Fanny will visit firestation later (ho ho - on the net I mean) btw you (Fanny) were complaining about having to go back to IE because Firefox was playing up. .. Have you tried IE7 - the latest? .. It's not too bad actually. .. I have now deleted Slim browser, MyIE2, Acoo, Mozilla & Firefox (which I have tried) - and I think IE7 has all the same new things. Dum de daa - back to the packing - uhmmm it's lunch time innit? Ok. Lunchbreak! Jood

Arvo Peeps...:>))) Bewdiful day in Melbin town. Channel seven in Melb. ( News ) should be worth watching tonight. There's talk about 'Rain tax for people who have water tanks'. Ya gotta be jokin, surely. Wonder which Idiot thought that up.......... But should make for some interesting viewing. Thought this might happen...... Tax on ya Tank. Hint: If you purchase a Water tank, dont get the Govt.rebate, cos then they know you got one, cos your down on their list. So much for trying to save water. Watching the cricket while doing some FH. Ozzies have 2 fer 7 ........GO OZZIES...lol Mary. I had a quick look at your thread on Records Office. I did have a search for your elusive Sidney Page/Paige but could only spend a little time on it, as i am in the middle of doing research for two ther people at the moment in Ireland. This person ( Sidney Page ) Father: Sidney.......dosent appear to be anywhere on the 1881, given that he was born c.1874. and may have been born O/seas ( possible ). Its also possible he lied about his age at time of marriage ( always a possible....lol ) I have down loaded a few clues which i will check later, if you dont get a positive response from others. If your friend knows the marriage details, i would be trying to purchase the Cert. or at least the Death cert. for confirmation. There was a Sidney Page birth registered Cambridge. ( below ) on the 1881, although the Fathers name dosent tie up. Father: Stephen There is also a person on GR who has these details (below ) in her tree, after i did a 'Quick search' in the space provided above. Sidney PAGE Household Male Other Information: Birth Year <1877> Birthplace Ickleton, Cambridge, England Age 4 Occupation Scholar Marital Status Head of Household Stephen PAGE Relation Son Disability Source Information: Dwelling Mill Lane Census Place Ickleton, Cambridge, England Family History Library Film 1341400 Public Records Office Reference RG11 Piece / Folio 1671 / 35 Page Number 25 ***************************************** Also the U.S.A has a registered Sidney Page Father: Sidney 1880 Census......although the birth year dosent match.born.abt 1859. ( below ) Its the only Sidney Page i can find with Father: Sidney. Name: Sidney Page Home in 1880: Corpus Christi, Nueces, Texas Age: 21 Estimated birth year: abt 1859 Birthplace: Virginia Relation to head-of-household: Son Father's name: Sydney Father's birthplace: VA Mother's name: Fannie Mother's birthplace: VA Neighbors: View others on page Tony Oz....:>)))

Hi all, Hope you've all booked your nursing home - gave me a good laugh to start the day and glad it tickled other's funny bones too. Message from Pips - her OH was laughing so much trying to read it to her - anyway he's gone and booked his room - pmsl Sandra - loved the story of the cockies - love watching them hang on the power lines - their balance leaves a lot to be desired at times. We often have them trying to get the rubber strip out of the street lights, then they swing away on the end - very entertaining birds. Lara - loved the soup commercial Tony - missed the ABC - but can watch it anytime cos I got the DVD - loved that concert Yvette - dont know what wardrobe guy thought of mess but he's quoting for 2 bedroom wardrobes, linen cupboard update in passage and office bench, shelf, 2 filing cabinets & cupboard for study (was the dining room) so I think he was more interested in the work I'm putting his way. Then he & OH got talking model cars - that's another project he's likely to get before heading outside to look at the Torana. Hoping to get back to the h.......k on Tuesday - have to work tomorrow but can feel my feng shui improving already. Warm day here again and smokey with it. Catchya later Gwenda

late arvo all, Just had a birthday afternoon tea for youngest daughter - 25! - which sort of went into teatime and now I am all sugared out. AGAIN!! I was hoping I would lose weight on the camp but - no way, all those biccys we took with us :( Just sent everyone some mail Jood :) Wedding yesterday was lovely - they had lived together for 5 years but you could see that the wedding was a deeper commitment. We truely enjoyed ourselves. Although the reception was held at a place called The Boathouse so they served mostly seafood for entrees. I dislike seafood so was a bit starving come dinner time! but dinner was lovely - terribly upmarket and fancy - but still lovely. Guess what girls (and boys) the seventies is back in wedding fashions - full veils, long trains and beading. bridesmaids wore a very nice shade of deep pink - dresses were sashed and pleated chiffony stuff (I don't sew) and the flowers were pastel coloured lillies and pastel orchids for the bride and pretty pink and white poseys for the girls. The table decorations were super - pink rosebuds floating inside large glass cylinders so that they were magnified. I tried to copy something similar for d's birthday today but I had to use a large preserving jar instead. Still, you could see the idea! Original and novel. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ to all Vonny

How amazing is that vonny, my eldest was 25 today too!!! we were in pain together. He was born at 0830, so he's been 25 for most of the day The fellow i 'spoke' to today in NZ's family lived in the same small street as mine. not the same house this time but next door. I think there were only 14/15 dwellings. Even more remarkable, we are not related love Yvette x

Your artistic decorations sounded lovely Vonny! .. Fancy your daughter and Fanny's son being born on the same day eh? Tony - missed the moozik - bet you enjoyed it tho - did you self medicate for it? Nothing much on the tele tonight - might as well google earth or play games or something. .. Bit too early for bed. I dinny tell you guys that I ordered 6 bottles of the storberry wine on the internet, and its being sent to Bendigo (but - I'm bringing what's left of it back to Sydney). .. I wanted to try some there. .. Obviously you can't buy it direct from a liquor store. Jood

Now there is a lovely winery down in Bendigo and it is just past Mackers on the left hand side as you go through Kangaroo Flat.as if you are going to Melbun .about 1km past.on the highway.cant remember the name but it may have the word Bridge in it..Its not Newbridge I dont think but go and have a look No I think it is Water Wheel or something like that. Have a look and tell me as I think I am suffering from CRAFT. Still no luck with my Page men.. Have now asked if someone with Ancestry De Luxe can have a look in case they came from the States or somewhere else. Daughter a family turned up this afternoon unexpected which was nice. Evening. The moosic i was refering to was of course, 'A long way to the top' Think Barb has put her back out again..lol She still thinks she's 16......and who am i to argue. She had the bop part working and the hips swinging to the music, but when the music stopped the hips kept moving and her bop busted a button.....?? hee hee We have the DVD.too. Barb did go to the Concert when it was in Melbin at the tennis centre to see her heart throbs Billy Thorpe and Normie aint nessicarily Rowe. The programe that was on today on tele had a bit extra, as they were interviewing the stars one on one as well between songs, which you dont get on the DVD.so she taped that as well. Tony Oz...:>)) Likkle Patti was my throb..lol

Off to google earth - daughter and I checked out NY yesterday and I've checked out the neighbourhood - gee when I take my morning constititional it looks a fair distance - only 2 thousand something steps in reality. Wow, Yvette, amazing coincidence :) However, I was well and truely over it all by morning. All mine - except one - were very early morning children and youngest was born after a midnight 'dash' down a gravel mountain road with a really thick mist and a high wind. Took an hour to get to Taree and I dreaded every single wooden bridge - and there were heaps as the creek winds back and forth. Was a sealed road from Wingham to Taree though. I stayed in hospital for a week. Who wants to go home to a wood fired stove and three other children? I needed the rest :) Night all, catch you tomorrow. Vonny
