Came over to Oz in the late 60s and married my brother the poor girl...lol Joodle. Dont have to put you daughters whole name in mate, if you want to start with her. Welcome Cloth Ears, yes they let anyone nice on this thread - even me and I am still a pom... Tony is kind of head of the harem of wattler ladies and keeps them under control if they get a bit raucous and misbehavin' (don't you Tony?) Jan, whereabouts in Wiltshire are you, I am originally from Southampton so know that area well, and went around Wilts last year - finally got to see Stonehenge. Hi to all the other aptly named christmas wattlers - can't even think of a christmas name (you all got in first, I did consider Ham Bag, just cause I like the sound of it!!) Off now as Christmas Party to attend this arvo plus need to pack bags for a few days up the coast. Catch you all later ... Lyn Screen is a jumpin' again!! Trifley - your lights are stunning and yes we could even see them down here in NSW. |

Hiya Rudee, yes your absolutely right with regard to Stonehenge: It's still standing proud. Perhaps I've become a bit blaz'e about them huge gigantic boulders. Lol |

Yes Jan. We gotta few old boulders here in Oz...ourselves. We call ours Kata Juta ( Aborigional for Valley of the winds ) or sometimes known to us Ozzies as 'The Olga's' Its a little bit bigger than Stonehenge, so we keep it outback in the desert....;>)) Rudee Oz....:>))) update: Lyn. I am very privledged and very humbled to be part of the famous Wattlers group. My job here is to watch over the flock and report once a week to Wattle spouses on who's bending the plastic outa shape. Someone has to do it. |

Says Jood *Doing too many things at once and making a mess of the lot of them* .. (Tassy will know what I'm talking about) Hey Lyn, without being rude, I think 'Ham Bag' is a good name (like Humbug) I'm listening to music today as I work - and boy has it 'lifted' me!!! .. I played the 'Ten Tenors' who produced a free xmas cd with our local Sunday paper, and it put me in the mood for listening to more. .. At the moment, its 'How great thou Art' - well ... geez .... it IS Sunday after all !!!! lol Off to do some more work. Thanks Rudee - I get what you mean. .. I ran into trouble tho, might have to start again as I messed up (see above) - but I'll get there. Jood |

~~~~~~ good afternoon all, Merle, Try googling medihoney. I hope the antibiotics fix you up but if you need something else, I saw a program on this using the NZ version, Manuka honey, but we also have an Aussie version based on tea-tree honey. It seemed to work in a lot of cases, especially if the wound was open from the infection. Ooooo Jood - I just love a good male voice singing How great thou Art. Get goosebumps just thinking about it. Sorry Tassie - don't know what happened, I'll send you a pickle. How are your lights? Going to check the threads, Vonny |
Vonny - I sent your pickle to Tassy earlier. I've finished my church songs, now playing anthems - there are some stirring anthems from around the world! Wow I feel so different now. Jood |
Here's a little novelty if you have trouble reading the font size on GR. If you have a roller on your mouse, try holding down the 'Ctrl button' on your puter, and at the same time scroll the roller ( on your Mouse ) one 'click' towards you.......The fonts should be bigger. Two click's bigger again.......... If you want to resume back to normall font size then reverse the action. Rudee Oz...:>)) |
Rudee - thanks for that, but I knew that trick from years ago. .. What I meant is that some of the letters in the fonts were jammed together, but looks like it righted itself now. .. You know what putas are like, they like to test you now and again :( Jood |
Afternoon Wattlers Hey Rudee can I just pm you my snail mail address as I dont have a credit card, that way you can just forward my share through the mail haaa haaa I wont hold my breath though :-)))))))))) Jood thanks for the pic of Vonny, they do both look smashing, very sophisticated. Well my son has finally decided what he is going to do. He had originally got a plane ticket to go to Melbourne on 19th Dec so he could spend Christmas and his 18th birthday with his Dad and still come back if he decided to without loosing any money from his youth allowance. well he has no decided that he cant wait to get to Dad and has changed his ticket for this coming Tuesday, so that means he has to stay over there or possibly loose some money from Centrelink. I think he will stay over there, hasnt said as much but being a Mum that is what I am picking up, I think he doesnt want to upset me, but if it is what he wants I am fine with it. Cheers Sue |
Hi everyone. Trifley thanks for the photos, your house, sorry palace looks spectacular, when do they let you know who the winners are? Fluffy One lovely talking to you the other day, how's that cold now or is it sinus? We both seem to be doing a count down, you for Mel and me for my son moving into his first home, very exciting. I agree about the ironing I'm sure Mel would love to do it for you, Yeah right I can hear you say,lol. Merle bit of a worry that leg, take care. Thanks for all the photos that you other lovely peeps have sent, it's great this exchange of info about ourselves and our families, we all seem like a big extended family. Mr & Mrs Wattler sure had a lot of daughters but only one son, bet he was spoilt. How's that baby coming along Tony, any news yet? Had friends round for dinner Fri night, did a Thai banquet thingey, they must have enjoyed themselves as they didn't leave till 2.30am, then Sat. Ron and I went to the races at Eagle Farm for a christmas function. won some lost some, it was quite fun really, then this morning some other friends with small children came for brunch. I can now honestly say I feel b--gered but pleasantly so. lol. Luv Jillx I bet Jood has just remembered me.pmsl. |
