Ah Jeff it is a beautiful picture . . . . only problem is I get stuck looking at it all day and dont get much done . . . teeheee I sit perched up high looking over Botany Bay - no matter what the weather we never draw a curtain ! If I have to be in Sydney (which I do) then I couldn't think of a better spot to be. Luv Laurie

Morning Wattlers Hello to our newbies from over the other side. Laurie wow what a find, and to think it was there for so long withoout anyone, probably, knowing about it. Waggy welcome to the thread, you are not too far from an area some of my Ancestors were from, they lived in a small place called Brigstock, Northhamptonshire. Jeff, also welcome, yes the view that Laurie paints on here is exactly how it is, I was priveledged enough to see for myself when I travelled to Sydney for a meet in August. Cat now dont you go showing Jeff and Waggy how to pinch our numbers will you???? lol. Tamika is starting her job today and wouldnt you know it she came home from school yesterday with sore tonsils and her glands all swollen, she is having the day at home to rest cause she doesnt want to miss her first dy at work. Good Morning Wattlers, The sun is shining over Mudgee Valley and I'm being serenaded by two young magpies. The carting of water continues for Terry today and it's taking him longer now because of the queues which have started to form. We're lucky we have a bore, so we can continue to water the garden, but it's not good enough to drink. Sounds like there's going to be a nice little meet in Canberra. You going to gate crash, Loz? Thinking of you Fluffy and Trifles (((hugs))) Well, I've been busy this morning and, with the help of the handsome Claude, I have made a fresh batch of pills. A very quick good morning to all - I'm meant to be teaching today but now I've spent all my typing time reading :) Lovely to have some more imput from over the briny - I think our Cat was lonely sometimes :) LOL Hz - you're welcome to the gruel. We start our trip around the 4th March next year. Where we start will depend on how much water is in the Murray. We will have an official launching before that and I will let you all know. Do come down on the 9th Dec Laurie - and bring as many as you can with you :) Gwenda, Hellenic may be best as I don't think you have to pay for parking, do you? Good afternoon Wattlers Botheration! I just finished typing a reply and lost it. If it's not one thing I'm losing, it's another. Bother bother, bother. This time I'll do it on scratch pad and hopefully it won't get away from me! Ship ahoy to Waggy and Jeff. Welcome aboard the Wattle Barge. We're a friendly, fun loving lot so settle in, prepare to be ever so slightly dotty - and enjoy the ride. Heather - your little Lisa was voted off Aussie Idol last night. I have the feeling she was ready to go. It must be a rollercoaster ride for a 16 year old. What happens about her school subjects? Was she doing schoolwork whilst she was on Idol or will she have to repeat? I imagine there are still committments she will have long term as one of the idol finalists. Trifles - hope tomorrow is a better day. You'd better get yourself into top gear for next week dear Queen. Sending a little Wattle Fairy dust your way and hope it makes you feel a little better. Crewella - carting water I see. We had a whole 10 mls on Saturday but the wretched plumber hasn't come yet to connect up the tank. Chris is getting so impatient I think he'll end up doing it himself but we won't get the council subsidy if the work is not signed off by a licnensed plumber. I'm running out of time as I have to collect darling daughter from school. She actually resigned from her part time job on Sunday. She has so many assignments to get done in the next few weeks that she says she needs every spare minute. She has a film to shoot for her Media subject next weekend which doesn't help. They rang her from work and offered her time off and asked her to come back after the term finishes which is nice but she's not even willing to think about it at the moment. Catch you all later.
