Yum, I love home made jam - some - my sister was given a bottle of storberry jam for xmas, by my cousin who also lives here. She said I could have some for brekky, and now I am half way through the bottle - oops!!!! .. There is only one lady who can make authentic fig jam, and she sells it down Margaret River somewhere - its ab sooo lootly beautiful, just like we had years ago. Now ya making me hungry - I better take meself to bed. Thanks Edith and same to youuuu. Night all Jood

Day Eleven You have scandalised my mother, you dirty Jezebel, It was bad enough to have eight maids-a-milking dancing to punk music on the front lawn but they've now been joined by your friends ~ the eleven Lords-a-leaping and the antics of the whole lot of them would leave the most decadent days of the Roman Empire looking like 'Outlook'. I'll get you yet, you 'ould bag ! Gobnait O'Lúnasa

Good Morning from a sunny washed clean Canberry. Gorgeous day - we had some showers during the night. I've been shopping - got up early and went at 7am :) Just need to go to the markets later this afternoon - hoping to get some bargains then. We are having a very simple meal for the 4 of us tomorrow - just lots of fresh vegeys with roasted chicken and cranberry sauce and fresh fruit. ~~~~~~~~~later Vonny

Good Morning Wattlers, ( well it still is in QLD) Gee, I go out for one day and have 8 pages to read. And 2 new wattlers. And isn't it wonderful. Lew, I was going to pass some rude remark about your tree and then I realised it was better than mine, which is still packed away on top of the wardrobe. ( think I may leave it there this year ) Welcome Deb and Diedre. I am SuzyQ from Qld, just slightly east of Beaudesert and west of the Gold Coast. If you have to be insane to enjoy the company of the wattlers then I am happy to say that I am insane. These wattlers are the best friends you could ever have, they will share all your good times and bad, and never dessert you. And talking of Wattlers, Mary I would like to say a very special thank you to you because, if you hadn't told me about this wonderful group I would never have come back to GR and just think what I would have missed. Season's greeting to all our overseas friends, and a special hello to Sylvia, Hoping you have a great Christmas with you family. I am looking forward to a very quiet Chrismas day, but that could change, we have had an invite for drinks to our neighbours and they have been in the Christmas spirit for 2 days already. I have decided h********k is just a waste of time, it will only get dirty again, so thats it now until next year. LOL. Gotta go for now See ya soon Luv SuzyQ

Merry Christmas Everyone, I’m signing on for the first time in quite a few days although I have read a bit. I see we got all “Santamental” so I must add my piece here and say Thank You to everyone for all the fun this year, I hardly can let a day go by without a look in to see how the Wattlers are and never fail to be amused or moved. You are all such a talented lot, what with poetry and song, chrissy decs and boats, gutter parties and barcodes!! It’s a special thing to have such a friendly group grow and grow and just shows we humans really do like to be in community, even in cyberspace. I truly appreciate all the e-cards also, thank you. Now I’ve sat down I don’t think my feet want to get up ! Despite being run off our feet at the shop, it’s simply lovely at this time of year to see folks who are here visiting, we’ve had some nice compliments and two bottles of wine this morning!! We got zero rain this week, but it is nice to be cooler and the firefighters get a bit of a break. We are going out to a dinner at friends tonight, and a late afternoon gathering tomorrow, so I haven’t got too much more to do today to get ready (but I’ve run out of gift tags – will have to make some!). So Love and (((Hugs))) to all, have a wonderful day tomorrow with family and friends, and most of all, travel safely. Heather in Albury

been flat chat today, but went one better than yesterday and stayed in 'lounge clothes' all day. finished the tutu, what a masterpiece if I can say so myself. given it to the girlfriend who has modelled it for anybody who will look and even stood on our front seat so that the 10 firemen across the road could have a look. yep 10 firemen, putting out the electrical box again. bugger the day they actually fix it. made heaps of coconut ice. everyone has grqazed through last nights turkey and roast , last of it has gone to poss and miles for their tea legendary Poss. has finally fixed the plumbing. 10 m of trench over several days, and he found the inspection point. rained the best part of the day and the darling did it in the rain. we have a functional shower drain again now. needless to say he was first in. bye for now love yvette x

Its a sad world .. lol You make me hungry with all this talk of coconut ice! and as for your girlfriend teasing the firies with her tutu - she might have better luck than me hahahaha Anyway Im off upstairs with my coke and chips. the girlfriend is middle male childs love interest, they've been soul buddies for the best part of 5 years now. we love her like a daughter. lucky we had the trial run without her when she gave him the flick for a bit, just in case. sh works close to our place so its easier for her to stay here than risk driving in the holiday traffic all the time. they've gone to her place now for a couple of days. eldest is off to melbourne tomorrow to support the aussies. youngest is happy to do anything - as we will - on foot. i've only had one glass. keep forgetting where i've put it. don't drink coke , it'll keep you awake and santa won't come. . back to the kitchen for a bit yvette x forgot to say hiya cat, know ya there
