I'm here Gwenda - just. I've been sleeping in here longer (well, I dont exactly rush to get out of bed) It was actually cold last night, cool this morning. No more rain, but greyish clouds. I DO NOT mind this cool weather!!!!! My dreams of getting a great suntan before Mudgee have been shattered :( - oh well, I can always wear neck to knees lol Happy trip to Trifley, Happy launching to Vonny, Happy 2nd or is it 3rd or 4th honeymoon to Mary, Happy painting to Laurie, Happy reunion Tony, Happy day to everyone else. (sorry) but geez I'm cold !!! Hope Mr D has been good JA. The resident siamese here (Kara) - jumped up on my lap the other day while I was sitting here, climbed onto my shoulder and thence to the back of the high chair behind me and sat looking at me in the mirror on the wall in front of the computer ! She is one of the gentlest cats Cheri has had. The others were gentle, but didn't realise they weren't contracting their claws sometimes :( I always had claw marks in me. Kara travels well down to the beach house, is quite used to the car and different houses. Shhhhh! I think I will make a cuppa before the rest wake up - and the sunday paper is sitting invitingly on the table, where the golfer put it earlier. *creeps out* Jood |

Morning Wattlers I was woken to a strange sound at aboout 6 am this morning, had to lay there for a few minutes to work out what it was........................ It was rain, not just light misty stuff, but heavy downpour Yipeee!!!!!!! Bet Barb is as unhappy as me today Tony, boo hoo Lleyton is out, I didnt see Barb at Tennis, was too engrossed in Tele to look at our thread. Oh well all I can say now is roll on footy season only a few weeks now :-)))))))))))))) Dad had a good day yesterday and he looked real well, sometimes he doesnt look too good, but he never lets on if he is not well. I didnt have a real good nights sleep last night, a too active mind I think, found out yesterday that Nan and Pops old farm is now a Bed and Breakfast place. I used to love going to the farm and would spend most of my Christmas holidays with Nan and Pop. The owners have built a guest house on the property and when they first sold the place they said the family could come and have a look anytime they liked, it is now a deer farm. I am thinking I would love to go and stay a night there to see what its like now, its been about 16 years since the farm was sold. But then Im not sure if I will be saddened by any changes that more than likely would have been done, mmmm should I remember the place as it was, or should I go and have a look???????? Trifley, probably have missed you, hope you have a great holiday. ~~~~~~ to Ducky~~~~~ those bed bugs must have been biting me last night. Hope everyone has a great day. Cheers Sue |

Morning from a much cooler Melbin. Rained on and off all day yesterday, and O/cast skies today with a cool wind blowing. Jood. I see your adjusting to Vic. weather mate...lol Stinking hot one day. Freezin cold the next. Barb fell in the door at 2:30am this morning with a look of devistation on her face. Her beloved Leynton was knocked out of the Tennis, but she did enjoy watching him play, and loves her tennis overall. We are off to grandson James ( J.A.G ) 1st birthday party today. Just seems like yesterday i was announcing his birth on this thread. Wishing everyone a great day, whatever you are doing. Tony Oz....:>)) |

Morning all.. Hot day today but nice,,We have the A/C on which helps. We had a lovely night at the Four Seasons Hotel and had a lovely room with a fantastic view of the harbour. This morning a lovely cruise boat came in to Circular Quay, and the ferries were rushing in and out. Quite lovely. We had a great meal last night and pre dinner drinks in the bar. After dinner we went back to the bar and had coffee and I had spied a coffee that I wanted when we were having our brandy and dry and ordered it,, It was so yummy with 2 liquers in it .. Didnt need a martoonie after that. Went back to our room and watched the tennis (sad) and this morning we had a lovely buffet breakfast included in the prize. Dont need to eat for a week,,Took some pickles from our room so will send some out.. I now need a coffee so back later Love Mary xxxxx |

Hi Tony and other lovely Wattlers who are not melting in the heat! Yes Tony, I actually stayed up and watched the tennis as it was way too hot in the house, so had the telly set up in our outdoor area. What a match that was (and I'm not even a tennis fan). Too hot again today in house (fibro cottage, zilch air con, temps get to about 55 - no joke) so we are off to the movies at the Dendy to see either The Queen, Volver, or Marie Antoinette. My choice of movies today!! Have a great day and pop in again later Lyn |

Afternoon everyone Have been to the markets this morning and bought veges and plants. Then we took a picnic lunch and a blanket and sat in the park listening to the Toowoomba Folk Club concert. Most enjoyable. Have had a text message from darling daughter at 'Big Day Out' at the Gold Coast saying she is having a wonderful time so that put my mind at rest. It must be so hot out there in the open air but she has lots of sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses and plenty of water so there's not much more she can do. She'll be home from the coast about 12.30 tonight I guess. Did I tell you we saw The Queen last night at the movies? Very entertaining. Yvette- so glad to see you back - missed ya. (((mwah)))) Lara - you poor sweetheart. Now be a good girl and do your detox so that you're OK for Mudgee. Lotsa hugs - must be wretched to go through. Vonny - congrats on the successful launch of the boat. Waiting for pics. Mary - so glad you and John had a lovely evening. Looking forward to those pics too. Laurie - hope TLR's office is getting back to normal - you've certainly put in some hard yards there. The Queen will be off at Monrville drinking coffee. I told her to have a half strength one for me .......... and pigs might fly!!!! Hello Ducks - you are on a promise my girl. Otherwise I will have to set Princess Lew onto you and that would not be pleasant! To all the hot bods - well you know what I mean - hot bods who are hot as well - veg out for the afternoon. I am gong to lie back in the lazyboy with my feet up and the airconditioning turned up and watch the cricket. A query for those more clever at FH than I am. I know Chris's Irish great grandmother came to Adelaide from Plymouth on the Hydrabad arriving in Adelaide 15th February, 1878. She came without any family but someone told me that I might be able to tell from the passenger list and ship log if she came with a lot of other single women and whether she was an assisted passage. Can anyone enlighten me? Have a great afternoon everyone Love Anna |

Those who visit the weekender can see a photo on the thread and also some on the Photo's page :) Poor Lara - I do hope you are being careful. Hi everyone, Just to let you know that I am still live and kicking. I haven't been a very happy grl, just got a bit down, but I think I am coming out of it now. Got a few problems to sort out, but getting there. I have been reading every ones antics and I notice that I am not the only one a bit under the weather so to speak. Not a good start for 2007 so it can only get better. Not all bad, I have made a few contacts re FH, just hope that some of them come through. It is a hot one today, but there is a breeze blowing through the window to make it liveable. Lara, do be careful, it sounds a very drastic diet that you are on, but on the other hand if it works please let me know what it is, I would love to loose about 25 kilos. Hope Mike is feeling better. Yvette, we should have had a chat to get over the blues together. LOL One of my problems has been my puta. I downloaded the 2007 edition of my internet security and every thing has decided to go slow. And I keep getting web sites popping up all he ime. I will be writing a strong letter to trend micro today. I also downloaded Google Earth, but the pictures that I am getting are very old. Do I need to pay $20 to get up to date ones? Don't know what is happening now, but not all the letters are printing, keeping having to go back and put them in. There is also a dead kangaroo at the other side of the road that is starting to smell quite ripe. Yuk Ducky, I hope that you will soon start to feel better, my thoughts are with you. Jill, I hope that the weather picks up for your holiday, won't be long now. My turn for Lotto this week, can't forget it because it is on Neville's birthday. Will probably get it on Friday. I think that I should go now, feeling better already jus chatting to you Bye for now SuzyQ |

Yes Mary - get your litle tail up to Brisvegas - it will be 12 months in May since we had the last Brisvegas meet. Cheers Anna |
