Who'd a thought we would grow and grow to a very special bunch of friends. You are all very special peeps. Hope the party goers are having a ball in Melbun - do you think they'll have any cake left to send us poor peeps or should I head to the kitchen and bake me own??? Mel - I'm sure the kids will dash out the door tomorrow morning, eager to get back to classes .. lol .. I'm opting for Pecan Pie Mel, and you can drink whatever ya want. .. Hiya Wafflers How are the birthday people enjoying their day ??? I have had a wonderful day - Ken & DIY Jude have just dropped us back at our hotel !!! This morning TLR & I were picked up here at the hotel at about 10am by Ken & Jude, and taken out to their home. Beautiful spot . . . sitting high on a ridge with great views all directions. Then the lovely Lara arrived, followed by Tony & Barb, followed by Flakey Jude. Great company, great fun, lots of laughter, and lovely food. Ken the master, cooked up a lovely spit roast, heaps of salads, great platter of fruit, lemon meringue pie, and . . . Oh yes the wine !!! Thank you so much to all for the combined spread of food, and for Ken & Jude for opening up their home to us. We talked to The great Queen Trifley, and to the Fluffy Pam, we had a WONDERFUL first birfdy. This evening Ray tells me we are going walking (uuuhhhmm . . . little worried about the locality for walking) so best go look up the tourist info stuff and see if I can find us something interesting to do tonight. Evening....:>))) Well we didnt av Pecan Pie, but we did av Lemon ma-rang Pie.....:>)))( me favourite )...and i got....to talk to the Queen......:>)) coz..I'm special. The afternoon went well at Jude and Ken's. We arrived about 12:45 and it was good to catch up with Ray and Laurie,Lara and Jude( flakey ) and then Judy ( DIY ) sat a singing candle in the centre of the table..and we all raised our glasses and V.B tablets..and sang Happy berftday to the Wattlers. The day was a bit O/cast with the sun peeking in and out. Ken sliced up the spit and we helped ourselves to salads and sat on the decking overlooking the bewdiful Yarra Valley and waffled on ( as ya do ) .....then the next minute i was summoned to the Phone and spoke to our Queen Trifley of the Nile, then the phone was passed around to each of the Wattlers in turn. I was hoping for a Knighthood ( from the Queen )...but as i started to grovel about my loyalty to the Wattle thread...... the phone was gone from my clutches....whisked away by the Princeth. Much grog was drunk, and stories told, and laughing took place ( as ya do ).....and a very relaxing afternoon was had by all. Laurie was happy snapping with the Camera, so should have a few pickles. I did a little bit of Videoing,( singing of the Happy Birthday ) which i will transfer onto the puter sometime this week, and post off by email as soon as i get time, if peeps want a gander. Lara did a bewdiful Scrap book pickle of Sarah -jane which she gave to Barb and me..... Thanks Lara, Barb is going to frame it. Well, enough from me, and thanks to Judy YV and Ken for there hospitality and a great day. Tony Oz.....:>)) Update: Boy you lot got home quick?....we only live 20 min from Jude DIY.....Ahhhhh..but then Barb needed bar-codes......ooops..i mean....groceries......lol
