so now I have to try and remember things. Vonny I'm glad you had a lovely trip but so sorry about the accident to the car and lots of well wishes to your family I hope they are begining to improve. Heather I bet you are still talking non stop to your daughter, I got the impression she had a great time. Send me pickles please Gwenda if it's not to late, I'd love to see them. Great news Donna, If you see what I mean, you sounded so relieved, get well soon. Talking about results has anyone heard how Cilla is? SuzyQ I hope you are on the mend also, the aftermath of a cold can be just as bad as the cold itself. My silly boy has landed himself in hospital with a urinary tract infection. Suppose to come home today but his temperature keeps going up and down so he may be allowed out tomorrow. This is the fourth time he's had this infection so the doctor want's him to have his prostate sorted out, bit of a worry. Have to go as I'm off to the hospital again, will pop in when I can. love to you all, Jillx |

Afternoon all. Just returned from the 'sickies' and I'm glad to say they are a bit better today. Although Mia and her daddy aren't eating much and her daddy is doing a fair immitation of a scarecrow!! Health care nurse was there checking up on bubby and she got a big tick so D is very happy. D has also lost weight but she doesn't mind! - as long as she can feed bubby of course. Got to do some h......k around this place as it is a disaster area since the weekend away. Bye the bye, are the REST of us having a party too!!!! *gets ready to pout and chuck a tanty if we aren't* :) ~~~~~~~~~ Vonny |

Arvo. Reasonable warm to hot day in mailburn. Beautiful weather for pottering in the garden. Who's aving a Party!!!..... Why wasn't i told....:>(((..... Which Jude??...and where....... I'm always last ta know...:>(( Lara. Now how could Mike possibly think you could talk under water....hee hee.*pours Lara a nice Brown Bros.* Vonny. Hope SIL and little Mia are feeling better soon. Jill. Best wishes for your boy, also. Hope everything turns out o'k. Mary. Hope you have a great time. Dunolly is such a beautiful town.Poulation i think is about 600?..... A far cry from the Gold rush era of the 1800s with a Population of about 35,000 miners The daddy of them all was the Welcome Stranger nugget unearthed at Bulldog Gully, in 1869 by John Deason and Richard Oates, containing 70kg of pure gold. Now Lara....thats what i call a 'hunka hunka'....never mind about Jood's fireies.....LOL Imagine finding something like that nowdays.....and if ya do Mary,........hee hee.....dont ferget ya mates. A kg of yellow stuff would go down really well right now. Dont know if the Anvil is still there, outside the museum, that they cut the nugget on, but we stopped there on our way to Tarnagulla to have a look at it a few years back now.Have a great walk with the detector, and hope you pick up a few 'beep beeps' under the ground. 'Thar still be gold in tham thar hills'...:>)))) Hope everyones had a nice day, and best wishes to all who are not feeling the best. Catch ya ron. Its time to wet the Wwwwwhitsle....:>))) Tony Oz...:>))) |
