Hi all Believe it or not this is a Jenn - u - Wine Fambly His Tree question. .. I did ask on the boards, but I forgot to mention the vital word america - now I know very few of us are research american history, but maybe they know a friend who could tell me this .. for my daughter. Here's the query my daughter is asking if it is worth while getting a Birth/Death/Marriage certificate for America - in particular Paterson, New Jersey, in the year circa 1865 - what information it would contain??? (she is after more detail of the parents}. Hi, I wondered if some of your American friends could help with a question I have. .. I have a photocopy of a marriage certificate (an actual marriage certificate, not what the BDM give you) dated 1865 for Greg's family, in Paterson, New Jersey. .. I wondered if it mught be worth my while getting the BDM certificate if is shows more detail ie the parents. .. Could your friends tell you what is actually shown on the BDM certificates for that date? That's it folks Glad for the update Rudee Sad for Sue saying goodbye to son, and happy for Jude saying hello to daughter. .. Its my son's 45th birthday today and I was telling my daughter how lucky we are that our kids survived to that age and didnt succumb to accidents or sickness. We visited an Alpalca Farm today. .. Lovely majestic animals. Jood |

Oh! What a sensational game of cricket. Our Aussie boys did us proud! I believe the poor old Poms have a sports psychologist waiting to counsel them. Must be very disappoointing for them when it looked for all the world as if they had it in the bag. Aussie Aussie Aussie Oi oi oi! :>) Anna |

Hi Merle, gee you are in the wars. (((((((BIG HUGS))))))) Can you put a daybed next to the computer?? :) OK the number thingy - every time any of us reply to this thread our reply is counted. Because we waffle er.....talk a lot, we have a grand total of 17814 replies at the moment. It has become a game to reply and get the 0 ending numbers, or the sequencing numbers or anything that looks good :) However, often the numbers come up in the middle of our night BUT our friendly british cat makes sure she gets them for us. So kind of her really !!!! NOT. :) We have a game to see who can get them and when we are all playing it can be quite hilarious. :) |

*SIGH* .. It does help to put the batteries in the right way! .. My keyboard was doing funny things (it's cordless) - so turned it over, and sure enough - flat batteries! .. Ah well, all ok now. I just gotta tell ya's. .. I was at a friends place this evening, and she told me that the Sallies were coming to her street tonight, sure enough we saw them all in a little circle playing an assortment - well I don't know what they were playing really - trumpets I suppose - no little lasses with their timbrells and their black bonnets (they sadly don't wear them any more). .. Brings back childhood memories, I think I mentioned them just recently. Never tried tinned prunes Rudee, yuk - I always buy the loose stoneless ones you cook up yourself - yum .. lol Nite all (and Yvette, don't stay up all night .. lol) Forgot to tell you that Anna sent me a firie postcard, I'm not sure if they were taking their pants off or putting them on .. hahahaha. Relax They had shorts on as well! |

Jood He he he he! Glad the raspberries cheered you up a bit Tassy. I don't think I've ever tasted fresh raspberries. I've had blue berries and I thought they were fairly tasteless. And blackberrries we used to pick when we were kids and make blackberry tart which was yum. Prunes - I like the big fat ones which already have the seeds taken out. I wonder if Lew was at the cricket today... she'd have been shouting and yelling and making a spectacle of herself for sure. Off to bed. Sleep tight everyone. Anna |
