Hi All, well after saying that we were having high temps here, the storm came over, I was just leaving to go to the bank when the biggest crack of thunder happened, poor Bazil nearly fainted so I had to stay till it passed. No hail but lots of lovely rain, did someone say the Gold Coast got hail? I hope you're okay Trifley, and no damage. Sun's out again now and it's a beautiful afternoon, all cool and fresh. Good news about the job Yvette, I think lol Jillx |

Hi all I'm still here - have been a bit pre-occupied. Chris had to have a bit of surgery done but is OK. I've been having bad lower back pain and have been seeing the physio regularly for the past few weeks and have all these horrible exercises to do to 'strengthen my muscles'. Had to have an Xray today and I snuck a look at the report and it says I have disc degeneration in the lower lumbar spine so we'll see what they can do about that when I go back to the physio tomorrow. Just had an email from a friend in Melbourne with pictures attached of ice in his back yard at 3.30 this afternoon! What crazy weather. Sorry to hear about your tomatoes Fanny and Tony - hope everyone else escaped without any damage. We've had absolutely not a drop here - just humid hot conditions. Waves to everyone - great to see you back on deck dear Queen. Hope you've managed to get through the storms Laurie. XX Anna |

Evening Wattlers. Well so much for that warm weather. I've just had a hot shower, am in the flannelette pjs, dressing gown, ug slippers, air con on 23C and roast beef and hot vegies for dinner. I was planning a salad!! Outside temp 11C and falling. Definitely an early night tucked up in bed with the tv and the laptop, lol. Great to hear from you your Majesty. The printheth and I have tried our hardest to keep this rowdy lot in line, but I think a visit from Nefer and the boys is in order. A couple of beheadings wouldn't go astray either!!! MERLE! Have you not followed my specific instructions, lol. We're waiting to hear from you. Waves to All HRH Dr Lew Lew xxx |

Well the expected cold weather and rain didn't eventuate, tomorrow they say. The winds even abated and only a little breeze now. Fire's burning in the Blue Mountains, but nowhere near me - about half an hour away. .. Right up the top at a little town called Bell .. The place where the steam trains go on loop rides (if you have ever been on them - last time I went, they used diesels, it is all voluntary, and they can't afford to run the steam trains all the time, so just for kids holidays, usually). Sorry Earl of Ozeth (gotta bittova lithp) Mary, didn't need the brolly, or heavy jacket, just wore a light jacket. .. I only went to see a specialist at the hospital, it was just a short walk from the car to under cover. .. I must admit, its getting cooler by the minute here now. I saw that about Ballarat getting snow, wondered if Bendigo would get some, but its further north. I won't get into the debate between Melb & Syd - I reckon there is more teasing between Oz & NZ !!!! Good to see you Anna & Trifley - now where has SuzyQ gone??? Thanks Gwenda, I had to save the number for the Wattlers, and no-one else was around to uphold the tradition. .. Big sacrifice it was! Love Jood |

Hi Merle Welcome to the thread - can I say that we are not easily offended so you have absolutely no need to worry! I'm a bit concerned that you've been taking Dr Lew's pills - (psssssst - she's a quack you know!) Which reminds me - why were you driving the school bus Princess Mudgee??? My goodness you poor little people - be afraid - be very afraid! Hope you weren't self medicating at the time Princess. The more I lthink about it, the more the mind boggles!! When Chris was principal at a country school, one of the little boys came up to him and said - 'Sir, they had drugs on the bus.' Chris acted very stern and said 'Oh dear. What sort of drugs were they.' Turns out someone had a packet of Heron paracetamol and our little mate thought it was.... heroin! Chris wasn't very successful at keeping a straight face. So - beware of drugs on the bus Princess. Cheers dears Anna |

I don't think the school bus is the entire bus, although i could be wrong. think mums taxi. guess what, i hear rain. yvette x |

Fanny & Merle, your chrissie name can be anything you wannit to be - dozen hafta rhyme. (I mean - Joodles/The Virgin Merry ???) Anna - Lew is picking up and dropping off a friends teenager - they had to bring father down to Sydney to hospital I think. Ive been typing on my lappy tonight and its making my neck sore, too high up - geez Im a dill - I could have put it somewhere else! except the cords wont reach - so I'm not that silly at all. .. My big pc is running in safe mode due to a little hiccup earlier.. I will actually have to go and fold the washing up now coz I can't get on the big puter .. :( I had to laugh earlier tonight on A Current Affair when Belienda Green was saying how old she was. The other girl - the one who did the first nude magazine shot (name escapes me) - she says her friends tell her she hasnt changed - I thought - Gee you look old .. hehe - she was my Tai Chi teacher about 20 years ago. .. I'll think of her name soon. .. She was on tv too. .. Think she was a lotto girl. .. oh Karen Pini. .. I remember she had long elegant fingers (remember, we were doing tai chi, she was a lovely girl, and still is lovely but has certainly aged gracefully. Jood |
