Morning all, good night's sleep last night :) Tony - John is just speechless over Garfield! Is Garfield coming to Mudgee? Will Wattie be jealous? pmsl Son's wife will be boarding the plane to fly home in 6 hours. Have spoken to her this morning with the much better news from last night and she was going to ring the hospital before she boarded the plane. Another hot, sunny day in the Capital - has been beautiful the last few days - not that we have appreciated it!! catch you later :) ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Vonny

Morning Vonny and any others awake - c'mon - rise'n shine Can't say I blame you all staying in bed. I was a little later than usual hitting the sack last night and I'm sooo tired this morning. Had to get up early and get my notes ready for Toodyay. I'm still not conversant with this family - need to have notes with me. I'm really hoping to see some bricks in one of the local churches that might have been laid by daughters ancestor - the convict. Last nights visit with the cousins was all the more remarkable in that there was one representative from each of Nanna's 3 children. I'm still on a buzz. Vonny - hope there is continued progress. Fanny - I emailed David Jones re that Storberry Wine. I guess they were a tad busy with the sale yesterday. I might even get a case of 6, will wait till I get a reply.(and will let everyone know the cost) Have a great day all. Love Jood

Morning Wattlers. This is a novelty for me to be able to post in the morning during a week day...:>))) Reasonable day in Melbin 21c but still cool. Hotting up over the next week, and temp will start to rise from Friday 24c,,,,28c,,,,29c,,,,32,,,,,,34c so some warmer days coming up. Vonny. Best wishes to your son, and hope he will soon be on the mend. This place ain't big enough for Garfield and me, so i said to Barb one of us has to go....... Its either him, or me, and you cant have both ( put my foot down )..........Barb said to me, that she hopes i will visit her often.....:>((((..... We have our grandkids down for a B.B.Q on New years eve, so we will let them have a cuddle first, and take a few happy snaps. Seriousy......we had decided that we are going to donate Garfield to either the Royal Childrens Hospital, or the Peter MacCallum hospital in Melbourne, so some less fortunate kids can have a cuddle and hopefully bring a smile to their little faces . According to the comp people, he is worth over a $1,000 bucks. Hope everyone has a great day, and lots of warm wishes for those who are not well. Av a good un Tony Oz....:>)))

Hi Tony, You snuck in. I wondered what you would do with him, he would need a lot of lasagne to fill him up. Think that it is great of you to donate him to a hospital, think thats what I would have done. SuzyQ

evenin all,Guess what, lil old Albany made it to 30 something today. Hooray for air cons. havn't' put my head outside all day. Himself has just taken his gopher for a little ride. First time out since christmas day. He had a great day but it was just too much for him and has slept the week away. Doc just says the emphysema and fribrosis are literally slowly strangling his lungs and we should take more care but we reckon he had fun and thats the main thing. Wrapping him in cottonwool isn't going to change the eventual outcome. My knee is b####y sore and nothing seems to help much. There you go ,thats my grump for the day. Tony the kids will love garfield. Thats a lovely thing to do.Crumbs man' would have thought you'd know better than to go up against a Garfield. Christmas has addled your brain Jood ,are you home yet or still gadding. Thanks Lara we're a bit biased of course. Kev will always be ours of course but we couldn't give him a past.(what am I saying, he sure had a good time trying to make his own!!!} The young man might be stretching it a bit though. he'll be 44 in March, Has a georgeous wife and two equally gorgeous daughters 17 and 14 as i said We're a bit biased. Deanne has left today to go back to their wandering. Felt quite sad to see her go. Still we'll be in touch Take care everyone. Hope the H.R.H.'s are well. Need some booster pills Dr Lew. Love to you all Merle

Hi Tony's nearly cousin Joy - at least I think that is correct. Im very tired this evening after my day out in Toodyay. You would have been proud of me stomping all around the cemetery looking for elusive ancestors (not for me, either) in 40 deg heat. It was blurry hot. Went to the local gaol where the ancestor spent his first days in Oz, and to the church he (as a stonemason) helped to build. Found a street named after the other family. Drank 2 bottles of coke. I was sooo thirsty. Toodyay is about 1 and a half hours out of Sydney. Merle - I have a week to go here in Perth (probably take all the hot weather home to Sydney too :(( Tomorrow visit cousins down Mandurah way Tomorrow night - few drinks with sisters indian neighbours (Ooooh I might even get a wine) Saturday off to the tennis all day. Sun/Mon no plans, tho will probably sit upstairs on balcony and have chips peanuts and ... who knows? Tue free, but might ring a neighbour up and go to casino for lunch Tue night take sis & bil out to dinner Wed friends place morning tea Thurs pack for home. So although Im not cooking or working, Im pretty busy still, being driven everywhere (oooh I ammm lapping up all the attention). bil makes us a capuccino twice a day, and does washing up every time. (Sis has him well trained) Mary hope you are better, Vonny healing thoughts. Love to everyone else - and give ole garfield a squeeze for me Tony. Jood
