Hello you mad wonderful wattlers - oh I do miss you Many thanks for all the chrissie messages and cards, and the pickies. I'm still working my way through 168 emails at the moment ! So lovely of you all and such wonderful thoughts to share. Thank you Rudes for the wattle tree I have printed it off - so glad I have now worked out who is who on the bottom line - I was a little confused. I have been keeping up with all your news, but just haven't had time to post. I will be so glad to shut the doors tomorrow at 3.00pm. Its been particularly difficult to be polite when the person on the other end of the phone is abusing you, because they have left it too late to service/repair their car and we have no appts.left.Its never regular clients its always the nuts who leave everything to the last few days and want you to squeeze them in. Grrrr - grump over -sorry. Fan have copied out your rice paper recipe yummy - I can see me stuffing my face full as the men in our house wouldn't eat them (or I will be surprised if they do) - don't know whats good for them. ((( hugs)))) for Vonny & Trifley - and anyone else who is need of one All this bubbly/sparkling that is being consumed mmmmm - sounds good! We could all take a different one to Mudgee and do a taste test! Very hot one in Melb today, although the smoke has finally cleared a bit. Just hope we get the rain that is forecast the firies certainly need it. We go on level 4 restrictions Jan 1st. It hasn't been a very good week at home - first the washing machine packed up - it just wont rumba anymore (no spin), and then the dishwasher developed a leak and a nasty noise. I can get by without the dishwasher, but had to buy a new washing machine. Ooooo its sooo quite - I keep checking to see if its working lol. Bought another front loader ( had 13 yrs out of the last one) - Ken was grumbling - 'what do you want another front loader for- I don't want to have to bend down ' - Its been at least 10years since he has been near a washing machine (except to fix it!). Had the boys flumoxed - I had to show the computer whizzes how to use - score one for Mum! Can I ask everyone not to send me any emails from 24th dec until the 9th of Jan as I wont have access to a puta ( How am I going to cope with no wattlers for that long? - I ask you - its just not good enough!) I'm going to have awful withdrawal symptoms . I was hoping F.Christmas might come good with a lappy but the Money Pit has won out again. I might have to go home to babysit Cleo over that time so the first thing I'm going to do is try and catch up with the goss! Flakey your recipe sounds lethal - I'll have to pass it on to Ken - he used to make Creme de Menthe that was 70% proof - boy you only needed a small nip to feel merry. If I can find the recipe I'll get him to make some up for Mudgee. (only 8 weeks on Saturday) we all be very happy little wattlers- lol. Hello to duckers glad you and Mel are having some loverley time together. Mis -l-toe glad to hear things are better with you and OH Anna send some of your rain this way please - so glad the tank is filling up! ~~~~~~~~~ hello to everyone I haven't mentioned Hopefully I will catch u all over the next few days - I'm off home, I think I need a stiff drink - its been a very loooong day! xx jude diy |

no sherry cause i wasn't making coconut ice, i have to drive again shortly and i really need my licence. getting that number i was tempted, so tempted so I thought 'whats good for the cat...must be alright' , + putting off going out again. we have a plumbing prob. Poss can usually fix it. bit late in the year to get a plumber and it looks like poss. has taken up archeology. like how often does it rain? the stuff hasn't stopped for too long and now we've got to cover the trench so it doesn't fill up.yvette x |

My recipe for Turkey or chicken stuffing first catch your onion, chop it up then boil it till soft drain but save the water, hurl cooked onions into a bowl add either fresh or dried sage, if using fresh chop finely. you will need more of the fresh stuff than dried. follow your nose and taste buds for this. then either add a very large knob of soften butter or a good shake of the wrist of olive oil, next add breadcrumbs enough to make a fairly soft mix, this is where the saved onion water comes in. salt is optional but nice freshly grounded pepper is good. have a good smell to test the balance of the sage if you think it needs more add it slowly Jillx |

I was quite young and he would knock em all off, but he would pluck clean and freeze mine before he gave it to me. they were the most succulent xmas dinners ever. I've had to chop off some of my chookies heads, but they're buried in the garden. agreeing tooo, i love you wattlers, i really doooo. yvette x |

Evening Wattlers...:>))) Veely hot here in Malbon. Got to 38c at 5:00pm, and i thank the lord for Aircons in cars.....:>))) Everyone should have the Lotto numbers. Jillaroo. Re: the Wattle Xmas tree. Sorry mate, but i dont have your home addy to post it off to you, unless you contact me by GR and give it to me, or unless you have mine??. When my puter spat the dummy a few months ago i lost 100s of Email addresses. Just in case i dont get the opportunity to get back on line. Barb and i would like to wish everyone on the Wattle thread, and your families, a safe, happy, and joyous Christmas.I hope somewhere along the way i have made someone smile, as that was my intention, and also hope that i have not offended anyone. Way back when the Wattle thread was first added i did say,If ever i say/type something that has upset an individual, please email me and i will remove my post, no questions asked. You have made me smile as well ( good medicine for the soul )and i have felt your sorrows and your joy's throughout the year. You really are a great bunch of peeps, and i think the high number of posts for this thread speak for itself.Extra warm wishes for those that have had a rough year, and one they would rather forget.( Walk on ) Yes....I may be the only male on this thread, that still posts regulary, but i am a very determined person...lol. Many people ( Female and Male) come and go from this thread, but i have found that there is great friendship and good positive vibes coming from this particular thread,......so why wouldn't i join in. This is a Genealogy site, designed for both male and female for the purpose of Family History and a friendly chat on general board to break the sometime frustrations of research, and i hope the few tips and the lookups that i have done for various peeps, has helped someone along the way. Thank you for your friendship, and may your god bless you and your families this Xmas, whoever you perceive him/her to be. FRIENDSHIP: People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime. When you know which one it is, you will know what to do for that person. When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away. Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done.. The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on. Some people come into your life for a SEASON, because your turn has come to share, grow or learn. They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it, it is real. But only for a season. LIFETIME relationships teach us lifetime lessons, things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation. Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person, and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life. It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant. Thank you for being a part of my life, whether you came for a Reason, a Season or a lifetime. God bless. Ya mate..the little Ozzie bloke darn sarf in Melbum....Tony Oz..x |

Tony I love your Feiendship story.. It is so true..I must be a fair bit older than most on here and when I look back on my life I can see changes where people come into my life and go again.and new ones take over..Its as if God says you have done your job with this lot so here is another lot for you.I feel very priviledged to know you all and cant believe we have formed such good friendships in such a short time.Taking up genealogy was the best thing I could have ever done, and to think a few years ago I thought it was the most boring thing I could ever do...lol Could be my crazy ancestors stop it from becomming boreing..he.he.he. I am sure all of mine should have been in straight jackets.. Love Mary xxx |
