Count me out Shazz - that's the day some of them are going to Canberra, and I can't go to that either - sorry. .. I had hoped you would have it the week before - never mind. Mary - I was saving the Wattlers from weapons of cat destruction :( Great news about the SD coming home for Xmas Donna. Tassy, how did you get on with your son? Anna I've sent the birthday list as opposed to the addresses. .. Sorry, I didn't realise Tassy had sent it to you. .. And worst of all, I forgot Fanny's birthday also :( Jilly what is Bara Brith? .. Is it a bird, is it superman??? .. lol Hi to all Jood |

Yoo Hoo Jilly - I am not so dumb after all. For all the other Wattlers Bara Brith (Welsh Fruitcake) Soak 10oz. mixed dried fruit in 2 cups hot tea, cover and let stand overnight. Strain the fruit, saving the liquid. Add 3 oz. brown sugar, grated rind of a lemon, 1 ¼ teaspoons pumpkin spice (or any mixture of cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, allspice), 1 egg and 12oz. self-rising flour to the fruit. Add the liquid a bit at a time until the batter is of soft, dropping consistency. Pour into a greased brown paper lined 2lb. loaf pan and bake at 350F for 45-55 minutes until firm to the touch. Sounds nice too Jood |

Typing as I try to get my sides repaired from laughing so much . . I have just been talking to Princess Lew, conversations with her are so memorable!!! Anyway the poor princess is still in the land of no internet or landline, I suggested she should tell Telstra that she needs the phone cause hubby hurt her car and he is on life support . . so maybe she will give it a go !! Yvette, Lew said to tell you she dina forget your birthday . . . she just couldn't get online to send you a greeting! but asked for her love to be sent on to you - and Sandra, she remembered your anniversary too and sends her good wishes & love. Mary, Lew got the parcel for the tiddlers !! Thank you . . . she also got one off me today so has something to play with . . . I sent her her own Mr Wonderful and some Maya Indian worry people, she is going to tell the worry people that they are now Telstra voodoo dolls and dish out some pain! Telstra wont be visiting the remote country township of Mudgee untill Wednesday afternoon . . . what a load of rubbish - its 2006, and Mudgee is certainly not tha far in the boonies!!!! Anyway best go finish prepareing for the return of the man of the house, I still have to put my feet up and rest for 30 minutes so that I am fresh to greet him with a smile and take away the worries he has had at work today. . . Yeah right !!! cheers luv Laurie |

Trifley sticks together bits of broken phone with duct tape......hoping that motel proprietors will not notice the crack on the handset. VERY, VERY short phone lead attached to lappy to enable dial-up. Waiting.......waiting.....waiting....slow as a wet week. Hi my crazy friends....first off happy birthday Yvette......may it be the best ever and only the first of many. Big b'day hugz to you. Dial up is SOOOOOOO slow compared with broad band. Went for a walk around some of the craft shops.....the girrafe shop is right next door to the candle shop.....how convenient! If the duct tape and phone hold together I'll catch up with you all tomorrow. Big hugz from deep in side a relaxing rain forest. love Trifley X |

Hi Wattlers please take whichever applies....happy birthday, happy anniversary, hope your feeling better or have a nice time....lol sorry dont have much time. Thanks for all the good wishes for Mum Mum is now installed in a rehab hosp after spending 2 days in the emergency ward. She is in no pain but cant do anything for herself. We are not impressed with where she is but had no choice at the moment. The place is old but at least the staff were friendly and everything was clean. We will see how she goes for a couple of days and if we arent happy will move her to my sisters and get help in. Have to fly, oh will be in for dinner any second and I have nothing organised....not that he will care. Catch you all later Flakey |

Oooooh Trifley - ya didna break the wall didya when ya yanked on the cord??? .. Believe me, dial up is wonderful when there is no other option!!!! .. Glad you made it on here though. Wow what a difference an hour or two makes, .. I was very hot, and now I am cold almost to the point of shivering ... no no - no temperature, just the weather changing. Jude - at least your Mum is settled, and comfortable, and like you said, if it doesnt work out, your sister will step in and work something out. Where are you Fanny?? Jood |

Trifley, Lew Lew would sell her soul just to have dial up, behave, norty girl, ripping phones off walls, tut tut, lol. Hope you are having a wonderful time, especially around the vineyards, he he. While you're up there will you pop into Maleny, if I remember right they have a great leather goods shop there, worth a look, mind you it could be in Montville, my memory's terrible. Joodles, I like the sound of your recipe for Bara Brith mine was more of a bread type recipe, that why I was waiting for it to prove, it smelt heavenly while it was cooking let you know how it tastes tomorrow. cheers Jillx |

Good Enening Waffling Wattlers, Have just spent so long reading back pages, first up like everyone else Belated Birthday Wishes for Yvette. also thank you all for the anniversary wishes and Mike says to thank you all for his birthday wishes also a Thank You for the ecard Laurie. We had a wonderful weekend in Sydney special treat from the children, we got the train to Wynard Station(for those that know it) then a 5 min walk to Hotel, but guess who stuffed up and had the wrong street(had Kent st instead of York for those who know Sydney) then had a long walk looking for 77 ended up at the Rocks, anyway got a bus back to where we should have been. The hotel was good and a 5 min walk to the theatre. Sat outside a pub ,had a few wines and did some people watching(very interesting.)Even had our picture taken by some American girls for an art project they said??? Show was good ( I think it was Jester? who said a while back about being in reahersal for Titanic. Some of the production people worked on the Australian version of phantom so had good write ups. Sunday spent harbour cruising and lunch at Star City, train home then spent the evening at our local club, today spent having family and friends visit and now I am totally K******d. But a great few days (((((((((((((((((((to all still not feeling the best or who have some upsets))))))))))))))))))))))))))) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ to all the wattlers cheers Sandra in the Gong |
