Good news Anna - b-i-l is ok - they went from one hospital to another emergency hospital, and was checked out. .. They said he could go home. .. My sister was texting me - I was trying to keep my eyes open, it was nearly midnight when they got back. A friend of mine said that a violent sneeze can cause the circulation to be cut off. .. He seems fine this morning, we wil soon be going out to brekky as planned. I too was exhausted mentally walking up and down those 7 flights of stairs. .. I think I would have got a long piece of string and dangled the mobile phone down to the ground floor, but it could not be done there. Have togo now - to the brekky shop. Back later Jood |

Good Morning from another beautiful sunny day in down town Melbin. Laurie. Sounds though you need a holiday. Jood. Glad to hear all was well with BIL Looking forward to our local Carols by candlelight to-night with my family. Perfect weather for it. The Whitehorse Council puts on a great evening, and takes in many of the surrounding surburbs. Last year we had the great singing voice of Dennis Walter, and he will be singing again this year. They have the traditional pantomine of the three wise kings on camels that walk though the crowds of people to arrive at the nativity set stage of the birth of Christ, with everyone holding lit candles showing the way. Its after this event ( Carols ) that Barb and i get into the spirit of Xmas, and always come away feeling relaxed. We live 5 min walk from the Council park, so no need to drive, and the place will be packed. Food stalls are open for a bite to eat, and hundreds of kids will run madly around with lit up chrissy head gear and multi coloured fluro arm bands driving their parents crazy, but we woundn't miss it for the world, a great evening of entertainment. Av a good un. Rudes.....:>)) |

Greetings everyone, Have had a social few days, topped off with a waifs Xmas last night for assorted friends spending Xmas elsewhere or working etc, had fabulous roast lamb dinner with all the trimmings etc. On Xmas day itself we are going to friends in the afternoon so I don’t have to cook (am in charge of summer pudding or berry fool or the like, all recipe suggestions gratefully received – no wheat though - ) Took ages reading all the posts and loved it- can’t wait to get each day’s “gift” lol, atm our cat is pouncing on the decorations she can reach hanging from the tree, ringing bells and getting her claws into the tinsel! One very excited FH person here, thanks to Tony’s AVRI, I have finally “proved” a connection I long suspected between some families on UK Census, at last I found a death in Vic where the mothers maiden name is listed and so the two families are cousins after all. I already know the ship one lot came out on and I’m betting the cousins may have come on the same one, if so I’ll be so chuffed!! Anna, saw news about your storm up there, how full is the tank?? You must be so pleased you went ahead to get it in. No good the storm damage for others though. OK I’m going back to dead people as the house is quiet and I can indulge today. I’m going to see “Prairie Home Companion” later today, looking forward to Meryl Streep singing! Hope all of you are mending, take it easy today, Mwah and ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hz |

Hi all again, Think I might skip lunch today - wonder why?? .. Well, you see, I had a nice brekky in a hospital overlooking a Yacht Club on the Swan River. .. No, it wasn't a mistake, they really do do breakfasts there and the cream of Claremont (one of the more affluent suburbs) were also dining. .. Strange but true. .. Quite nice .. I was told to take my sunnies, but left them in the car, - it was a bit glary looking outside.on the water. .. I was intrigued by one old guy who was trying to row his boat in the shallows, then tried his motor - but it wouldnt go. .. He just sat there. .. I must have turned away, and when I looked back, he'd gone, probably home. .. He obviously was going to motor to his big boat and go out for the day. .. Wouldnt you be sooo mad! lol Only a few sleeps now ~~ 9 I think! Have a great day all. Love Jood Lara, this is the pm I sent Miss-L-Toe ==== Merle if I have the photos you are asking for - on this laptop, I''ll gladly send them, and tell you who''s who. .. Is there any person in the group you don''t have a pic of??? I have everyone''s. .. Can you send me one of you pls? .. You will notice we call them pickles - that started when I typed pickies and someone couldnt read it, thought I said pickles, so that''s how it came about lol .. So sorry to hear about your leg, and very good luck to you and himself for Monday at the Drs. .. Pity you couldn''t duck up to Perth and have a mini meet. ==== But I don't have those pics with me unfortunately. .. Damn. .. I was in so much hurry, so much to do, that a lot of stuff wasn't copied over to the lappie. . Never mind. This lazy life is making me soooo tired, mainly around the eyes - dunno why. .. Be hard to race around again chasing my tail, I rather like the lazy life - certainly couldnt keep up with Laurie's pace hiking up 7 flights of concrete stairs several times in a day!. |

~~~~~~~~~~~~ to all, finally surfaced today after mid-day :) Went down with a lurgy on Friday afternoon - typical, go like crazy and when you finally stop the body catches up!!. But we still managed to go up to Richmond last night for the engagement party and home again - arrived home 2am. I was so full of a head cold that I look like a stunned mullet in the pictures so I'm not sending them out :) Due out for John's traditional Boaties Chrissy party this afternoon but I have piked out on the boat ride part and will only go down for the dinner - I'll be dressed up in a period dress so might send a pickle if it looks better than last night's effort!! I do feel a bit better today. Hurray for the win :) Looks like we will have lots of chances on the 30th. Jood - the first win at Yarrawonga was around $28 I can't remember the cents. By the way - when you do up the next list Tony, could you put me on sometime in Feb please? because I will be away for 5 months starting March. Tony - the Carols sound lovely. Hope you have a great time. We have a Carol service tonight but I will have to miss it. Thinking of you all :) Vonny Have a lovely time with Mel, Ducky and also, when does Donna's step-dau arrive? Congratulations Yvette - so happy about your new job. |
Trifley, hugs to you, you party animal!! lol Laurie, did you say you were coming home this Tuesday, if you are hang in there when you get home you can have the biggest martoonie this side of the Blue Mountains, I think you deserve it, I had to go lie down after reading your msg. lol Joods glad your bil is ok, enjoy the rest of your holiday. Son and dil 2b moved into their new house yesterday, settlement was 4.15pm Friday. very exciting for them, we went round today and gave them the w.mchn. had a toast, then the boys (oh & son) started talking about all the improvements that need doing, very funny listening to them. Ron is very good at diy and Chris grew up helping, he is an electrician now, very handy to have in the family, now it's going to be dad helping, or not, be interesting to see who ends up wearing the chief's hat, although they are very close so they might share,lol Lew Lew I was reading through a back copy of a caravan mag. and came across a lovely article on Mudgee, on one page it shows a photo of this beautiful old building it's painted blue and it's the premises of a firm of solicitors, do you know it? Love to all, hope you have had a great day Jillx |
