Morning all. Golly,I'll have to type real fast to catch up. Hi Fanny..I hear WA did well in cricket this time Thanx for the pills Lew Lew -I'm not much of a pill popper-might just lurk around and take my time learning the dress code Anna.........blood? You must have an interesting recipe file Vonny..hello again. I gather you don't practice salary sacrifice then. The boat sounds nice...always wanted to try that, but never will now (sigh) Thanks for the Who's Who Jood. Have it copied out and promise to study it carefully ~~~Laurie...we've met at the Weekender..nice to see you Hi Cat...it's OK to talk to yourself. I do a lot of that cos folk go to bed early, I've noticed ~~~Jude and Lara. Don't think I'll ever get to any parties, but here's to your very good health anyway (raises glass of orange juice) You were all right. If I keep away from other threads, it should be OK. Off to renew. Bev from the Wild West

Right ..that's done, then. Now....a question. At the moment, I am finding the Wattlers by clicking on 'my threads' then 'all replies' then 'latest reply'. Is there a quicker way to get here, without having to wade through all the sludge that still seems to be building up outside?

♫♪ Yvonne from Oz ♫♪ Report 14 Oct 2006 04:46

Bev, Once you have clicked on 'Latest reply first' then just save that addy to favourites. it always goes to the latest reply. (then you have to catch up!!!) That is what most of us do, although some of us play with some word threads and so I have them saved to favourites also :) Vonny ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Out for afternoon and evening so see you all tomorrow.

Afternoon Wattlers Well yes Tony I had already gone when you asked me if we are on Daylight saving already, As others in the know have answered yes we have been on Daylight saving since 1st October, I do believe they are asking Vic and NSW to come to the party and join Tas so it makes it easier for companies etc, and of course it makes sense for the mainland to join us as we was the first ones to start daylight saving on a permanent basis. But then we have white curtains, cows that cant tell time and a hammer pmsl. Glad we went to show on Thursday as it is raining at present for last day of show, it wasnt supposed to but then its show week :-) All you lucky people meeting for our birthday, think of us wont you ............... yeah I bet you will............... too busy having fun to stop for a moment to think of us :-( Oh go ahead and have fun, we would if we was in your shoes lol. I will pop in to Weekender tomorrow evening after I get home from my meeting, this one is only in town so I dont have to take bus around any roundabouts lol. Cheers Sue

Hi.....I'm back. I've been inundated with rels all week so i haven't been able to spend much time on the net. We had 9 here at one stage....not counting me, Mark or Graeme. No wonder I felt jet lagged. I haven't caught up on all the posts.....except for the one about the Wattle Birthday party on the other place. I'll be there with my new martoonie glass. I broke the old one so Jade (Mark's girlfriend) bought me a pretty new one with a red stem......thoughtful girl. Hope you are all fit and happy. I'm off to put my feet up. see ya later. Hi Trifley, glad to see you back with the waffling wattlers. We were lost without our Queen. Just to warn you, the serfs did get a little bit out of hand. LOL Especially those eating pecan pie and then rubbing our faces in it by sending pickles. Well its an inch on their hips, not ours Pam, Mel and Ben, thinking of you. Cilla, I hope you get good results soon, its a worry just waiting. Donna, how you doin. What do they give you for tendonitis. I think that is what my step daughter has in England. Its in her shoulder caused by her job. She has been off work on full pay and now they have given her a less stressful job. Not much happening here today, but I am very tired, must be this silly cough. Another big day at Elysian Fields tomorrow., if I am feeling better I might get Neville to take me for a look. There are heaps of helicopters flying around. I heard that last week for the pink polo picnic, 8,000 people turned up. That would be a good return for Breast cancer. Well, I am going to toddle off and sort out my address book, got to get you lot in order. Luv SuzyQ

Afternoon Wonderful Wattlers. Had a message from Laurie. Apparently Qantas lost Ray's bag and it had her shoes in it. Gee, what a shame. Then she send another message saying that Qantas had found bag. What's wrong with that airline??? Surely, they should have realised that this was the perfect opportunity for Laurie to buy new shoes. Can they do nothing right??? Blustery this afternoon, but I feel a swim coming on shortly. Love to you all Lew Lew xxx

Hi everyone Lovely dy here today and having a good time. Heather Thanks for the phone number and will pop in to see you if we have time on tuesday and if OH is OK..He has not been to good while down here so take one day at a time.. Lara... I have just spent a hour with John Tully who runs the museum here in Dunnolly and hold a lot of local records and had a great time.. I think I have found your Henry Ward in life but not in death ..It seems he was very well known by the constabulary and I have coppied down a bit of info for you. I didnt have a date of when he lived but this Henry lived in Eddington On the 29/1/1869 Dunolly Police Court Ann Ward V Henry Ward Henry was bound over to keep the peace, addmitted the offence and was bound over.. On the 19/1/1869 He was arrrested in Eddington and fined 5shillings for resisting arrest.. Have more and will save it till I get home on Tuesday.. Cant find him buried anywhere around here so he could have been buried in Maryborough or one of the other little villages around here of which there are many.. I have a list of peeps who hold details of all the cemetaries around here and I will post it to you as soon as I get home.. Off to visit more friends in Maryborough so will pop in tomorrow.. FOUND 1 NUGGET weighed all of 2 gramms.. but it was only after all of 21/2 hous detecting so it was better than a bullet of which I find millions.. Back tomorrow.. Love Mary xxxxxxx

I thought I found a heap of gold once - it was 'fool's gold' - got all excited for nothing :( .. I wonder if Mary typed 2 grams and she really meant 2 kilograms????? .. Now 2 kilograms divided between Tony, Lew, me (I forget who else) .... ermmmm It's a bit too hard to work out, I never was good with sums - but it would be a bit of a lump would it not? .. Think I'll have a new neck-chain made with my share. Tony - why you ask if the other Jude is having Pecan Pie - you fancy some do ya? I'm glad you are participating Bev & JA (at long last) - enough of the lurking and more of the working, on here!! Lovely and cool here, I weakened and put the aircon on. .. Just heard from a distant rellie out Lockhart way (backa beyond) - and its heartbreakingly dry there. .. So sad - dry everywhere. Time for a wee Nanna nap. (I'm doing a Lara, about to drop off to sleep here) Jood

I used to go out 'specking' for gold in Kalgoorlie when I was a kid...never had much luck, tho' - p'raps it never rained often enough. Now I get my gold the easy way -with a credit card (his).

Judy

Judy Report 14 Oct 2006 09:10

haha - good one Bev. .. Actually it was Kalgoorlie outskirts where I got the fools gold - my uncle worked in the mines, and he showed us around. .. There is a winter and summer two-up school out in the bush (somewhere) - illegal of course! .. The winter ring had a cover (corrugated iron) .. lol Jood
