Morning Wattlers, hurrah hurrah, Ron's being allowed out of hospital today. He's going to have the op. next month, don't read this bit Tony it'll make your eyes water, he's going to have his prostate bored out. It'll be keyhole surgery so he will only be in for two nights three days. The doctors are amazed by his contitution it seem he was two or three days away from developing septisemia and he only felt ill after he was bitten about a dozen times by a bull ant, that was on Tuesday. He thought he was suffering side effects from the bites but he really had this urinary tract infection, good job I took him to the hospital. Be back later, luv Jillx

Was wondering if i might need a brazillian for Mudgee, so I thought I had better send you all a pickle of one. Jil, hope Ron will be okay, doesn't sound very nice, but I don't see why the female of the species should have to have all the plumbing problems. so true jood, the kids and i are a big believers of all that. as a result i tend to live like there is tomorrow (coz i've spent all i had yesterday. lol) I saw the bit of cream that was left but the cat nicked it while we weren't looking. Narellen is not too far to come, although it was when the weather was bad. Thanks for the welcome,Wattlers. Yes, it was pretty late when I looked in last night -but I've got used to the world being in bed before the sun has gone down here. Often gone past your door, but was a bit too shy to knock -took a confidence boost from somewhere else to get me started. Feel for those who are enduring awful fires again. Its just occurred to me you are the one from Perth (my home town) - I'm going back there for Chrissie. .. I was only just thinking about 20 minutes ago, geez, I hope its not exceptionally hot in Perth when I go over .. In fact I am hoping for some cooler weather before December. Didn't hear no fire bells Shazz - maybe the police sirens will be better - they're not far away either, nor are the ambulance, take your pick. Bev - Born Nedlands, grew up in North Perth, and then when I married I was at Doubleview/Wembley Downs - where are you? I have been back to Perth every xmas for the past 5 years at least, and I have had to take warm clothes for that odd day! Jood

Hi again, Well it's official, I have broncitis. Came home from the doctors with a big bag of medicine, not fancy colour ones, even the cough medicine is a clear liquid. No red juice for me. Hopefully I should feel better in about a week and then she wants me to go for a chest x-ray and an ultra sound on my abdomen. Don't ask why, think it is to check my liver and kidneys because of the diabetes. Laurie, that Robyn sure is thorough. So, you don't fancy a brazillian, it would be cooler is the hot weather. LOL I don't remember who it was with the dodgy microwave, was it you Vonny? May I suggest you take a look at a web site called www.notgoodenough (.) org. I had a lot of problems with a stove that I bought, after having 3 lots of new control knobs in the first 6 months I asked for a new stove. The makers, Chef, told me that was how they were and I had to put up with it. I went onto the website, left a message and they took up the cause for me. 10 days later I had a new stove. Now if I have any problems with goods, I tell them they can give me my money back, a replacement, or I will go on to notgoodenough. It is usually enough to get good service. Can we have a party on here for our first birthday, I will fetch the cheese and biscuits and a bottle of red. I think there are some streamers and party hats left over from last time. Lara, when you come up for the Army reunion to you get to the Kakoda Barracks at Canungra? We will try to get to meet you whilst you are here, a trip to Coolangatta would be a nice change for us.
