Dull and overcast,,lovely,, we may get a shower or a storm so that is fantastic..It was so dry our west that nothing seemed to be growing in the fields.Last sunday in Orange they had a inch and a half of rain fall and everyone was estatic, Much needed, as friends are even buying water for drinking,lets hope it filled their tanks. Jood, I have been to Toodyay pronounced,,toojay,, and its west of Perth not Sydney,,pmsl,,silly bu...er...Its a lovely town and it was on our first trip around OZ and as it was Easter it was the only caravan park we couod get into, We then had a huge hail storm and the hail was the size of golf balls and put dents in the caravan. Our first misshap with the van, so you can see it is a place we wont forget to soon,, Hope you enjoyed thd dinner with the Indian family, and did you get a drink or were you drinking Coke..On our way west when we got to the lights at Springwood I looked up and you were not there..Hurry home as we miss you in our time line slot.. Tony, I have Amcestry UK so if you ever want a lookup let us know,, I am not as fast as the lubbly Lolly, but we will always do a lookup for you ..just holla... Vonny, Hope son is on the improve,,Our lovely Kate who you met at the first Canberra lunch works at the Caffateria in the Hospital part time so if you see her say Hi and I will tell her to look after you.. Morning All, another sunny one for Mudgee, I'm afraid! Here you go, Merle, some lovely gold pills for you today. Give a couple to himself as well. Love Garfield, Tony. He's such a rude cat. The kids will adore him. That Barbcode sure is lucky. Sounds like there might have to be a Qld Meet when you're up there in 2007. You'll need to come home for a rest, Jood. You sure have been busy. Where are you Duck? And Your Majesty is a bit quiet too. Okay, I'm off to get some brekky HRH Dr Lew Lew xxx |

Good morning, good morning, good morning....... Beautiful day today in sunny Queensland - should be just lovely here in March Tony. Mudgee - Gold Coast - what a gad about you are! We had 2 days at the Gold Coast to catch up with friends from Perth who are at the coast visiting rellies - had a lovely visit with them. Spoke to our Queen on the phone - she is very tired and lacking in energy but no nausea so hopefully she will be back on line soon. If you're reading Trifley - (((((hugs)))))) We had 16 mls of rain over the last couple of days - it always looks as if it will be a downpour on the radar on the net, but it seems to go north and south of us when it gets over the mountains at Toowoomba. Still - better than nothing and our tank is now 2/3 full! Big lotto night tomorrow night - has our turn come do you think? Vonny - hope that boy of yours is improving - does his wife arrive from USA today? It will give him so much peace of mind to have her around. Ducks - where are you? I think Mel is going home soon so get on here and talk to us if you need some company. Went to the sales yesterday and got some sheets, a matress cover etc at a good price. It was even better as we had cashed in our Fly Buy points for Myer vouchers - so they were free - kind of! Vonny - did you get anything at the sales? Hope everyone has a good day. Luv to all Anna |

Morning morning tooooo Did I really say that Mary, about Toodjay being north of Sydney. Geez, when I'm in Perth I call everything Sydney, and call my sister my daughters name and then when I'm back in Sydney I say Perth! When I'm talking to people I say 'My father did this': and my sister says 'ahem - WHO'S father' - oops, comes from being on my own ! Mary when you saw those traffic lights at Springwood, if you had looked to the right as you approached the lights, you would have seen my townhouse, in fact the computer room is what you would actually see, and normally that's where I would be. Off out on the bus to visit cousins, and guess what, I'm tired :((( Love and hugs to all the sick ones Jood |

Morning Wattlers, the rain has stopped for a while but the wind is really strong. Cant get out on the balcony for fear of being blown to the mainland. Sun is trying to come out but there are too many rain clouds about. Not fishing weather so Roy is filling in his days doing small jobs on the boat. Im not doing much at all...lol Might have to go drag someone out for coffee later for something to do. Ive been offered a job already but I think its a bit early to decide what I want to do....or if I want to do anything at all....lol Ducky, Trifley you are both being missed, hope its because you're having a great time with family. Now, are you all organised for our big win this saturday...where are we meeting?? Better go put the washing out, will try to get back later ~~~to all (including the lurkers) Flakey |

Hello Wattlers, it’s warming up here today, not a cloud in sight. Tony I’ve got Ancestry too, renewed for a second year because it’s such fun and I haven’t finished the UK rellies ( is one ever finished lol?). At the moment the emigrants to US is free by the way ( till Dec 31st ?), I just found my Great Uncle who went from Germany to Canada in 1848, and later his son too. Jood you take the cake, when you get home from your holiday you’re going to need a holiday! Glad you’re having fun and getting together with lots of people, both dead and alive lol. “Fanny” your little joke is so cute! Dear Queen Trifley, energy pills from LewLew is what you need! Work out which colour is best and send her an order! And have a nap or two too! ((hugs)) I am at work but leaving early today (meaning after lunch time), and have the urge to throw things out before New Year, so I’ll see what I can do with the bookshelves today. I’m deadly though, I keep thinking I’ll reread things but I never do ! Hope the WattleLotto’s have got good numbers for tomorrow night! ~~~~~~~~~~~to all, Heather |

Arvo from darn tarn Melburn. Little bit warmer today but still grey cloudy skies with the sun peeking through broken clouds everynow and then. Mary and Hz. Thanks for the look up offer on Ancestry. My subs ran out just before Chrissy, and i only needed this one 1861 census check, to find her siblings and see where her mum was born so i could check for possible birth records. Anna. Looking forward to coming back to the GC, as i havent been up there for a while myself. Barb,Sarah and Barbs girlfriend and daughter usually go up each alternative year,and take the kids to all the theme parks, but i like it a bit further north personally. ( Sunshine coast)...but granny Barb wants to take her grandies to all the theme parks. Yes, we do like to get out and about,and we are holiday animals, as apposed to party animals..lol Only reason we both still work is for our holidays,and a love for travelling is something we both have very much in common. We were just disscussing yesterday the places/countries we have been to since our teenage years,and Barb leaves me fer dead geographicaly...lol Over 80 holiday flights & cruises for her all over the world,against my 15... so a lot of catching up for me. But.....i hold the most places visited in Oz...hee hee We both agree that there is no way, we will lie down in our sick beds wondering....if only, and both in our late 50s we will do it now before the wheels start falling off. Each year we plan a holiday and work hard towards it, and if we win a freebie along the way.....:>))) then we have two. We are working towards Canada for 2008.That is our goal. Joodles. Have a great trip down to Mandurah. We wuz there in 2001 and also at Preston Beach when my daughters rang me on my mobile to tell me our first grandchild was born.From there we drove to Fremantle, then to Perth, then flew to Broome.We arrived back in Melbourne two weeks before our second grandchild was born.....lol Off to check me tomato plants,and give them a bit of TLC. Av a good un. Just waiting on Wilson to post me last Lotto tickets and i will Email all together.We have over 100 lines..hee hee Tony Oz....:>))) |

~~~~~~~~~~~~ to all, We have this afternoon off as son's wife arrived this morning. So pleased to have her back! Son is doing really well - they have now decided that he only has a broken thumb on the left hand and a chipped bone in the other hand - the one that is stitched up. So maybe once the swelling goes down he will be able to use his fingers. He still has to stay in hospital until he can pass their memory test - he is sooooo annoyed that he can't pass it!!! Shoulder is giving him heaps - it and his head took the impact with the road. Yes - I did get some bargains on Tuesday - seems ages ago. I now have a new dishwasher and a clothesline and some new clothes and swimwear. I also used some points for DJ's and got another dinner setting for 4, matching my one for 8 - so now have 12 matching place settings. Everyone is meant to be here for NY Day. Thank you for all the prayers and thoughts :) Love, Vonny |
well that darned southerly came up, so no kayaking, but we still went fishing and rode our bikes there instead. didn't catch any fish but had a grand time wading around in the lake collecting green weed and riding about the island. poss if off to play in his band for the tonight and the next 2 nights, so a quiet ny period for me and youngest male child. i can cope with that. have nailed dinner (i thought it was 5.30 and was only 4.30) the lounge is looking good - enhanced by a baileys. love yvette xx great to hear things are looking up vonny. give him time.been there with the eldest one, ther's still a patch of his life that he don't remember , but the rest is good. |
We had heard that a fierce storm was on its way, we've got spots of rain and its a bit quiet with threatening skies. sounds aweful, but i kinda like watching hail. You are a piker Tony, they're only girlies!! Do you like fishing Joan? I just like going through the motions, even if I catch nothing. theres been a few yikky bellies about, wondering now if its a bug rather than the food. Miles was disgusted with Poss. for emptying his tummy on the chrissy walk home. he rolled his eyes and said ' uuurrr, hes eaten and drank too much' and kept walking without us. Poss has gone, i've had my 40 (+ quite a few more ) winks - even w/out the baileys and should really at least wash up , hmmph wouldn't mind a dishwasher hows Jood wonder traveller going? and i know about that urge to chuck stuff out, heather, i get it frequently, but only the urge not the chuck. and did I see that anna is shouting all the peeps in the uk a trip to her NY party? did I get it wrong? Is that hpow you're spending the lotto lol. before I go, more food for thought , yesterday i boiled up big sago, and we had it for dessert with mango, banana and lite coconut cream. really filling, and good for you too . no gluton. had the leftovers for lunch today and felt very indulgent. hope your rocking along ok trifley, and also is that bike still working Fluff? love to all from Yvette |
'Twas the month after Christmas, and all through the house Nothing would fit me, not even a blouse. The cookies I'd nibbled, the eggnog I'd taste At the holiday parties had gone to my waist. When I got on the scales there arose such a number! When I walked to the store (less a walk than a lumber). The gravies and sauces and beef nicely rared, The punch and the candy, the bread and the cheese And the way I'd not said, 'No thank you, please.' As I dressed myself in my husband's old shirt And prepared once again to do battle with dirt--- I said to myself, as I only can 'You can't spend a winter disguised as a man!' So--away with the last of the sour cream dip, Get rid of the fruit cake, every cracker and chip Every last bit of food that I like must be banished 'Till all the additional ounces have vanished. I won't have a cookie--not even a lick. I'll want only to chew on a long celery stick. I won't have hot biscuits, or corn bread, or pie, I'll munch on a carrot and quietly cry. I'm hungry, I'm lonesome, and life is a bore--- But isn't that what January is for? Unable to giggle, no longer a riot. Happy New Year to all and to all a good diet! Hehe love Lara Ps just wondered Tony as have now got sort of rellis in Hull UK |
