Goodmorning Wattlers . . . Only 46 sleeps till Santa comes !!! The Dark clouds overhead, and the clear horizon made for a beautiful sky this morning as the sun rose. We had a heavily laden container ship leave at about 6.30am, and the tugs are on standby out at the heads at the moment - obviously waiting an arrival. Four giraffes stand with necks extended - reaching for the sky, but I guess with the new arrival at the docks imminent a few of them are going to be put to work before too long! TLR has to go to Jakarta week after next . . . and wouldn't you know it - thats when I have to be up home for the new roof . . . Ah well, guess it will be a few less days he has to fend for himself - just means he is going to have a long shopping list. We're off to WW tomorrow . . so going to have a lovely family weekend. Shake up the town a little with Oni . . lots of laughing and mayhem !!! Hopeing to snaggle a few heavy clouds and take them out with me. Heather - when does DD finish her exams - twill be a great relief for the household when that day looms. Nice to see so many of you getting more FH results, lots being added to trees by the sound of it. Wouldn't you know that Lew would pick the winner in the cup . . . you know something . . . we had a little funny sweepy thing on msn between Lew, SuzyQ, Duckers and myself . . . guess who ended up with 1st, 2nd and the last past the post as well !!! Darn Lewcrella . . . not only classy . . . but arsey as well!!! Re Trifley being the Queen of rain . . . ** I went to visit her at home a few months ago - drought everywhere else . . . . raining a treat at her house ** The Queen goes to visit Anna in drought striken Toowoomba . . . . the heavens open up ** Lew & Terry carting water to give their plants a drink . . . the Queen tells us how she cant use the hose because its raining !! I rest my case !!!! Does anyone know what happened to this year . . . I had it all big and new in my basket just a short time ago . . . and now its nearly all gone! I'm sure the polies have worked out a way to make them go quicker so they can get more tax out of us!!! Must get on with things that dont get done by themselves - Bazza not much help around the house, but he sure makes a good security guard at the balcoonie door . . . Have a great day luv Laurie

Hi everyone, beautiful morning. Have just been to see Mercury crossing the face of the sun courtesy of local astronomy society who have set up four telescopes near the town library with a general invitation for anyone to have a look. Can see sunspots and solar flares, and the tiny little disc of Mercury passing by!! DD15 was rapt to see a solar flare actually happen. (Warning don't look at the sun directly, no hope of seeing it, must have equipment) Nice to see quite a few school kids having a look. Have a lovely day all, I'll be back later ~~~~~~~ Hz

Good Morning wattlers, Grey skies and drizzle for my part of the Gong at the moment. Haz that would have been so good watching that in the skies. Mary did you watch Sunrise this morning(tv Show) they showed a man had found a gold nuggett worth $25,000 just doing what you do with the gold detector. Laurie have a safe trip tomorrow, yes your right where has thisyear gone, you know what they say, the older you get the quicker the time goes. Morning Wattlers a beautiful day for Oaks Day in Melb today. Just as well for those who believe that fashion comes before comfort. Did you see all the fools wearing hardly anything on cup day when the wind chill was 6degs. Maybe I'm just getting old, to me you can be fashionable and warm at the same time. Mornin' Wattlers from a very damp GC. We've had more rain overnight and it's now reduced to a light drizzle. UPDATE....it's now PPPPPing down! I've done my best dance to the rain gods and asked them nicely to send some to WW and Mudgee....and other parched areas. Fingers xxx'd this does the trick. Hz..what a wonderful thing to see....the heavens brought right into your own backyard, so to speak. Never let an oportunity slip by to experience the wonders of nature. Mary....maybe you should head out again to see if you can find a nugget too! They must be out there somewhere. L'oz....is this a business trip for TLR or just a Xmas shopping trip...heee heeee Well I have a mouth like the bottom of cocky's cage at the moment so I think I'd better get my self something more to drink. I have a great love for Astronomy, and set my Telescope up on the decking on a clear night and look at the moon. Barb bought me one a few years ago as a pressie. The grandkids love to look through it.......good fun. Bewdiful day in Melb. Sun shining, and a great day. The shopping centres are buzzing and its beginning to look a lot like Xmas....lol Rebs. Hi everyone Been a busy morning as I had to go and see my old ex next door neighbour.She has just come out of hospital. We had a coffee and a lovely chat. Then it was shopping for some food (of which I dont need any more of) and then home to feed the OH his lunch. Trifley Our raining queen, can it rain down here please, Hope the garden is thriving. Laurie is heading back up your way soon so make sure you have all the washing done by then as it will rain again when she gets there as she is getting a new roof, and dosent it always rain when you take the roof off...and before you get the new one on... Good afternoon folks, Just to let you know that although we got the storm we only had 20mm of the wet stuff and no hail, thank goodness. The thunder and lightning was a real good light show, but my Lucy is very frighteneed in the storms. Sophie couldn't care less and was sitting on the back of a chair watching it all. Not much today, just the odd shower but I think we may be forecast for more tonight. Been and bought new shoes today, just ask Shazz, Lew or Laurie about them, I really know how to make you all jealous with my dainty feet. Please can we put Christmas back a couple of months, I think November has come early this year. Yes, I think time passing quickly is a sign of getting older, just like the policemen getting younger LOL Did you come through it okay Ducky. Where are you Donna, shoulder not getting better. Hello wonderful Wafflers Just a quick pop in before I head home. ~~~~~~~~~ hi to all Have finally caught up on the last 10 pages after a lovely 4 days working my butt off at the cottage - lol. I'm so over painting and putting up weatherboards! But the cottage is looking so much less like a hovel (about time). Have spent most of the day on Ancestry trawling BDM's and census' - now have a numb bum and a numb brain! But found a few elusive rellies so it was worth it. Jon is celebrating with his mates - final day of uni today - whew its been a long 5 years! For us as well as him! Ken is off to a car club meeting tonight - yeah!!!! Now if I can get David to go out - I will get a night home - ALONE!!!!! No TV on , light the aromatherapy candles , play some nice music, don't have to cook and just luxuriate in the peace - oh what a blissful thought. Just hope everything goes to plan. this doesn't happen very often. Ooooo I can hardly wait keep your fingers crossed for me. ((( huggles))) for Trifley and Ducky.
