lol..Love it Lara. Good one...:>)) So are we related mate?........hee hee When i first started research Geno stuff ( newbie ) many, many years ago, i thought we had a town named after us in Yorkshire.....lol....... but had found through the 'One name study' of my surname, and our movements through England, that we came up from London, rather than down from Yorkshire. Some One name Study's, show your surname in the U.K and there movements throughout history on a map. Its Interesting to see and read where abouts in England your surname origionated, its meaning, and where the surname was the most popular throughout time. My surname means: 'Man upon a Hill'...........and thats where I'm going shortly... Box Hill ( where me Bro lives....lol ) If no one puts the Lotto numbers up, i will do it from his place. Mary. Barb has given me a ticket of leave.....lol Yvette. He who pikes and runs away, lives to pike another day...:>))) Tony Oz...:>))) The absconder . |

Mary, I presume you meant when you came home from Orange, you looked left - wrong - should be right - over the railway line. If you were going UP the mtn to Orange, you would have had to look back to the left. .. Next time,I promise I'll wave, or better still, drop in if I am home (tee hee) I'm home late next Thursday night 4th January, then begin the long drive to Bendigo on approx 16-17 January :((( I didn't quite go to Mandurah today, went to Baldivis, which is near Safety Bay en route to Mandurah. Some many many moons ago, I used to fish off the Mandurah traffic bridge and got burnt to a cinder every day. Lovely memories of childhood holidays there. Ahhhhhhhhhh tomorrow the tennis = Russia v Oz I think. But first we have to go next door to the indian peoples place for - (I'm not to sure what, but I'm not hungry, having just had dinner) Jood |

Morning Mary & all Wattlers, You're up early Mary. Lovely day here so far after our storm yesterday arvo. Daughter picked me up from work and we got drenched getting to the car - only small hail at Woden but gee it still hurt. Got into car and it instantly fogged up - we must be heavy breathers - lol - so we sat in the car for 10 minutes or more hoping it would clear but even with demister on Dayna still had to wipe the windscreen so she could see. I managed a load of washing and could even hang it outside when the sun came out, but the chinese laundry is in operation again. Vonny - glad the news is good for your son's hands - thoughts and prayers for you all. Jood - how was your evening with the Indian neighbours? Glad you're having a good time gadding about. Won't be long and you'll be back home for a rest before gadding off again. Trifley - hope things are okay with you Fluffy - hope you and Mel have had fun while she's been home again. Tony - hope the girls are having a good weekend - guess yours is a lot quieter - lol ~~~~~~~~~to all - hope everyone has a great weekend. Gwenda |

Morning Mary, Gwenda and anyone else about, and of course if you are still tucked up in bed too :-) Well we used our Chrissy present last night, and had a bbq at home, sure makes a difference than packing up all the necessities and heading to the park for one. It cooks beautifully :-) Today have got a busy day as it washing the last minute things that the girls need to take away with them, along with making sure we have got all we need too, for our little trip to the coast. We also are going to visit Mum and Dad as its their Wedding Anniversary today, also so the girls can see them before their trip. Vonny Glad your son is improving, bet he's glad that his wife is now with him. Trifley if your looking in hello this is your good week isnt it?? enjoy it :-)))) So where are we going first with our winnings from tonight????? I was reading in the paper yesterday and this is Tassies luckiest year with 14 div 1 winners, soooo after tonight that figure will be 15 :-)))) gotta think positive!!!!!! Well better go and hang out the washing and make a drink. Catch you after. Cheers Sue |

Morning all. Well we didnt have any indian food at all - I think my bil scared the hell out of them saying he didn't eat curry. It was all aussie food except for a plate of mini spring rolls. There were about 2 other couples (also neighbours) plus their parents visiting from India. Rudee & Lena are a charming couple, very very handsome and pretty - the menfolk are over 6 ft tall. They have only one child, a son. Mum didn't say much, mostly sat and looked! An enjoyable evening. You lucky devils over there in the eastern states getting rain, even few drops. I bought a new tiny umbrella about 18 mths-2 yrs ago, and I doubt its ever been used. So hands up those celebrating New Year, or better still, HOW are you spending it??? On the news last night, the police were asking people to stay home!!!!! (We will be) Have a great day all - we are off to the tennis in a few hours. Love Jood |

Hi everyone The sun came out for a little while but now it is clouding over again. Son and DIL and G/kids came for morning tea and brought around the best sausage rolls in Sydney which we get at our local bakery, John told the baker that he thought they were the best in Sydney and he promptly put the price up from $1.80 each to $2,00 each so that is the last time we will tell him his baking is good..lol... Having a lovely relaxed day today so will start some FH.. Love Mary xxxxx |

Afternoon Wattlers, Another downpour this arvo with hail again. Missed it cos I was at work - was loud enough tho for me to hear it in my office. Now the sun is shining again although parts of the sky are very dark - maybe there is more rain to come - fingersxxxxxxd Jood - hope you've had a good day at the tennis - heard we've won some NY's plans - vegging out watching ABC - Michael Buble followed by the Eagles then Cream - what more could I want - stereo will up loud - neighbours are away. Might catch some of the fireworks just so I know what Dayna is seeing - she's off to Sydney tomorrow for a coupla days. Just had one of those rude 'may I view your tree' - nothing else no indication of who or why so I replied was happy to help if I knew what the connection was. Tony - is it all quiet at your house now - don't know why they call them slumber parties as that is the last thing that happens - pmsl Be back later when we win Lotto Gwenda |

Hi Gwenda. Yes..all is quite darn sarf...:>))) and i totally agree with you about why they call them slumber party's.? My first experience as a new dad back in the 80s with my elder girls was a shock to the sytem...lol.....and i will never forget it as long as i live. Scenario: Our lounge room 1985. Slumber party.....4 daughters and 10 of their mates =14 total. Time approx 8:00pm Loud music, and i mean LOUD MUSIC. Tune was 'Girls just wanna have fun'..........6 large blocks of Cadbury chocolate......and the game was one girl lies flat on her back ( Blindfolded ) and another girl kneels across her stomach facing opposite way.( blinfolded ) The idea is, girl flat out on back ( Blindfolded ) feeds chocolate to girl kneeling across her stomach...tempature was about 35c......and after much screaming and laughter i popped my head in around the door ( time approx 10:30 pm ) to see what all the screaming was about?.....WRONG Daughters and 5 of their friends faces, arms, neck, clothes, carpet, furniture, stereo system, legs and anything within a 2 metre radius was dripping Chocolate brown....... Say no more. There was a 60 second silence as these 14 teenage girls looked up at me ( with BIG cheesey chocolate grins ) :>))))))) I just turned back around, and went back into the family room, and told there mother that her daughters wanted her ( note: i said 'her' daughters ) and then quickly left the house by way of the back door....:>))) Since that fateful day i hated the words 'Slumber Party' and that your honour....... is all i can remember. The truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help me god. Amen Tony Oz...:>)))) The absconder, Piker,Chicken or whatever. ps. Singing:You got to know when to hold em, know when to fold em,Know when to walk away and know when to run.You never count your..........Kenny Rogers song |
