Hello Wattlers, Shaz said it would be OK if I posted on your thread, even though I'm a foreigner, so here I am. Shaz and I met through a 'hot match' on GR, which turned out to be only warm. Anyway, she told me about your thread and said I should pay a visit, which I did. From what I've read, it's clear that you are all slightly mad, so I hope you'll accept someone who is more or less sane. I suppose it's because you all hang by your feet, while we on this side of the world stand on ours. I think I'd better leave it at that before I say anything rude and get barred before I've been admitted. Toodle-oo Waggy in UK

Laurie Report 21 Oct 2006 14:50

Hi Waggy . . . there is no room for sanity here - so welcome !!! LOL Thanks Tony, lets do it again sometime But I could do without the 'I told you so' in the background here !! teeeheee night all luv Laurie

TonyOz Report 21 Oct 2006 14:51

G'day John. Welcome mate. Well..wer'e only hanging by our feet when its night time over here John, and the sun is at your end of the planet. But during the day time we are upright, and we let you hang by your feet . Hope that makes sense. Have a great day mate. Tony Oz

Gwenda

Gwenda Report 21 Oct 2006 14:53

Hi John & welcome - another sane person - you won't be for long when you've mixed with this lot for a while - lol Tony - aka Quiz Master - I'm gonna dispute no. 20 - the Darling (2740) is longer than the Murray (2589) source World Book. That was something I learnt tonight in my search for answers. A great quiz Tony - you've got a week to organise the next one!!!! Nitey nite, catch y'all tamorra Gwenda

TonyOz

TonyOz Report 21 Oct 2006 15:04

Ahhhh. Yes Gwenda......but...the Murray and Darling meet to form the Murray-Darling basin ( Same River different name )......bit like a street that changes names on the same road. Sorry, all disputes are null and Void.......LOL Tony Oz....:>)))...lol

TonyOz

TonyOz Report 21 Oct 2006 15:22

Jes Jokin...Gwenda. It was a tricky question Yes.... you are right mate, the Darling is longer, but it combines with the Murray......... Murray - Darling Australian Fact sheet:...... Australian Geography The Murray River is the longest river in Australia at 2520km, combining with the Darling and Upper Darling Rivers to form the Murray-Darling basin. The Murray Darling extends over 15% of the continent, and serving 4 States and the ACT with water. Together they form the Murray–Darling. Tony Oz...:>)))

Hey Tony...how about some time-adjustment for chronologically -disadvantaged Aussies? I haven't even turned into a pumpkin and the game is already over!!! And I'm not naughty, Shaz, and I am, too, a lady, even when I'm being adjustable. I suppose you lot have all shut up shop again so I'm talking to myself. G'day John...nice to meet a cobber of Shaz .Hang around after hours and you can chat me up.

Cilla Report 21 Oct 2006 22:43

Morning all Just popped in to let you know that we still don't have an answer to what is wrong with me,we went to Townsville on Wed to see the neurologist & he doesn't know so it is back to having more tests, he wants me to have another MRI on a different machine as the one I had the last one on doesn't have good pictures Which is a bit rough as it cost us $250 & no rebate at least the next one is free. I also have to have a nerve conduction test & a EEG plus he has thrown a couple of more tests in for good measure. All these are getting done on 8/11 & I have to go back to Townsville on the 15th. We just want some answers but he has ruled out a few things it isn't MS,Stroke,Parkinsons & he doesn't think that is is Chronic fatigue. I am sorry that I missed Tony's quiz it looks like you all had fun maybe I will catch the next one. I get packed off to bed early these days as I am so very tired & if I don't have a granny nap through the day I can't stay awake at night. Will talk to you all soon Luv Cilla
